Yea. Im a lot better. Thanks.
I still remember when RG called DMT. Only time I have ever heard him use a nickname for a player lol
DMT hasn’t had the opportunity to fully come into his own yet due to the injuries………..but last season he took some huge strides and now with The Neck throwing him the ball, he will enter BEAST MODE for the entire season and has the potential to be a top 5 receiver.
Kod inuries have bugged DMT. But (hopefully) he is past it and he can continue.
1st offensive play in regular season 80 yd TD pass Manning to DMT…How fitting and funny would that be?
ab- I must have missed that story. Are you referring to RGIII ?
That would be hilarious AB………….but I think PM will be more methodical in his attack and march it down the field, eating time off the clock and letting the other team know they can’t be stopped.
No Rodger Goodell. I hate typing his name because I dont like him lol. But when DMT was drafted he called Demaryius Bay Bay Thomas. Only time I heard him use a nickname.
Hey y’all. I love our WR’s, and it will be interesting to see who makes the final cut, as there are several quality younger guys competing for the same spots. Add in our TE’s, and our passing game will be legit. I can’t wait to see our first 3rd and long completed….. It’s been awhile……
I am however slightly concerned with our RB’s. We can’t expect the same from McGahee this year IMO. If we get it, great, but we can’t count on it. Hillman might be electric, but other than that, we have a mediocre group of guys, most of who are recovering from knee injuries. Mario Fannin is the one guy who I think could be a pleasant surprise, but right now I’m not very confident with the group as a whole. The only thing that makes me feel good is that John Fox knows how to run the ball, and really should’ve got more credit for last years success in that area, rather than you know who… Lol
Kod Im sure it would be a march down the field but you never know. DMT could break away. Just would find it rather funny.
OT RB is considered to be out weak point on offense by many. (Not including C) But I feel confident they will do enough to take pressure off of Manning.
Not sure which I’m more excited for:
a) first 3rd and long completion for a first down
b) first CHECK DOWN and completed screen pass
Im excited for a screen as they are my favorite offensive play. And we saw maybe two all last year? lol
3rd and longs? There won’t be any 3rd and longs! Only 3rd and shorts! LMAO
Oh ok – Goodell. Thanks…. lol.
I think what will DMT’s strength is his YAC. He can turn a 10 yard reception into 40 in the blink of an eye. Or an 80 yarder like the one we seen last year!
Great point kod! We certainly won’t be put in those positions as much this year, but after watching all those failed 3rd down attempts last year, I forgot what one looks like…
I agree AB, I love the screen pass as well, and with our OL (which I’m a fan of), our WR’s ability to block downfield, and Ronnie Hillman’s quickness and downfield vision (plus Moreno of he makes the team), the screen might just be our home play this season!
Yea lol. That was my bad. Wasnt clear enough when I said that lol.
That reminds me that I was at my uncles house during that draft and when Tebow was selected he fainted. He is a huge Tebow hater and has been forever. It was rather funny when it happened. He went from jumping up and down and screaming for DMT to fainting for Tebow lol
I liked Moreno when used in the screen game. IMO he can increase his value through the screens this year. Hillman would also be great to see! I love the versatility and mobility of our Oline. Screens I think will be very important this year.
*home run play
Our WR’s stretch the field, and Manning dumps it off to Hillman/Moreno and then the blocking starts….
I think that’s NoShow’s only value at this point……….if he can stay healthy. He’s good when he gets to the outside. But can he shake the injury bug?
Kod Moreno should just get the ball on the outside get what he can and before he gets hit he gets out of bounds.
Our WR’s def got a lot of practice at blocking last season…….
Marshmelo, didn’t mean to make light of the homes that have gone down as well. Flying w was just fresh on my mind because i had just heard a radio interview on it. Even the manager who spoke directed attention and prayers towards the homes also lost around that area (and other parts of CO). Its definitely a sad thing when people are displaced by no fault of thier own, whether its hurricane katrina or lightning wildfires, its amazing how the planet can just kick our butts at will. Never knew CO had wildfires like that, thought cali cornered the market in that disaster category. I feel like ive been hearing about the wildfire since i was in dominican republic, this thing has been going on for a long time and i pray it stops soon.
later days, TRB
The screen pass is definitely Moreno’s only value at this point. But I could see him make the team in that role, and if/when he gets hurt, we cut him and call up whoever was put on the practice squad.
Mario Fannin’s the dark horse but with the Broncos not making any other moves to p/u an RB, they must be content with who they have in the stable…lol.
Fannin has the build, (5’10″ 231 lbs) to be a back who can carry the load in the running game. Also has great speed.
McGahee would be a great back to have in the red zone.
Hilman the scatback catching screens and dump offs.
Ball – a backup.
Moreno???
FYI – Benson has not signed as of yet with the Faiders.
AB, i agree, Moreno plays too recklessly for his fagility, he needs to just run out of bounds or slide or learn to take a hit in less disasterous manners. He is not a pounder and should realize this by now and just go down lightly or out of bounds. Out of the character of a RB but sometimes RB gotta play like a receiver lol. But last years injury was mad fluke tho
later days, TRB
RBF1 I would much rather have Moreno than Fumbles the Ball.
Hopefully fannin works out … man has great hands too. And was running up a storm in last years camp. I hope all our RBs pan out so at the very least we can have trading chips. McGahee and Fannin could do most of the heavy lifting and Hillman and Moreno can both scat catch screens and change pace. Both of them because they are both not the biggest guys. Would hate to lose either of them along the way but i doubt it this year since we won’t be as run heavy.
TRB
I personally don’t acknowledge Lance “fumbles can’t catch a cold” Balls existence. But we need depth. So he is welcome.
We need depth but I would rather have Moreno there instead of ball.
TRB Yes sometimes a RB needs to just step out of bounds. Moreno just needs to do it all the time. Screens and injury free season can increase his value so we can get something in return for him.
We’ll see what happens with Moreno. All I know is this is the first time he is NOT guaranteed a roster spot, and his career is even coming into question. Having your back against the wall often brings out the best in you, and let’s hope that holds true for Moreno. We all know his injury history, but let’s hope Luke Richesson’s techniques will help him out. I’m a firm believer in exploring more up-to-date training techniques, as ‘tricking’ the body is key to achieve solid gains. I take my hat off to our FO for making this financial commitment to the team!

Honestly, I’d like to see Moreno contribute as well, ab.
He just needs to focus on making the Team and prove he’s an asset in lieu of a liability.
LOL at TRB’s 08:32 post re: Ball… very true TRB, very true…lol!!
