Anytime the Broncos are on the field two times in a day, the second session is strictly a walkthrough with an extremely brief shooting period. For that reason, we most likely won’t have many photos for the P.M. blogs — if any.
But below are some quick hits from Monday’s evening practice.
Newcomers Derrick Harvey (No. 95), Dante Rosario (No. 49) and Daniel Fells (No. 86) hit the practice field at Dove Valley for the first time, watching the walkthrough from the sidelines.
Another new Bronco, David Anderson (No. 89), stood beside Brady Quinn during the first half of practice looking over the script of the session. Offensive Coordinator Mike McCoy joined their huddle a few times to interject.
D.J. Williams participated in the walkthrough after sitting out the morning session.
Von Miller wore his trademark glasses throughout the practice and a Broncos hat with the bill bent back up toward the sky. As I said, shooting period is limited so we didn’t get a shot of it — we’ll try to find it next time. Looks like it took a lot of work to bend it like that.
If Miller wearing glasses during practice didn’t emphasize the lightness of the walkthrough, maybe this will. After jogging through a play, Brandon Lloyd noticed a rabbit on the field and proceeded to bend down and try to coax it towards him. It didn’t work. The rabbit ran away and Lloyd ran back to the huddle to hear the next play call.
When he wasn’t on the field, Rahim Moore was almost always taking a knee beside Brian Dawkins, listening intently to the 16-year veteran.

The players have a day off Tuesday, but will be back on the field Wednesday afternoon at 2:20 in a session open to the public. Both McCoy and Defensive Coordinator Dennis Allen spoke to the media after practice, and we’ll have more on what they had to say on DenverBroncos.com shortly.

Or what about Leron McClain? If we are using a full back lets get a good one. I can’t see Spencer Larsen limping through another season (as much as I like the guy).
In the past Fox has usually carried three FBs on his squads.
007,a lot of us have been wanting McClain,I think we are waiting til Thursday till the dead money is taken off,I think,to sign some more known players in FA!
I sure hope your man Fox comes through on defense Bay, there will be some unhappy fans if we get gutted up the middle again this season.
Franklin, Aubrayo is still out there as well. Another good move from NT to DT.
Coaching is definitely the answer here for our long term success. Coaching up quality players will allow us a surplus of talent to trade and build ourselves through the draft.
You were out playing in your boat when I was trying to provoke rational thought here yesterday. Apparently, after I found other things to do, you stated you had a man crush on Tebow. I agree, enough said on the topic, at least until my steroids kick in . LOL
You’re right, that’s probably why things have died off considerably with FA signings all over the league, in fact it has basically come to a standstill, every team is waiting for Thursday when their dead moneys will come of the cap, makes some kind of sense even so I always said we could easily reach agreements with the players we covet now and sign them Thursday, that way we might get who we really want for a change, so I don’t know, the NFL business is often way beyong my business background experiences, does make much sense to me very often, like in this instance. I mean every team has had agreements with players well ahead of signing them, I don’t see what’s stopping us from doing same, makes me think other things or people in the organization are interfering with us signing who we really need…
Man crush on Tebow, me, LMAO!
And it’s my boy Willis, not my man Fox, haha.
Hey guys, do not know if anyone has posted this up yet or not but there is a video with Julius, Royal, and Moreno from the DP. Just thought I would update you guys!!

Baylin, you mentioned those last 3 games the players rallied around Tebow. Could it have something to do with the firing of a certain figurehead as well? Or was that not part of the equation?
As for that Bears Superbowl run, they rode the back of that Defense and it’s ability to create turnovers and Defensive TDs (with a lotta Hester). Kinda like the Saints when they won it all! Interesting!!!! Dennis Allen ring a bell?!
News of Ryan Harris is flat out surprising. Figured he was as good as gone.
post above my last; beyond my business background experiences, doesn’t make much sense to me very often,
Was too confusing to leave like that.
Drew Brees, rings a bell too? LOL.
Funny, this makes us look like we are in good shape at QB:
With Peyton Manning on PUP, the four QBs taking snaps in Colts camp are Dan Orlovsky, Nate Davis, Mike Hartline and Curtis Painter.
LMAO, hopefully for the Colts Manning comes back sooner than later…..
bay,Manning is reportedly out the entire preseason, but with the season starting in like 5 weeks,he better hurry up and heal from that neck surgery,Painter is about as bad as Quinn!
What is the deal with FOOTBALL # (numbers)??? I wonder why for instance Von Miller did not keep #40??? I remember back when Reggie Bush came into the league that he had to loose the 5 and take 25, and I know there are some rule like that, but does anyone know those #RULES??? I think LB’s have to be 50 or above and so on and so forth, but I’m not really sure about all those details? And WR’s are usually in the 80′s and between 10-20, but are there definate number RULES and are there exceptions to the RULE???
For intance I seem to Remeber Reggie Bush could have reclained the #5 after something like three years in the league and paying a fine or due to make that happen???
Am I up in the night or does anyone recall such things about FOOTBALL NUMBERS???
GO BRONCOS!!!
p.s. And yes I understand why Von Miller chose #58 – just not sure why he could not have kept his college number???
Interesting Bay about the Broncos not coming to agreements on FA,and signing them once the dead money is took off.I think they might also be waiting on the waiver wire, since we have 2nd pick on the released players,we may have a shot at getting some talented players, the Panthers have 1st choice, but with all those big contracts they’ve been handing out, hard to believe they can hurt us too bad!
new blog.
Yeah BFE, I posted that here first the other day about us having 2nd pick at the waiver wire but you just get to pick the crumbs from each team, not the guys you really want, that was my point, someone is holding us back feels like.

True…
Linebackers cannot wear #40. They have to wear numbers 50-59 I believe.
Anyone here anything about a three team trade (eagles & Redskins) for Orton?
Or is this just a rumor with nothing Factual to base it on?
I have spent everyday reading these blogs and have only said something a couple times. I have read Tebow’s book and have watched him play since he was a freshman behind Chris Leek or (Leak) and I know that he learns best from doing not watching. I also noticed that Orton is not and never has been willing to work with him to help him learn and he did pout on the bench when Tebow did start. I have noticed that Orton has NO passion or energy it’s like he goes through the motions and thats it. He knows his contract is up in a year so why care? Most rookie quarterbacks make mistakes and the teams don’t give up on them if that was the case then Payton Manning would not be with the Colts today with all the interceptions he threw the first year he started. Why not give Tebow a shot and all he will do is improve. Orton may be good in practice but when it’s game time he folds and then the team loses their passion too. I don’t know but I just think you gain experience from doing instead of watching. I have watched the final 3 games of last season a few times and the team and the fans were so excited and tried so hard. It was a new passion that was not seen previously.
New to the website. But would like to let everyone know we picked up ty Warren from the patriots. Excited for the new football year. The team looks like Its grown a lot in the past week alone.
I don’t think the broncos will have much of a running game with the running backs that they have. With Orton at QB he will be good between the 20′s & fold &or panick when in the red zone, just like last year. So we should start Tebow & try to get a good RB thru F/A, then maybe Orton with have his contract restructured so he can be traded since he does’nt want to be a back-up.
