2012 Opponents Set

January 2nd, 2012 - 10:58am by Gray Caldwell

With the regular season over, the Broncos know which opponents they’ll be facing in next season’s slate.

Among the matchups is a rematch with this Sunday’s playoff opponent and two non-divisional rematches from the 2011 campaign.

Denver will take on the AFC North — Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Cleveland — and the NFC South — New Orleans, Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay — as part of the NFL’s rotation, in addition to its three AFC West opponents.

The remaining two games on the schedule are against the first-place teams in the other two AFC conferences — New England and Houston — since the Broncos won the AFC West.

Denver takes on seven teams that reached the playoffs this season — including four on the road.

The complete week-by-week schedule will be released by the league at a later date — typically in April.

This week’s offensive play calling reminded me of Shanahan’s last year in Denver. Aggressive play calling is a must in the NFL (at times). We didn’t give Tebow a chance in the first 3 quarters. I don’t want to see 4 interceptions but he will become a better passer with some risk.

Does anyone know why we are hosting Tampa Bay and New Orleans again this year. I want to go to a Broncos game in these cities so bad :) We won’t go now till 2016?

Armadillo-Orton:Wow, you is the biggest Tebow mark ever, first of all if a real quarterback had this receiving core in Denver the passing game can succeed, second Eddie Royal is a good receiver it’s just Tim Tebow just can’t throw period, any fan with a brain can see that.
If Brady Quinn was playing that game against Kansas City, he would’ve drive the team down the field for a game winning touchdown. Since it was Tim Tebow, Kansas City corners played bump and run coverage throughout the whole game, plus the linebackers were keeping him in the pocket daring Tim to beat them passing which he can’t do. And it’ll be the same thing when Pittsburgh comes to town. When Kyle Orton struggles you blame Kyle Orton, but when Tim Tebow struggles you blame the coaches, it’s hypocrisy at it’s finest.
