2010 Pro Bowl: Game Blog

January 31st, 2010 - 2:54pm by Gray Caldwell

Here we are at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Fla., and the 2010 Pro Bowl is just a few hours away. It has been a fun week of practice leading up to the actual game, and now the five Broncos participating in the all-star contest will look to lead the AFC to a W.

This blog will be a mix of the pregame blogs you’re used to seeing on gamedays on DenverBroncos.com and our typical live game blogs. The plan is to run down to the field to snap a few pregame photos before the contest, then as the game progresses, give you updates after big plays, scores and any contributions from the five Broncos.

Rather than use the typical live blog format, I’m just going to use the regular blog so I can include photos. In other words, just refresh every now and then for any updates to the post.

Right now, at 4:54 EST, there are no players on the field, and the gates haven’t opened yet, so there aren’t any fans in the stands, either. From where I sit, the left end zone is painted red for the AFC, and the right is blue for the NFC. I’m going to go get a feel for the best way to get down to the field, so I’ll be back in a while with some pregame snapshots. Stay tuned.

7:00 p.m. EST: Just got back up from the field — it’s a little different schedule for the Pro Bowl, and guys don’t come out of the tunnel until later. But I’ll crop some photos and put them up as soon as possible. At the moment, some band I’ve never heard of is playing. To be honest, they didn’t even announce the name of the band, so I have no clue who it is. But they keep singing “Here comes trouble again.” If anybody knows who sings that…let me know in the comments.

7:27 p.m. EST: Turns out the name of the band is “Honor Society,” and they are singing the National Anthem. Here are a few pictures of the Broncos in their all-star garb, minutes away from kickoff.

7:31 p.m. EST: It’s time for the coin toss — and Brian Dawkins was one of the captains who trotted out to midfield for the AFC. The AFC will receive — and Joshua Cribbs is back deep to field the kickoff to begin the game. From here on out I’ll keep you up to date with any big plays, and of course any contributions made by the five Broncos in the game — Champ Bailey, Ryan Clady, Dawkins, Elvis Dumervil and Brandon Marshall. Just refresh your brower occasionally for updates.

AFC 7, NFC 0: The AFC strikes first on a play with Marshall in at wide receiver on the left side of the field. Matt Schaub looked to his right, however, connecting with his Texans teammate Andre Johnson for a 33-yard touchdown with 11:53 remaining in the first quarter.

AFC 14, NFC 3: After an NFC field goal, Brandon Marshall gets involved, hauling in a 23-yard touchdown pass from Schaub. He hauled in the pass at about the 4-yard line, pulling his defender into the end zone. He’s being congratulated by Chad Ochocinco on the sideline right now.

Now the kickoff unit is on the field, and it includes both Bailey and Dawkins. Dawkins is dancing as Miami’s Dan Carpenter prepares to kick.

1st Quarter, 6:59: This crowd wants action — Carpenter’s kick went five yards deep into the end zone and was downed for a touchback, which was met with boos from the Sun Life Stadium crowd.

1st Quarter, 5:38: Aaron Rodgers bought all the time in the world in the backfield, but when he let loose a pass intended for Adrian Peterson, Dumervil was right there with him to break up the pass.

AFC 14, NFC 10 The Pro Bowl is supposed to be all about offense, as evidenced by Mario Williams letting up with a sack of Aaron Rodgers in his reach early in the game. And it isn’t disappointing thus far — Steve Smith just caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers with Bailey in coverage.

2nd Quarter, 13:25: For the past couple drives, there haven’t been any Broncos in the game as players rotate in and out. Now Bailey is in as the NFC is threatening at the 6-yard line. He made a tackle earlier in the drive to force a third down. And on a 3rd-and-3 at the 7-yard line, Dumervil has entered the lineup.

NFC 17, AFC 14 The NFC convered that third down for a score on a screen pass to DeSean Jackson. Now the AFC kickoff return unit is on the field, and Dumervil is in to help block for Cribbs — not a sight you’d typically see on Sundays throughout the season.

