2012 Opponents Set

January 2nd, 2012 - 10:58am by Gray Caldwell

With the regular season over, the Broncos know which opponents they’ll be facing in next season’s slate.

Among the matchups is a rematch with this Sunday’s playoff opponent and two non-divisional rematches from the 2011 campaign.

Denver will take on the AFC North — Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Cleveland — and the NFC South — New Orleans, Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay — as part of the NFL’s rotation, in addition to its three AFC West opponents.

The remaining two games on the schedule are against the first-place teams in the other two AFC conferences — New England and Houston — since the Broncos won the AFC West.

Denver takes on seven teams that reached the playoffs this season — including four on the road.

The complete week-by-week schedule will be released by the league at a later date — typically in April.

  4. dad13xbroncsfan says:

Repost from previous page – I hate having the last post!

Fox said. “I anticipate we’ll play very well on Sunday.”

    and so do I!!!

  5. BeastFromEast92 says:

    Georgia 30
    Mich St 33

    3 OTs…GREAT GAME!!!

  6. BeastFromEast92 says:

I anticipate our Defense will,IDK how our Offense will play, hopefully very well too!

  7. dad13xbroncsfan says:

    Tebow is fine!

    Give him time!

He will be the starter in the fall!!! All you fickle, bi-polar, band-wagon abandoneers will be back on board soon enough. LOL :)

  8. BeastFromEast92 says:

Kolb just signed a big contract with Arizona and is injured,Cassel is overrated,Hell they are both overrated, imo.

  9. baylinorcrush says:

    Tebow is fine

    LMAO!

  10. Cdudbronc24 says:

We need to fire McCoy and bring in a new offensive coordinator who will help out Tebow more.

  11. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, great game BFE, finishes with a sack and a blocked FG, and Michigan state wins down 0-16 earlier!

  12. socalbigbroncofan says:

    lmao@bay

  13. socalbigbroncofan says:

cdud i agree i really dont care for mccoy’s play calling. he needs to change it up.

  14. baylinorcrush says:

BTW, Orton was hell bent on spoiling our season but thanks to the Riaders he couldn’t, haha.

  15. dad13xbroncsfan says:

The debate will continue to rage – but…Tebow is fine!!! will continue to be fine!!!

I don’t know football all that well but I do know greatness! I know character!

  16. baylinorcrush says:

I mispelled Raiders, they deserve it.

  17. socalbigbroncofan says:

bay, thats funny. i had a house full of chargers and raiders fans yesterday. (family of course) after our game i was rooting for the chargers, than thank them after they won. I told them Rivers was a Tebow fan. lol

  18. BeastFromEast92 says:

    bipolar?????

  19. baylinorcrush says:

I know, you’ve said that since you first came on and I love that candor of yours, and you even asked me to help you about the game but I’m starting to want to give up giving you any answers since they never seem to do any good, haha.

  20. Bronco_Turtle says:

:o ) Haters Hate! Fans Cheer… I still got Tebow’s back… He put us in the Playoffs!!!

    B-R-O-N-C-O-S BRONCOS BRONCOS BRONCOS!!!

VON TEBOW 2012!!! I’m ready already!!!

    FTS!!!

  21. baylinorcrush says:

Rose Bowl now, always brings back memories of when I was in that stadium for the Giants-Broncos SB.

  22. OrangeTsunami says:

The Manning idea wasn’t even my idea, but I ran with it.. But it does make sense and also follows a Tebow supporters train of thought by not drafting a QB, and build the defense.. If there’s better FA, I could be into that as well, but by not going young, you get a proven veteran (assuming he ever plays again) and you haven’t given up on Tebow.. That was my point, that it would be “crowd pleaser”.. Lol

  23. baylinorcrush says:

    Elway’s 1st of 5 SBs…

  24. thecladybunch says:

dont be surprised if Brady Quinn starts this coming week, if he doesnt and TT plays like that again in the first half he will be benched…kudos to the defense for stepping up altho Orton helped alot with his erant throws.

  25. BeastFromEast92 says:

That Big Tebow Express was easy to get off of,it was rolling down the tracks…WIDE OPEN,STEAM SPUING OUT THE STACK…….CRASHING THRU ANYTHING IN IT’S WAY…………………………………….then all of the sudden….sput…sput……sputter…cough….cough….then it came to a halt,so I just stepped off,and said to the Engineer….thanks for the ride, but this is my stop right here…LMAO!!!

But I’m still a Broncos Fan GodDamnit!!!!!!!!

One player isn’t bigger than the team, remember that!!!

That’s what everybody said when we traded Marshall!!!!

  26. OrangeTsunami says:

Not hating on Tebow BT, but I believe he needs some adversity, and I’m giving that a shot.. I got all he needs right here.. Lol

I want this game big time!!! I got people close to me who come from Steeler fans, plus the history

  27. BeastFromEast92 says:

And I got a 100.00 jersey hanging in the Damn closet!!!

  28. baylinorcrush says:

So to be better than Elway, Tebow would have to go to 5 SBs and win 3.

No wonder so many bloggers earlier this season when Orton was the starter said Elway was just scared about playing Tebow because he doesn’t want someone to out stage him.

  29. dad13xbroncsfan says:

I listen Bay. I do have an unfortunate stubborn streak. Has to do with my own character.

  30. baylinorcrush says:

    Noooo… LOL.

  31. BeastFromEast92 says:

Turtle….the Chargers put us in the playoffs,we choked!!!

  32. baylinorcrush says:

One year they kick us out, one year they get us in.

