2012 Opponents Set

January 2nd, 2012 - 10:58am by Gray Caldwell

With the regular season over, the Broncos know which opponents they’ll be facing in next season’s slate.

Among the matchups is a rematch with this Sunday’s playoff opponent and two non-divisional rematches from the 2011 campaign.

Denver will take on the AFC North — Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Cleveland — and the NFC South — New Orleans, Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay — as part of the NFL’s rotation, in addition to its three AFC West opponents.

The remaining two games on the schedule are against the first-place teams in the other two AFC conferences — New England and Houston — since the Broncos won the AFC West.

Denver takes on seven teams that reached the playoffs this season — including four on the road.

The complete week-by-week schedule will be released by the league at a later date — typically in April.

10-34 is pretty close to the norm, so far we got

    10-31
    10-38
    6-35
    6-24
    3-24

Or about a 3 TD spread at least.

  2. raidrhadr says:

BFE you got that right. I’m suprised they didn’t fire hime too.

  3. baylinorcrush says:

Spagnuolo and Morris fired are two of the guys some bloggers wanted us to hire when we hired McD. Rams also fired their GM, that’s radical stuff.

  4. raidrhadr says:

Bay you’re right. I liked both of those guys to come here too. Who know what may have happened if either of them came here. Moot point now though.

  5. BeastFromEast92 says:

Somebody even said bring McD back as OC to help Tebow….LMAO!

  6. OrangeTsunami says:

    *next week

Lol. Btw, I don’t mean to discourage any Tebow lovin’ so have at it! We all can agree we want the Broncos to win!!!

  7. MarshMelo15 says:

The only reason I would want Mcd back in Denver is so we can tar and feather him and run him out of town!!!

  8. BeastFromEast92 says:

Bay I guess we are the spoiled brats,Elway spoiled us showing us what a real QB looks like!

  9. S.D.Bronco30 says:

    McD is NO genius

I think Ben is going to eat our safetys alive.

  10. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Bronc on guys…it’s suppertime here…6:00.

  11. S.D.Bronco30 says:

Yeah, its Elway’s fault for spoiling us older guys!! Those were the days!!!

  12. OrangeTsunami says:

Spring cleaning in January.. Lol. I think McCoy is not immune to a change, if we don’t see something a little more effective to build on

  13. baylinorcrush says:

Well, yes you only get one Elway in your lifetime, glad I got mine.

  14. risky305 says:

I will not object to McD coming back as a OC…he wasnt ready to be a HC and da rams have no offensive line for him to work with…I think with Dennis Allen Running the D and McD running the O and Fox managing both we can go to the superbowl next year..

  15. S.D.Bronco30 says:

Me too bay, it was an honor and a pleasure!!

  16. baylinorcrush says:

McD back in Denver is such an outrageous suggestion, I completely ignored it, acted as if I never heard it.

  17. risky305 says:

guess i smacked ya back BFE wit the spoiled brat comment….lol wake up

  18. baylinorcrush says:

These losses are really making some bloggers lose their minds, LOL.

  19. S.D.Bronco30 says:

One thing about the fans on this blog, no matter their beliefs, love or hate of certain players/coaches or if they even get along with each other, you are all passionate…..I love it!!

  20. S.D.Bronco30 says:

It made me throw up a little in my mouth bay!

Sorry risky, I just did not care for him at all but respect your right to your opinion. Not picking on you.

After the last few years as a Broncos fan. its been very dissapointing. especially with the last 2 years under McD. Wathcing our franchise get rid of all the talent while not drafting any defense when thats all we needed. And now this year has been a rollercoaster, Elway coming back to lead the Broncos to a championship only this time in a suit, finally getting a defensive coach in Fox what most of us wanted for a long time, and Benching Orton for Tebow indeed the most exciting part of this ride for good and worse. And thanks to the hated Chargers and Phillip Rivers, who knocked out the Raiders to get us into the playoffs. Most people feel we dont deserve to be in the playoffs. The fact of the matter is that we won more games than our division rivals, and who would of thought beating the Miami Dolphins in Tebow’s first comeback is the reason why we were ahead of the Raiders. And the story continues this weekend to head to the playoffs to play the Steelers the ones who knocked us out in the AFC championship last time we were in the playoffs. They have the number one overall defense whick is what we didnt want to see cause of our struggling offense. So regardless of what happens I am very proud of team to get this far. I look forward to this game this weekend, the offseason, and next season. Man, I love football. And some Denver Broncos.

  22. risky305 says:

Hey i understand…I didnt like him too much here either, but we need somebody that can take full control of our offense..I know Fox has McCoy on a leash..hell let studesville call the plays…I believe we’re gonna win, call it the kool-Aid or watever…when we win Bay has to try my kool-aid that had me thinking we’d beat the Vikes 42-0 lol

  23. risky305 says:

Time for some revenge….Plummer you better be rooting for Tebow this time

  24. baylinorcrush says:

Actually you got your WOS induction with the Bills game!

  25. baylinorcrush says:

The Rose Bowl is living up to the hype right now.

  26. OrangeTsunami says:

    Good post socal

  27. thecladybunch says:

only way we can beat Pittsburgh is with passing, you cant run against them. Except if you catch them in the wrong zone blitz then we get some big plays. Brady Quinn is our best chance to have success in the passing game so you better be preparred to see him Sunday i promise you that.