2nd Quarter, 9:37: The crowd is doing “The Wave” as the AFC is driving down the field. Jets center Nick Mangold, who is on the sideline next to Clady, is doing his part when the cheer gets to his section.

AFC 17, NFC 17 We’re all knotted up after a 30-yard Dan Carpenter field goal.

All-Decade Update: Just saw that Ty Law has also been named to the All-Decade Team alongside Bailey and Dawkins. Congratulations to him.

2nd Quarter, 4:41: All three Broncos defenders are in the game — Bailey, Dawkins and Dumervil — with the NFC at its own 42-yard line. It’s third-and-10 after a near-interception by Yeremiah Bell and an incompletion by Donovan McNabb. On the ensuing play, Dawkins makes the tackle on a scrambling McNabb — but it’s good for a first down.

2nd Quarter, 3:32: An exciting turn of events: LaMarr Woodley just returned an interception for a touchdown, but a 12-men-on-the-field penalty on the defense brought it back. A facemask by Vernon Davis right before the touchdown nullified the defense’s penalty, meaning the down would be repeated.

BRONCOS QUOTES: Just got some quotes in the press box from two of the Denver Pro Bowlers, Marshall and Dawkins.

First, Marshall on his first Pro Bowl touchdown catch:
“That was my first touchdown catch because last year I dropped Peyton Manning’s touchdown and he gave me a hard stare. It feels good to get my first touchdown. My aunt is here, she’s probably my biggest fan and every time I score a touchdown she asks for the ball. I’m going to get that ball to her.”

Marshall, on playing back in his home state:
“It feels great. We’ve got a lot of people down here celebrating this wonderful event with me, and we are going to enjoy it and enjoy this game.”

Dawkins, on his first Pro Bowl as a member of the AFC:
“Well, obviously it’s a whole bunch of new faces fo rme. It’s guys I haven’t played with over the years, so I’m building some new acquaintances over here on the AFC side. It was a little strange at first during our initial meeting, but there are great guys on this side also.”

Dawkins, on the game being an offensive battle:
“We’ve got to make sure when they do have drives down the field that we keep them kicking field goals. We can’t give up the big balls and we’ll see if we can pull this thing out.”

2nd Quarter, 1:52: After a few drives on the sidelines, Clady is back in the game at right tackle. If you missed that development, here’s a story on why he’s manning the right side. Let’s see if the AFC decides to try to drive down the field before halftime. My guess? Absolutely.

2nd Quarter, 0:54: David Garrard nearly connected with Vincent Jackson for a touchdown on first down, but the pass fell incomplete. After an incompletion on second down and a short scramble by Garrard on third down, the AFC went for it on fourth down — but Garrard’s pass fell incomplete. Now the NFC take over at its own 42-yard line, and we’ll see if they in turn decide to shoot for a score before the half.

HALFTIME: The first half comes to a close after a 65-yard Cribbs punt return lead to a missed Dan Carpenter field goal attempt. The score remains tied at 17. In the meantime, here are a few pictures from the first half of action, courtesy of AP Images.

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY: Two plays into the second half, Donovan McNabb connected with his Philadelphia teammate, DeSean Jackson, for a 58-yard touchdown. But two plays into the AFC’s ensuing drive, Garrard connected with Vincent ackson for a 48-yard touchdown. Quite the offensive shootout, as the score is tied at 24 just 1:41 into the second half.

3rd Quarter, 13:13: One of the most interesting chains of events in the game was started by a Bronco. Dawkins intercepted a pass from his former teammate, Donovan McNabb, and looked as if he would be tackled. But he lateraled the ball to Bailey, who sprinted down the sideline. Just as Bailey was about to get stopped, he lateraled the ball to Darrelle Revis. Then when Revis fell to the ground, he tossed the ball over the back of his head — technically a fumble — and it was finally recovered by Dawkins.

AFC 31, NFC 24 The interception/fumble recovery on the same play by Dawkins eventually resulted in a Maurice Jones-Drew touchdown to put the AFC ahead by a touchdown.

