No one from our squad thats for sure…. except maybe von miller … and thats a huge maybe. TRB
hey are we wearing Orange this week?
Champ? Britton? Willis M? (at least until this injury). TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT (since its a fan vote. Or popular vote. Whatever it’s called these days)
GO BRONCOS!!
Colquitt for the Pro Bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our best chance to win this week would be w/ Orton at QB and Tebow at RB/HB … I’m serious … (alright, alright – I know what most will say – “and stupid”) … but just think about it … we sure don’t have any other RBs …
Also – wasn’t that a GREAT play that#55 – Williams – made … I was so happy to see that … after 60 some minutes of football, he still had enough left to fight his way to the QB and literally take the ball away … that really won the game for us …
BRIAN DAWKINS, CHAMP BAILEY, VON MILLER, RYAN CLADY……….TIM TEBOW LOL
Are u guys kidding me? Dawkins has been a good of safety as anyone in the league so far.
Hoping for a win on Sunday. But it is going to be difficult if it is even possible. If Moreno can’t run the rock effectively, then it will be on Tebow. And while I love that he plays amazing with the game on the line, I would prefer he play well the rest of the time. It will be stiff competition. My common sense says we will lose, but I have a hard time ruling us out with Tebow and the rest of the team playing with such fire in the 4th qtr the last 2 games.
Denver – 24
Detroit – 23
God help me. Tebow makes me believe in the Broncos. I pray that he makes that belief worth while.
Go Broncos!
lets go fans we gotta get Champ into the probowl!!!! i think it would be some kind of record….so 5 times per person lets go
Wiemin,Tebow will be the RB,and QB…haha!
He had 65 yards last week!!!!
Bay Bay Thomas is the obvious choice to stretch the field with deep passes … I would love to see us try with royal … not tall enough but fast enough. But then again Bay Bays route running is avg at best which is why he almost always runs either a streak, wr screen or fade. TRB
I don’t know anything about a special trainer for Tebow, it’s just that young coach – don’t know his name – that you see right behind Tebow in a lot of the pics from practice. That is something you didn’t see for Orton. Looks like special attention to me.
Bay – you’ve been verbally choked out. haha Dead as a door-nail! You gotta think that EFX are suicidal, and that they really only stuck Tebow in to appease the fans = not. Quinn was never #2 not for one second, no matter what was reported, and it was exclusively Orton’s failure that demanded Tebow be the next man up. Fox is not a good enough actor to be ‘faking it’ when he is excited about the successes of Tebow. EFX are 6 games and two QB’s into this and the fans are already out for blood – they know they have to get it right and soon. Unfortunately that puts Tebow under a lot of pressure and gives him little time to grow into the shoes of Elway.
Wieman- the best place for Orton is on the sideline advising Tebow – remind you of Kubiak?
NO MORE – EEYORE!!! I love him on the sidelines.
You and SNDVL with your Orton love affair just plain don’t make sense to me. I’m glad you support the greatest team in the NFL. I appreciate your sincere passion for the game – but how can you stand to be as mediocre as Orton, and like it???
Amen!
The best place for Orton is down the road.. Get out of Denver baby…
Orton is not very supportive of Tebow or the Broncos…..
I have the game on DVR and Orton is not happy in most of the shots while he chews his large wad of skull and lips things like “the guy was f’n wide open” and then when he went out and lost the coin toss he just laughed his arse off all the way to the sideline about it. I have it on dvr, I’ve seen his smugy smirking attitude with my own eyes…
Orton is very bitter and anyone who thinks he would be a great backup QB to TT is just fooling yourself about his attitude, probably because you feel sorry for him…
just sayin…..
O-B-G
It was preseason game number 4 and Quinn was walking off the field after a dismal showing – I told my boys, that was the last professional NFL game for Quinn.
The game progressed in the second half with the Tebow to Riley show. ARI had good defense and the 2nd string O-line for the Broncos was completely dominated, culminating in a bad loss.
I was astounded to read the next day that Quinn was now assumed to be the #2 QB.
Nope – it never was. Quinn remains on the sidelines apart from a disastrous set of circumstances. I predict he will never play again in the NFL.
(I watched Luck play and I’m wondering – he is a great college QB as was Quinn – will Luck have any better luck? Everyone seems so confident in this kid and no doubt he deserves a substantial shot at the NFL and a great rookie payday – but who is really to say?)
I saw the smug on Orton’s face when he lost the coin toss, the dude was happy,we don’t need him on our team, not one FREAKING time did Tebow want us to lose when he was on the bench,Orton SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CUT ORTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should recognize what the Orton coin toss represents.
We are right in the middle of the greatest NFL comeback in history and everything is going the Broncos way. The Miracle in Miami has one little itty bitty little dingy spot in a 10 minute series of events culminating in the DEN win.
Yep you know it – the coin toss!!!
Weiman/ SNDVL what are you guys thinking!!!
I know, I know – he gives us our best chance to win!!!
ha ha
Man … u guys are high critical of orton even on the sideline … man I can just feel the love lol.