  28. socalbigbroncofan says:

thanks tsunami, just how i feel. and i get bragging rights over all the charger and raider fans. espcially when u live over here. lol.

  29. OrangeTsunami says:

If you told me we’d be in the playoffs at the beginning of the season, I would have taken it.. Lol And with some good D, and a little success in the short pass game, who knows!

  30. risky305 says:

    We resigned Ryan Harris

  31. OrangeTsunami says:

    Now that’s a good move!

  32. OrangeTsunami says:

    Hope he’s in shape

  33. thecladybunch says:

Mcdaniels looks like lock for KC off cord position. Be interesting if we fired McCoy and hired Haley, that could be nice.

  34. baylinorcrush says:

    Haley is an arrogant #@%**

  35. thecladybunch says:

He is, but he has a good offensive mind, which would be helpful here.

  36. thecladybunch says:

If Harris back holds up he could be nice addition for next year

  37. baylinorcrush says:

Harris is just a band aid for this last game, you guys are freaking me out, LOL.

  38. baylinorcrush says:

Anyway, why have two different discussions on two different blogs, come to the forefront on the current blog and join the live fun.

  39. Bronco_Turtle says:

Feels Odd to be talking about a Playoff game… that the Broncos are in… THANKS TO TIM TEBOW!!!! ;o) lol… and the rest of the Bronco’s of course, the rest of the team that was 1-4 without said Tebow…

(I can’t get enough of this blog today… like an episode of the Twilight Zone)

8-8 vs 12-4 sounds bad… Hmmmm 7-9 vs 11-5 (and Defending Champs) Looks pretty Hopeless… But the Seahawks won…. ?!?

Seattle did it… Denver has a shot… a shot is all you can really ask for after a 1-4 start… 1 and 4…. Playoffs?

    Thank you DENVER!!!

  40. Bronco_Turtle says:

    *** OFFICIAL SCORE PREDICTION***

    Denver 23

    Pittsburgh 17

  41. thecladybunch says:

thats fine, Harris is signed thru 2012, and he could EASILY start next year. Once again IF healthy

  42. buck484 says:

I am not a big Tebow fanatic, just a Bronco fan. That said, If Tim ever had a big game I hope it’s against the Steelers this weekend. Just to shu that Dilfer up for a while. What an arogant ass.

  43. buck484 says:

    Prediction: Broncos 17 Steelers 13

Bay, did I make the wall of shame this past week?

  44. carnagebronc says:

1-4 without a healthy Doom….Bailey…still starting Knowshon..injuries everywhere….when the D got together things changed. Tebow played horribly over and over just for the D to save his behind. For the kicker to kick amazing fgs…..for any number of things….Barber running out and fumbling….so we are not in because of TEBOW but in spite of him. Like when people said so much about his leadership, but he wasnt voted captain….wasnt given the Williams award…fist pumping after a td isnt leadership…praying on the sideline rather than going over plays or warming the arm is not what u do in football….TEBOW sets this franchise back

  45. jfree24 says:

This is what the team worked hard for all season. That game lastnight made me sick to my stomach, so I know the team has to be feeling the same way and worse. They have nothing to lose but play lights out all four quarters. Trust me Champ is watching film from 2005.

  46. bullrush says:

This is the playoff’s I have seen all i want this year from Tebow let him have an off season and get better!!!ps If we want to win this game we need to get the ball downfield and score plenty of points and with Tebow thats not going to happen!!!! IF I SEE ANOTHER 3- OUT I’M GOING TO THROWUP!!!!

  47. baylinorcrush says:

buck, no WOS for you, CurtOU got that pleasure, LOL.

  48. FLBroncoGator says:

bullrush, if you don’t want to see any more 3 and outs then you better not watch any more games coached by Fox/McCoy because that’s all they know how to do. And for the haters…let’s not forget who called ALL of the plays to BEAT FOX in his ONLY SB appearance in 22 years. It was McD. I got your back risky. Funny how Orton wins one and loses 3 in a row and everybody still wants him to start and says Tebow sucks before he’s even had a chance. Then when TT wins 6 straight (breaking numerous records doing it with some miracle drives and beautiful passes) and takes us to the playoffs, he still sucks because he lost 3 due to horrible play calling, plain bad coaching, dropped passes, injuries, horrible officiating, and stupid penalties. TT sucks and can’t throw the ball lol. That’s why he’s broken so many records, been drafted in the first round, is our starting quarterback, and took us from 1-4 to the playoffs for the first time since 2005. Some people on this blog are seriously either on drugs or need to be. It really doesn’t matter. I was one of the few that said we were going to the playoffs in the very beginning and I’ll be one of the few laughing when it’s all said and done.

  49. ChargerHater0315 says:

I wanna se Denver win a playoff game so bad it hurts. Let’s just win a playoff game! 6-22 passing isn’t gonna cut it. Running game and defense are on track for success but 6-22 needs to be 15-22. I’m glad they’re in the playoffs and I’ll cheer for Tebow and hope he can lead us to a win but evn when he led us to wins he needed to be better! Just get better Tebow! Being a great leader or whatever is all fine and good but you can’t bank on him pulling a rabbit out of his hat every week! No it’snot all his fault the passing game sux, there have been plenty of dropped balls but the dude has to get better.

  50. FLBroncoGator says:

Charger, I’ll agree with that all day long.