AFC 34, NFC 24 Dan Carpenter knocks home a 26-yard field goal to extend the AFC lead after a drive that saw Clady in at right tackle. And on the ensuing kickoff, Marshall is back in the game, acting as a gunner on the near sideline. He doesn’t get the chance to make a special teams tackle, however, as the kick is downed in the end zone for a touchback.

AFC 31, NFC 31 A 7-yard touchdown run by Carolina’s DeAngelo Williams cuts into the AFC lead. Now the kickoff return unit is in, and it once again includes Dumervil as a blocker.

4th Quarter, 13:54: Vince Young just threw an interception to Asante Samuel, who caught it inside the 5-yard line. He returned it 35 yards, but went down at the feet of Clady, who was waiting to make sure the cornerback didn’t get any farther.

4th Quarter, 12:43: Bailey just sniffed out a bubble screen to Roddy White and brought him down in the backfield for a loss of three, forcing a third-and-13. On the next play, Tony Romo was sacked by Houston’s Mario Williams, and the NFC had to settle for a David Akers field goal — good from 39 yards out to tie the game at 34.

UPDATE: I’ve just been alerted that with seven minutes left in the game, we’re allowed to head down to the field so that we’re ready to snag postgame interviews. That’s what I’ll be doing, so the blog will be cut a little short before the final result is decided. I apologize for that, but it will hopefully be worth it when we get GOLDEN quotes from our guys on the field. Thanks for sticking with the blog tonight — it’s been an entertaining night from South Florida so far. As I’m finishing up this update, the AFC is about to go for it on fourth-and-2 — and Schaub, who is back in the game, connects with his Texans teammate Andre Johnson once again to keep the drive alive at the NFC 44.

Well, I’m headed down to the field with the AFC driving in the NFC red zone. We will post a story and Broncos TV coverage later this evening from South Florida.

-Gray Caldwell, DenverBroncos.com

UPDATE: Sorry for the delay in posts. We made it back to the hotel to finish up our stories after snagging interviews on the field and in the locker room. As you probably know by now, the AFC came away with a 41-34 victory after a defensive stand — an interception, to be exact — helped seal the game.

You can check out our top story from the Pro Bowl here.

Only the media has made all this Marshall trade talk. The media has a tendency to blow things out of proportion. Before everyone brings up the Cutler thing, Cutler didn’t want to be here to begin with, otherwise he’d of picked up the phone when Mr. B was calling. Marshall wants to remain a Bronco, he wants to play on this team. I don’t know what’s going to happen but I can sure bet, that if Mr. B starts calling Marshall, he’ll pick up the phone and listen to what he has to say. That’s where I think everyone is getting carried away, don’t buy into the media too much. Everyone is talkin’ about how McD will throw a cruveball this offseason, maybe that curveball is re-signing Marshall, has anyone thought about that?

  2. sndvl says:

Brian, you dont think Marshall’s benching for the finale had anything to do with the trade talk starting in the first place? With McD, it is more likely to be a screwball, instead of the curve…lmao!
Who remembers during the season, when the Rockies were in the playoffs, and Marshall gave his post game interview clad in Rockies gear? That there told me he likes Denver. Wants to be a part of the city/ team.
So if its a win/win for Marshall, does that mean its a lose/lose for McD!?! You reap what you sow! And I particularly cant say i feel bad for him.
It looks like we have come to an impasse with McD. Some of us dont want him, yet we are stuck with him. So all the calls for his ouster will fall on deaf ears!
At this point, I just hope we are in damage control and boy genius doesnt ruin this franchise.
BTW- resign Marshall, resign Doom, and please for the love of 3-4 defense, sign a nose tackle. GO BRONCOS 2K10!!!!!!!!!!

  3. brian_schneider says:

Have you guys been writing you letters to Pat and Josh? I have, I’ve been sending them letters on ideas on how to run the franchise and some different ideas on schemes and plays. I’ve also been saying that we need to re-sign our players, including Marshall.

  4. BeastFromEast92 says:

sndvl, I agree 100%, we need to sign Marshall, like him or not,he’s the best player we have on offense. We definately need to keep our best players, what good is signing free agents if we can’t keep the good players we have.We gotta sign DOOM too,and quickly.