Dont worry, he has no intentions of being a back up … or staying in denver when more than half the city hates u. And most of the hate is too no fault of his own … sure his inadequate play aint help but he was given the job and he played, he didnt start the QQ, didnt ask to be sent here in cutler trade and didn’t name himself the starter. Sure his skills are avg at best but how bout some love for orton? …. no? nothing? … well i tried lol.
TRB
Sorry TRB – I’m a little sick to my stomach tonight – maybe a flu coming on – makes me ornery!
I think I posted before that as a young father with his first child – Orton has all the support I can give –
but as a QB – with his paycheck – no sympathy from me.
Yeah BFE..! I rewound it and slo-mo’ed and pause on it and watched it over and over again until my wife made me quit cursing at the tv and that arrogant bast… ahem, son of a gun!!!….
Ahem..turd, Orton is a cancer on this team and we cannot get rid of him soon enough…!!! Sorry TRB, no love for the player who hates the fans the most… you get what you give, the coercive force of love I guess…lol haha…
The (doubt) of winning starts and ends with Orton…. Even worse from the bench….
It’s on camera for bloody rights…. What more evidence do we need to know the truth… He is on camera visibly exuding mental disdain towards our team…
My Heart of hearts tells me that McCoy is also laughing under his skin a little bit…. Or, I’m wrong and he just has the offensive creativity of a painted rock…
Just one old man’s humble opine… joomho lol:)
ILMSDB!!!!!
McCoy aint bad … I just seriously believe we can do way better … blah … if only we could get Dennison as HC …. that would be fantastic lol.
TRB – I’m not with the guys wanting to boot Orton now. I like Orton playing back-up. I don’t want Quinn on the field for even one play. Quinn is a disaster in football pads.
It does make you wonder though just what is behind the lack of; confidence / team spirit / locker room chemistry – that precipitates 55 minutes of bad football? Broncos have got to coagulate!!! Now please – before the Lions game….
I think Elway ought to be demoted to OC. Then we need to get one of those hard nosed, cut-throat GM’s. Get rid of X-
mccoy is unable to coach a successful o lead by tebow. no conspiracy just what it is. not every coach can coach every player.
I just feel that denver will not go full out tebow. wont do it. under normal circumstances we may have but not when exec leadership has a differant three year plan.
orton has only proved to be a chump. no one can deny it is almost impossible to her replaced and not be pissed. but they all talk about how professional he is. his actions of late prove the real ko. losing brings out the worst in winners, losers like kyle have no excuse , individually attacking tebow, when ko made mistakes it was a team effort. ko is a chump
TRB – I think you are right about McCoy – I thought the MIA game ought to be written up conservative so Tebow could get his feet wet with an easy win against a bad team.
I’m guessing that McCoy needed to read the posts here and follow Bay’s advice and not underestimate the defense of MIA. MIA D really played well. Even when Tebow decided to start making his passes count – our receivers were well covered.
Fells had 3 guys on him when Tebow hit him near the endzone. Amazing! and with Tebow near the endzone did we have any doubt that Tebow could get it in? Oh the difference!!! With Orton we knew he couldn’t get it in from under 10 yards. Same McCoy calling the plays.
EFX and McCoy are all going to begin looking like geniuses in short order. Maybe just my wishful thinking but definitely based on my confidence in Tebow.
I would be in favor of canning both Orton and Quinn and bringing up Weber. I like the kid! He could be the future of DEN.
Tebow is still far more entertaining – I loved the heart palpitating interest factor – I was probably weeping profusely from adrenaline overload, and I loved every iota of success. I love the fact they are calling it the “Miracle in Miami” and I love that they are comparing it to ‘the drive’ even though it was a far less significant circumstance.
Tebow is our starting qb. i know it aint preetty and i agree he needs to improve in a lot of areas. but the passion he brings to our team and he always gives us a chance to win. For those of u who think Tebow is a bandaid till we draft luck, dont be too sure. We are not the worst team in NFL, miami , indy, and st. louis are a lot worse then us. So we would have to give up the farm to get the #1 overall draft pick. I think our team has too many holes to fill in the draft instead give it all up on a qb. Who are the raiders. i think it will take time. untill then i will support our new qb, like i always have only this time this one gives us a chance to win.
So Cal – where are you? I’m in Lancaster, CA.
