2012 NFL Draft Day Two Coverage

April 27th, 2012 - 5:00pm by Gray Caldwell

The second day of the 2012 NFL Draft is just about underway. The Broncos currently hold two picks in the second round — No. 36 and No. 57 overall — and one pick in the third — No. 87 overall.

This will be different than yesterday’s first-round live blog format, and more like our gameday live blogs.

While we won’t live blog each pick, this blog will essentially serve as a central location for all of our coverage of today’s picks — including top stories on the player, blogs from each player’s conference call with the media, photos, audio, video and more — and a hub for all of your comments this evening.

The St. Louis Rams are on the clock first with the 33rd overall pick — the Broncos are coming up shortly.

5:12 p.m. MDT: Looks like Baltimore’s pick is in, which means the Broncos are now on the clock at pick No. 36.

7:49 p.m. MDT: Updating the blog — the Broncos traded the No. 87 overall pick in the third round and the No. 120 overall pick in the fourth round to jump up to pick No. 67 and take San Diego State running back Ronnie Hillman. Links to come.

HILLMAN BRINGS ‘INSTANT OFFENSE’ TO BRONCOS: After trading for the No. 67 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Broncos selected San Diego State running back Ronnie Hillman. Read more here.

8:46 p.m. MDT: That will do it for today’s live blog. Head Coach John Fox is set to talk to the media right at the conclusion of the third round, which is just a few picks away.

Tomorrow brings rounds four through seven of the 2012 NFL Draft — the third and final day of the event. Denver’s remaining picks are as follows:
Round 4, Pick 6 (101)
(From Jaguars through Buccaneers)
Round 4, Pick 13 (108)
(From Jets)
Round 5, Pick 2 (137)
(From Rams)
Round 6, Pick 18 (188)
(From Jets)

We’ll have coverage of Coach Fox’s press conference shortly on the front of DenverBroncos.com. In the mean time, you can visit our draft page for a compilation of all of our coverage so far.

Thanks for sticking with us, and see you tomorrow.

I like Brock the more and more I think about it. He put up good numbers without anything around him where Others had a lot.Didnt have much to work with… 4 year under Manning and he actually has talent unlike Sorgi and Painter

I want Marvin McNutt in the 4th round. GET HIM!

  24. SWBronco says:

We should get Lavasier Tuinei in UFA. Haha, I know you guys probably don’t know him, but I really liked him at Oregon