  5. BeastFromEast92 says:

schneider, that sounds like a good idea to me.

  6. baylinorcrush says:

Junk mail, LOL. No offense, brian, couldn’t resist, you are probably jiving us saying that anyway.

  7. BeastFromEast92 says:

Maybe Mr B will step in and make McD sign Marshall to a long term contract.Hope he don’t ruin a great franchise.

  8. baylinorcrush says:

BFE92, there is nothing to ruin now from where I’m standing, 32-32 record in the last 4 years and the last winning season 4 years ago with a misly 9-7. It seems to me that all we can stand to do is regain the pride of the franchise, that pride hasn’t been around for a while now. I embrace more change at this point, I don’t like where we are at with what we got.

  9. Orange_Crusher says:

I think it’s BS tha marshall pulled himself out of the last game of the season but has no problems playing in the pro bowl. It all reaks of attitude problems to me. imo

  10. milelow says:

Rumore has that Elvis dumervil and Brandon Marshall are going to be traded.Espn last year said Jay Cutler was going to be traded and everyone thought it wasn’t true.Well I think Broncos should keep them both but if they have to get rid of one it should be Doom ya he is okay at sacking the qb.Next year they will game plan for him and shut him down.DUMERVIL IS OVER RATED MARSHALL STAYS AND DUMERVIL GOES.Broncos will get rid of Dumervil not Brandon Marshall mark my words.

  11. milelow says:

Dumervil can’t stop the run,and he only got 17 sacks this year becuas the pisition he played was new.No that every team knows now and will stop him.He got shut ot most of the time this year.those sack were only agiants team that wernt that good except the Cowboys.
Brandon Marshall will be the best wr. in the nfl. He’s a beast and you cant stop him.Marshall needs a good qb.Kyle Orton is not the answer.I cant belive that Broncos are pondering the tought of getting rid of Players that are probowlers, and not getting rid of the player’s they need to.Such as Marcus thomas,Kyle Orten,Cris Simms,Correll Buckhalter,Brandon Stokley,Ryen McBean,Casey wiegmann,Tony Scheffler truoble maker,Jirvis Moss,Lamont Jordan,Derrall Reed,Ronald Feilds,Brandon Lloyd, those are all the player that the broncos need to get rid of.

  12. brian_schneider says:

First of all Dumervil isn’t over rated. He got 17 sacks because he worked his butt off trying to get to the QB, not because the position he played was new. That comment is just ignorant, usually players that move to a different postion don’t make the adjustment as well as he did. Also he used to get to the QB even when he was at the DE spot so his sacks weren’t just because of the position. The position may have lended more opportunties for sacks. As far as game planning for him, yeah teams will shut him down, just like they do to Freeney, Allen, Harrison, and every other posistion. No they can game plan all they want and I’m sure he’ll still make plays just as other good players do.

  13. baylinorcrush says:

Bailey says he thinks Doom is outstanding, I am sure not going to base my opinion of Doom on the national enquire blogger, LOL.

  14. TheRoyalBeast says:

    milelow,

Im really trying here to NOT stop reading your post but u aint making it easy. Dumerville is not overated…he sacks mostly on 3rd down, gets defense off the field and lets not forget forces fumbles and turnovers…Resign them both….

I really wish fans would stop buying into the media and repeating every rumor they had…might be true but until its a done deal its pointless…just my opinion tho

    Baylin,

lol, Your speach didnt fall on deaf ears. To the brandon marshall faithful, we always believe he wanted to stay here, for him to say it adds credibility to our argument. Like i said, could be hollow words (which i dont think they are) but im just glad it was said. And if it was planned, it was well done lol….Its always been a win win for Marshall, he just wants to get payed what he is worth.

    Orange_Crusher

He said he may not be able to go, and McD deactivated him. It was a pulled hamstring that takes like 3-4 weeks to heal….its been like a month since the incident. its not like it was cut or anything. Just didnt have explosion of the line back then….from what i hear. my opinion once more

    Brian schiender,

nice that u are sending those mails (if u are) but McD is hard headed, even if u give him a good idea…he wont take it…cuz it wasnt his good idea lol.