If Tebow is our QB AND our leading rusher, we will LOSE … mark it down …
also – if he continues to run the ball, that BIG HIT is coming … it’s inevitible … this year – next year – who knows – but it will come …
You know, I do like Orton, always have … but he had a good opportunity here, until Tebow came along, and he didn’t come through … but no matter what he did, he was probably doomed … so – best he move on, which he undoubtedly will next year … unless, of course, that BIG HIT happens this year, and then I don’t know what we’ll do … and so – if Tebow can get a handle on what an NFL QB has to do, and he DOES become an NFL QB, it would really be a pretty sight here in Denver … imagine him KNOWING what the job entails, and performing like the other top-notch QBs do now – even performing Elwayesque – that would be a dream come true for so many Bronco fans … I’m sure that’s what so many of you envision … but the getting there is going to be very painful, for us and for TT … just look at how many players make the injury list every week … these are the guys that do the hitting and take the hitting … for a QB to stay healthy, they need to almost totally avoid that constant bombardment – Elway was a tough SOB, and he was able to take a licking and keep on ticking … but most of them can’t … I saw Cam Newton take a helluva shot at the goalline last week – something he’s been doing very well to avoid – and if he takes a lot like that he’s really asking for it …
So – week to week … don’t get impatient … and why bad-mouth the coaches, just ’cause they don’t have a “plan” for Tebow that matches what your “dream” plan is … put a little faith in them, that they know what they’re doing … man – they get paid a lot of $$ to do their job – and who the hell would we get to replace them?? … there are a lot of coaches around the league today that last year people – yes, people here – thought were geniuses that this year look like dunces because their teams are doing so bad … last Sunday, there were 7 early games – 14 teams playing – and 9 OF THOSE 14 TEAMS didn’t score a first-half touchdown!!!!!!!!! … you think we’ve got problems …
daddybronc, i am in Corona, Riverside County.
wiemin, orton was doomed because he sucks. plain and simple. also these coaches get paid alot and fired alot. thats the Not For Long. and succcesful teams build a game plan and offense around their qb. we are just asking that they do that.
Weiman – I like most of what you said. And you are correct that Tebow cannot be rushing for over 100 yards on any given Sunday – won’t work.
One thing you are missing in that last post is that Tebow is in better playing condition than most NFL players due to his personal habits and self -discipline. He gave and took some hard wacks and I never perceived him to be getting up slowly. He loves that stuff.
It may be that EFX are allowing him to continue that because injury is the only way that they can figure getting out of the Tebow thing.
I think Tebow was given a lot of option plays and Tebow chose to run and hand off because he knew he had the jitters early and made some stupid looking overthrows.
SoCal – Hi neighbor.
hey neighbor
Spot every remaining opposing teams 20 points at the beginning of the game then we’ll be in the playoffs and Tebow will be all an pro this year…lol
There is no denying his comeback abilities. If his name wasn’t Tim Tebow the analysts would already be calling his two huge comebacks wins in his first four starts and the near comeback in relief legendary or a guy on the fast track to be becoming a legend.
With that said, I definitely agree that he needs to improve his overall accuracy.
I think alot of it is, besides not being in the spread, is that he’s too cognizant of his throwing motion, especially early in the game before he reverts to his instincts.
Maybe they should tell him to forget trying to change it or think about it and just try to speed up his natural mechanics or he should take it upon himself to do it. He’d basically be taking Joe Montana’s advice. As one commentator on ESPN said, ‘He looked over coached in the first 55 minutes then he looked natural in the last 5.’ (paraphrasing)
He went what ? 30 for 35 and 450 yards in his last bowl game throwing to what some anaylsts are now calling pro ready recievers who according to them made him look good throughout his college career. He accuracy seemed fine hitting fast receivers before everybody told him to change his throwing motion IMO.
I agree tyeone. I throw sidearmed n im no pro or college player but i can throw just fine my way but people have told me to throw normal.i guess youd call it and man its horrible and uncomfortable for me to try i say if he can get the job done throwing his way why not? If aint broke dont fix it.
I think about 80% of Tebow’s problems is between his ears, the game seems to fast for him, cant go thru his reads fast enough, doesnt see where the blitz is coming from early enough, his throwing mechanics i could careless about because he has shown he can get it done at times (albeit when teams seem to be in prev
I noticed in some of the other blolgs people were talking playoffs and how important this Lions game was, i think that is obsurd looking at the schedule and knowing Tebow could be starter rest of the year, we might not win 2 more games….
Tebow came along and took Orton’s starting job, well BOO FREAKING HOO,Orton lost his starting job because he didn’t deserve it,I’m tired of his boring play for the past 2 years,we need excitment and passion and Tebow brings all that………..BELIEVE!!!
PLAYOFFS….PLAYOFFS….DID SOMEBODY SAY PLAYOFFS????
For all we know Orton was laughing because someone told a funny joke at midfield?
I could have swore I seen him sitting next to Tebow on more than one occasion while the D was on the field.
BTW cladybunch. That comment might get you branded an Ortonite.
Clady – you’re in there with Weiman and Sndvl – I can’t comprehend you either. You may be right about not winning two more games, but if so – it won’t be Tebow’s fault. He has the tools to win – if there is a problem between the ears it was put there by the coaching staff. I think better thoughts though about the team and the talent is there and I think the Broncos are on the edge of pulling it together.
I find it quite hilarious.
Ortonite is a term used to describe the fans of WWE star Randy Orton and used by his most loyal fans before he became famous/fan favorite.
Ortonites are not bandwagon fans…
Thank you SNDVL for the right words – Clady you are Ortonite! LOL
Well that would be false,I was tired of the non playmaking Orton over the last couple years myself, but honestly with how it looked last week we could be in for a long season…
SUNDVL – I think that you are right in that Orton seemed to be giving Tebow his best on the sidelines / where he belongs….
I don’t want to be lumped in with the fire Orton group.