  33. thecladybunch says:

It’s obvious TT is afraid of throwing the ball , the pressure was huge and he didnt want to make any huge mistakes. MANY times he just didnt let the ball go, didnt trust himself to make the play.

  34. thecladybunch says:

you know its bad when the organization has Hats and T shirts with division champs on them all wrapped up and they didnt even give them to the players yesterday.

  35. S.D.Bronco30 says:

maybe Rivers was just trying to make Cutler mad, since he dislikes him so much. He destroyed it for Cutler and helped Tebow out. It was like a big middle finger to Cutler!!

  36. BeastFromEast92 says:

I think Tebow gets one chance to start next year, and it depends on how he plays against the Steelers.

He better have a good game, and I don’t see it happening against their Defense, sorry folks!

  37. baylinorcrush says:

But I thought Fox said they were treating that game as a playoff game, don’t you take chances in playoff games when you’re losing?

  38. BeastFromEast92 says:

WTF is he gonna treat a real playoff game like?

  39. baylinorcrush says:

Hoping that Tebow all of a sudden plays well against a D like the Steelers after a three game losing streak is definitely nothing but orange kool aid overdose, LOL.

  40. baylinorcrush says:

    Yeah.

Fox, this one is a real playoff game.

  41. baylinorcrush says:

And so far we have 3 bloggers overdosing with a Bronco win prediction, while already 5 are not buying it anymore, for this game anyway.

  42. baylinorcrush says:

According to popular opinion, that’s going to make for a lot of Haters, LOL.

  43. raidrhadr says:

I don’t think there will be any Brady Quinn sightings on Sunday. I do think that we will see a very different passing attack though to complement a very good rushing attack. Don’t know how good that will be vs the steelers but…

The passing game…obviously the chiefs saw that having man coverage with one high (safety) all game could be successful against our 1,2 and 3 WR sets and it will be against us unless…we start putting 4 and 5 widouts creating mismatches and opening up running lanes for Tebow. I expect that to happen vs the steelers. I also expect to (somehow) see the ball coming out of Tebow’s hands a little quicker. The Steelers will obviously blitz on any occasion so the latter MUST happen. We just don’t have the WRs with enough speed to beat even decent man coverage.

I do not think that our passing woes can be placed on TTs shoulders alone. He must be coached up and given opportunities to shine.

Defense…we must create opportunities to create a pass rush. Big Ben, while effective even when injured, cannot move well in the pocket. Designing ways to get quick pressure straight up the middle is of dire importance. Changing alignments and causing confusion is paramount.

I still say we have seen the best of our Broncos this year already and unfortunately I think we will get beat pretty badly. Hope I’m wrong…

    Steelers 34
    Broncos 10

  44. OrangeTsunami says:

Trust me, I want Tebow to be great stating next we and to go on a run in the playoffs (which he is capable of doing hopefully), but I’m a Bronco fan, and a Tebow band wagon fan (or any other QB – it goes with position). Even Sam Bradford is beginning to be questioned, it’s NOTHING against Tebow

I could see us going on a nice a little run and shutting all the Tebow talk up once again, let’s do it! :)

  45. BeastFromEast92 says:

All I wanted was to see Tebow get a fair shake,he had no off season, but got a shot to play 11 games,he should’ve gotten better,Hell we played 2 mediocre Defenses outta the last 3 games and he looked God awful in all 3 last games.

  46. MarshMelo15 says:

Tebow is still a very young QB. With no offseason last year he really couldn’t get the time put in with our organization to really improve that much. Now that there will be an offseason this year Tebow will have a long time to improve before next year. He deserves at least one more year to see what he can do. If he doesn’t work out then we could grab Matt Barkley. Just saying, he is young and ALL young QB’s struggle. Give him time.

With that said….. I HATE PITTSBURGH!!
I hope the Broncos go out there and give’em hell!!

Bring the Pressure on Big Ben Rapelessburger!!!

  47. OrangeTsunami says:

    week

  48. broncos20 says:

Hei Im glad we made the playoffs. Last year we were playing just to make it to the playoffs =:D

DEFENSE is playing outstanding thanks to Champ & CO. Next week will be a tougher one.
    CHamp on Wallace.
Doom and Von vs (BIG) Ben.
Our banged up OL vs Harrison and Woodley????

    Offense must be KEY!!!

  49. BeastFromEast92 says:

Bradford had a great Rookie season…then McD took over as OC and ruined him,I thought he was an offensive genius,Brady made McD look good!!

  50. risky305 says:

But if we didnt beat the chargers we wouldnt be in either…we are in the playoffs, stop acting like spoiled brats..yes im excited about being in the playoffs going off a 3 game losing streak…but i rather be in the playoffs on a losing streak than not at all… We earned our playoffs spot..doesnt matter if we backed in..we still earned it..U want a QB other than TT fine, but at least wait till our season is ended..we still have another game..how about focusing on ways we can win the game, instead of ways we can get rid of TT…6 long years and this is how us fans show love for our team, by criticizing the play of the QB..wat are we..Raiders fans now…TT can add playoffs to his 2nd season resume with the 1-4 Broncos..Cutler didnt get us here n Orton failed and getting us there and knocking us out of the playoffs. 6 LONG YEARS…6 I REPEAT 6 LONG YEARS…So what if we dnt have the best QB, he’s starting our first playoff game in 6 years and we have nothing better to do than to worry about the past…the way i see it we’re 0-0 and Tebow gets the start if he takes us to the next round great, if we lose in the first round then o well atleast we made it farther than anyones expectations..