  15. baylinorcrush says:

OC, you are going to love this point made by Patrick Saunders at the DP about why T.D. deserves a spot in the HOF, I have to say that using his post season stats is the best way I have seen making the argument so far, here it is:

But it’s Davis’ postseason resume that should make him a lock for the Hall of Fame. T.D. is arguably the best playoff running back in NFL history. In eight career playoff games he ran for 1,140 yards rushing on 204 carries and 12 touchdowns, leading the Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl titles.

During his postseason career, Davis averaged an incredible 143 rushing yards per game. Projected over a full NFL season, Davis’ numbers would be: 408 carries, 2,280 yards (5.59 average) and 24 touchdowns.

On the biggest stage, T.D. stole the show.

  16. baylinorcrush says:

    The good old days…..

  17. broncofanlvnm says:

Marshall is the king of sending mixed messages. If he truly wants to stay in Denver and has all along then why did he act the way he did before the season started by not showing up prior to mandatory practices, and then not participating in them which lead to his suspension. The way I understand it, an MRI was done on his hamstring and it showed it to be perfectly healthy. An MRI will show up even a pulled /inflamed muscle by the way. Anyway, the way I see it Marshall had already given up on the fact that the team would not make the playoffs and had decided that he would save himself for the Pro Bowl and not risk injury in the last game against the Chiefs and that is why he claimed to have a “pulled” hamstring. And now he says he wants to finish his career in Denver? It is like Baylinorcrush said, he only said that as a business move. Can’t you see through his BS?

  18. codybleedsorangeandblue says:

    milelow,

Do you even know anything about football? Dumervil is not overrated. I would not call the league leader in sacks overrated. Besides, even if they do create schemes to block him next year, that just opens up a whole for someone else. I agree with you that some of those players we do need to get rid of, but who is this Jirvis Moss that you speak of? and why is it that you cant spell Orton’s name right to save your life? I mean you did once but then spelled it wrong in the next sentence. Why also is it that you cannot seem to properly capitalize peoples names? If you do the first name do the last name!!! I lose brain cells everytime I read one of your posts. Quit using mommy and daddy’s computer and actually get an education. Or if you are going to prance around posting things on blogs you know nothing about, then at least type into Word and use spell check and then copy and paste it into the blog.

  19. TheRoyalBeast says:

    Broncofanlvnm,

The MRI said his hamstring there was no serious damage in his hamstring i beleive not that it wasnt pulled. McD acknowledged the injury and said “ive seen peopel play with worse” so there WAS an injury. and if its pulled it will heal in a month max. Why any player would wanna save themselves for pro bowl is beyond me, a game that counts for nothing where u can get injured…But anything is possible…alot of NFL players aint the most rational thinkers. Hollow words or not, glad it was said.

  20. broncofanlvnm says:

I believe he wanted to use the Pro Bowl as a last chance to “show case” talents looking for a possible trade. Just IMO.

  21. TheRoyalBeast says:

Anyway, Champ says he will be surprised if marshall returns the way things have gone because he has seen the best of the best get traded and the worst of the worst. Roddy White said, pay the man cuz he is proven and Nnamdi said, if he is gone at least he (nnamdi) doesnt have to go agaisnt him twice a year. He is a great player and a great guy.

Only interview Marshall did pro bowl week. for a little kid, he is asking some controversial questions lmao

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9vSRsyutkw

  22. TheRoyalBeast says:

    Broncofanlvnm

You are right…that could be the case. But i think its very ill advised to do that, then say you love the team u play for now and wanna finish your career there. Most free agents who just want the cheddar usually say, like Peppers and Wilfork…I don’t care where i play, I have no preference….

  23. broncofanlvnm says:

Anyway, I’m not a Marshall hater, I hope he stays even though I don’t like the way he handles things like this. He makes this offense better, no doubt.

  24. broncos20 says:

I just feel bad for Marshall, PAY HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Four years (3 w/ league topping numbers) and paid minimum, makes you wonder who is the bad guy here.
Doom and Marsh will be back…

  25. TheRoyalBeast says:

I hear ya Broncos 20. All we can do is hope….

