On Thursday, the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft kicks off. But before the television broadcast even begins, Broncos fans can start the party early.
At 5:30 p.m. MDT this Thursday, April 26, the 2012 Broncos Draft Party gets started at The Tavern Downtown.
Fans have the opportunity to meet Broncos players, alumni and cheerleaders while watching the first round of the NFL Draft — in which the Broncos hold pick No. 25.
Eric Decker, Demaryius Thomas, Quinton Carter, Joel Dreessen, Tom Nalen, Billy Thompson, Randy Gradishar and Vance Johnson are among the Broncos scheduled to appear.
There are prizes available, including the chance to meet the Broncos’ first pick, autographed items, draft VIP experiences and game tickets.
In addition, Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway will address the draft party live minutes after the Broncos make their first selection.
There will be drink specials, and the party is free and open to the public.
On the same night at 5 p.m., long snapper Lonie Paxton is holding a night of bowling to help raise money for his Active Force Foundation.
Approximately 20 Broncos are expected to be at the party — held at Celebrity Lanes on Arapahoe Road in Centennial, Colo. — to bowl with fans and sponsors of the event.
Active Force Foundation provides opportunities for physically challenged individuals to engage in a healthy lifestyle through sports experience and education.

I’ll be having my own party as well BFE, while there’s not a whole slew of Broncos fans here either (mostly Vikings or Packers) I’m sure I could still scrounge up an apartment full of folks to enjoy the evening. Too bad it’s 10 hours from home and there’s work to do on Friday…
I am sooo ready baby. I will get updates from the wife and watch as much as I can. Three starters would be nice!! All will learn to be lean mean fadier hater fighting machines!!! LOL

I was exited for last years draft but following this website and conversing with people about the draft i know alot more this year so it makes this years draft a little better for me. Everyone is so knowledged and i never thought that people followed it so closely.
Thanks Everyone, for making me fall into the draft, I might have to follow the college ball next season so i can have some worthwhile input.
Wishing I lived in Denver too fellows because believe me when I say I would be there with bells on lol. Can’t wait man. This is even more exciting that last year because so many people pick before us that the anticipation will be through the roof, people will drop, people will be snagged before our pick. There will be so many twists and turns. Can’t wait.
Strand, Bro if they take Martin at 25 you know ill be estatic Bro. In my Mock I had him at the top of my 2nd round. Thats just wishful thinking. If they see it fitting to take him at 25, You know Ill be estatic. Much like Paea last year, Doug Martin is my guy this year. Heres hoping it ends better than it did with Paea last year lol

I think they’re going to take a RB, Doug Martin. I say they then get a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round… I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t take a DT.
wow.. I would love to be there. Not only do i NOT live in Denver, I also WORK during the draft. Oh, and all these primetime games this year…. gonna be WORKING as well. Looks like I’ll be getting a lot of texts this year for the games. : (