“Brandon understands that he’s got a year left on his present deal, but if he keeps playing the way he is, he’s going to get a very significant raise — a much better contract,” Bowlen said Tuesday at the NFL Fall League Meeting. “That’s the way it goes, and Brandon has accepted that.”

Lets hope Bowlen still feels the same way. This is coming from the Owner which is above the HC. I put a lot of credit in his word. And I’m sure Marshall heard this as well…He wouldn’t purposefully Jeopardize his pay. Some may say “maybe he jeopardized it because he doesn’t want his pay to come from the broncos”…sounds like he wants to play his whole career here…..

  26. sndvl says:

TRB- that kid was hilarious! Arent you too big to be a receiver-lmao!!!!

milelow-why cant we just get rid of the coaching staff?

Someone brought up that our last winning season was 4 years ago. And we have been 32-32 since then. 3 out of the four years we were contending for the playoffs. And had we not endured a December Slide each of the four years (even when we went 7-9), we all might be singing a different tune! My point is, we are competitive year in year out. It can ALWAYS be worse. Just ask Oakland, Detroit and Buffalo! You trade pro bowl players every year, and to me that is a recipe for disaster. The team is only a couple of plays and players away from being dominant. Trade Brandon Marshall and its a step backwards. Attitude aside, who doesnt have the primma donna syndrome among profesional athletes. As long as they are producing on the field, or ice or court or whatever surface…if you are one of the best, you deserve to get paid like it!

  27. baylinorcrush says:

In order to rebuild this team with what we need (in my take on it we need at least 13 new starters), it is obvious to anyone who has any business experience at all that we are not going to be able to pay every player what they think they are worth, because if we did, we might be able to sign a handful of players at those rates but we will run out of funds to be able to sign the others we need to get to where we want to go as a team.

This thing by so many bloggers coming on here and saying, this guy PAY HIM, that guy PAY HIM, is just like kids in a candy store, it has nothing to do with real business life, you need to evaluate how much everyone is worth not only related to their talent, but most importantly to how they fit in financially in the overall team needs at every position as to all fit within the budget the ownership is working with.

The way some of you guys address it is completely childish hence totally financially irresponsible. You might be good at monopoly, but I sure wouldn’t want you to handle my finances, LOL. I remain confident that Bowlen will do the best he can within his financial means to give us the best overall team he can afford to pay for. You may not like this take on it, but it is reality, guys, that’s the way everything works in life and for Bowlen and the Broncos too, no daddy to bail you out if you run into hardship, you’re it, the buck stops here, you either succeed or you bail out, and Bowlen makes the decisions who gets paid what, if that’s not good enough for any players, they must be let go, and every player is up against that no matter what their name is.

Why do you think the owners and the players are at a standstill in their negociations right now, because the owners cannot make it work any longer with the stupid over inflated players payrolls that is plaguing the NFL now, specially the unbelievably dumb signing bonuses and contracts given to rookies who haven’t proved a thing yet. It’s totally out of whack people, and as a business owner most of my life myself, I understand the dilemna the owners are in, that’s the way it is, everyone’s pocket has a bottom.

  28. baylinorcrush says:

Ok, maybe not 13 starters, but at least 13 new players who are able to give us plenty of contribution right now.

  29. BeastFromEast92 says:

Baylin, what I was refering to earlier about McD ruining the franchise,I was talking about him letting our good players go.Everybody on here knows you are not a big Marshall fan,but how can we be a better team without the best receiver we have? Hell the coaches don’t even wanna coach with him, somebody said he’s a hard ass,Hell I dunno????????One thing I do know you don’t start building a team by letting pro bowlers get away!!!

  30. BeastFromEast92 says:

If Marshall wants to go let him go,but if he wants to stay give him at least what he’s worth and keep him here.

  31. TheRoyalBeast says:

When I say pay the man…Respectfully pay him what he is worth to YOUR organization when u factor everything and like in our daily lives if our company says they cant pay but other companies are offering u more…u choose from one of those companies…thats the way it is.

I agree that it has gotten ridiculous…I personally think its NFL players trying to keep up with other sports players. The difference is other sports play more games, ergo, more profit is generated and more pay can be dished out. All about keeping up with the joneses. First NFL players with other athletes and then NFL players with other NFL players in their position. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO ROOKIES OH EM GEE. I personally think it is retarded to say I WANT TOP 10 money…what the hell is that supposed to mean anyway. so you may not be as talented as last years top 10 but because this years draft class is whack and u got drafted in top 10 you should automatically get “top 10 money”…and why does it stop at top 10, hell why not 1st round money lol.

Its ridiculous but hey…its the way it is. NFL and organizations kinda brought this upon them selves, just like the banks in the American economy…and of course…this is just my opinion

    Baylin,

I have an idea what the 13 are but i would like to hear u name them…

  32. BeastFromEast92 says:

milelow, what the Hell is he smoking????????geeeeeeezh

  33. Orange_Crusher says:

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

The 2009 NFL sack leader and ALL TIME Bronco sack leader is “over rated”.

    hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LMFAO

You have got to be joking….right?

  34. TheRoyalBeast says:

    BFE

I agree, if the man wants to stay, measure his worth to your organization, which is alot in Marshalls case (has made both cutler and orton look good not to mention he is a great YAC reciever which is good for McD dink and dunk) and Dumervil is worth it as well. You need Anchors in all positions, and then u can surround them with average/above average talents. Thats how I always though u make a team.

  35. TheRoyalBeast says:

Lmao @ orange crusher….u must have found that unbelievably hilarious from the looks of things….but its an opinion blog so he has the right to say it even if it is retarded lol

  36. baylinorcrush says:

I was referring to my list of needs for FA and draft, regardless of their names (who they turn out to be), other than pick 4 through 7 in the draft, they will all cost mucho bucks, specially FA’s and I figure we should get at least 6 of them. I’ve already posted all that stuff recently so I don’t want to bring all my scenarios up again so soon, I’ll get back into it come beginning of March I’m sure.

  37. broncos20 says:

lol..very true Baylin about the “kids in the candy shop” parody. but any kid knows what “unfair” means..IMO

  38. baylinorcrush says:

OC, have you read my 1:18 pm post, I think you’ll like it.

  39. BeastFromEast92 says:

RoyalBeast,I agree with every word you said.LOL

  41. BeastFromEast92 says:

Who does McD think will take his place Gaffney??? we don’t play KC evey week.LOL

  42. BeastFromEast92 says:

Kiper has us taking Dez Bryant with our 1st pick, does he know something we don’t???????

  43. baylinorcrush says:

broncos20, from reading your posts, even so you must be young, you seem to be somehow grounded, I wasn’t referring to you in particular, you just happened to say pay him right before my post, but many said it in much more childish ways before you did, so it was addressed in general type of thing. And yes, of course, time has come for Marshall to reap the benefits of his play, I’m just not sure what we can offer him will satisfy him is basically what I’m getting at.

  44. BeastFromEast92 says:

Even if Marshall don’t stay I hope we don’t waste our 1st pick on a receiver.MY GOD

  45. baylinorcrush says:

Picking Dez would go along the lines of picking Moreno last year. And to answer your question, no I don’t believe he knows one more iota than you and I, well maybe a little, LOL.

  46. baylinorcrush says:

I’M with you BFE92, what a horrible way to start this draft it would be, IMO.

  47. baylinorcrush says:

What a horrible way it was to start last year draft.

  48. BeastFromEast92 says:

Why is Kiper saying we are??????

  49. TheRoyalBeast says:

    Bay and BFE,

Plus I read somewhere that Dez has off the field issues. Like trading in a proven player with past off the field issues for unproven player with off the field issues lol

I agree no matter how the Marshall thing plays out. No WR draft please but like baylin said…dont think we were expecting Moreno last year either so anything is possible. Just hurts me to see ayers sucking but Cushings and Orakpo BOTH in the PRO BOWL…unbelievable…sure dropped the ball in that one.

  50. baylinorcrush says:

One thing for sure, if we don’t trade Marshall March 5th and sign him, Mel Kiper will look stupid as hell.
