  5. kgup says:

i hear ya it would be nice to have him and Brandon Marshall both on tha field and i cant wait to see how B Quinn gonna act on tha field with a line that can block for him i honestly think hes a good qb just didnt have tha line and dont be surprised if he beat out Kyle Orton because he has what Kyle doesnt a strong arm to throw deep balls down field and that will open up our run game alot.

  6. footballMANIAC says:

Don’t want Dez Bryant. Then we could have two onry receivers on the field instead of just one. Even if we made one happy, the other would be mad. Not to mention that they’d probably not get along and cause even more controversy. No thanks, I’ll pass. Let’s just keep Marshall and use what we have.

  7. florio's_mom says:

    Well you might be pissed.

    No way we get Dez.

  8. footballMANIAC says:

    Ha ha:

“Per a league source, after the person administering the test to Tebow’s group had finished, Tebow made a request that the players bow their heads in prayer before taking the 50-question exam.
Said one of the other players in response: “Shut the f–k up.” Others players in the room then laughed.” –yardbarker.com

Maybe not the best place and time, Tim.

  9. footballMANIAC says:

Huh. Well I’ve also heard McNabb to Raiders, McNabb to Broncos, McNabb to Bucs, McNabb to Nuggets, McNabb to Lakers… Ha ha. I’ll believe it when I see it.

  10. JoeSmokesDro says:

Umm sorry to tell all of you, we’re not gonna be picking up Dez Bryant. Brandon Marshall will be on next seasons roster because seattle isnt ready to give up there 6th overall pick for him. Having that said, we do need another great inside linebacker. That’s why we’re going to pick Rolando Mclain from alabama. I’m very excited for this years draft, I don’t know who we’re gonna pick rounds 2-7. =) Have a nice day

  11. footballMANIAC says:

I’m starting to doubt that we will pick Mclain. McD made it sound like Mario Haggan is moving inside and Ayers is moving up on the outside. Although Haggan is our oldest linebacker, so I guess you can’t rule out drafting a talented rookie to take over.

  12. JoeSmokesDro says:

Oh yah, I also think if we don’t pick up Mcclain in the 1st round. We’re probably gonna pick up another back. We basically only have Knowshon Moreno, Buckhalter is constantly getting injured. I would like to get C.J Spiller or maybe even Jahvid Best get picked. I would be a very happy camper =)

  13. BeastFromEast92 says:

JSD I hope you are right love to have McClain and keep the BEAST.

  14. BeastFromEast92 says:

Definitely need another RB Buck is injury proned. What about Ball???

  15. whitebronco#1 says:

    from twitter of richeisen:

Man, are rumors of McNabb to the Rams heating up, or what? It’s absolutely everywhere right now

  16. BeastFromEast92 says:

All I know is we need to start Ayers at OLB,he has great potential and is faster than Haggan.

  17. JoeSmokesDro says:

The only position on the team i’m worried about right now its the TE spot. I really hope nobody tries to pick up Tony Scheffler for a 2cd round tender. That really worries me, hes a very special tight end that should be starting next year. I don’t know about you guys, but I really think we should release Daniel Graham. He’s to big, too slow and can’t catch the ball. All he can do is block. Tony Scheffler can catch, run and block. I don’t know what the broncos see in Graham. What do you guys think?

  18. whitebronco#1 says:

I don’t have a clue what will be our #11 pick, or the rest. Last year we had a busy free agency in RBs and DBs, and we ended drafting a RB with the 1st pick and 3 DBs later.

This year’s FA was busy with DLs… so? I couldn’t count out a young DL to be groomed by the new DL veterans with the 1st pick. McD said in that breakfast that he likes the young DLs already on the team… so? Back to “not a clue” again.

Of course I’d love to be in the “logic” track and draft what it seems to be obvious (ILB or OL), but who knows anymore.

  19. footballMANIAC says:

    JSD:
I actually think Graham catches the ball decently well. He does lack speed though. And Scheffler isn’t that great of a blocker; he’s more like a really big, slower WR. I think Quinn was drafter to learn from and succeed Graham, but Graham will stay until either he is hurt, his production drops, or his contract runs out. He is, after all, a former Patriot, and we all know how much McDaniels likes those.

  20. rayjr26 says:

gotta respectfully disagree with a few posts…. first if we are going to get rid of marshall for his shananigans then NO WAY do we pick up the train wreck that is dez bryant! and brady is not known for his strong arm. thus derrick anderson who was clevelands deep ball threat. and the big knock on schef has always been his poor blocking skills. he IS however our best pass catching TE.

  21. footballMANIAC says:

We sure do seem to share the same opinion a lot of the time, rayjr. ;) How was your birthday, by the way?

  22. TheRoyalBeast says:

Haha, Ill follow up on what others have said, I would like McClain but I am fine if we dont get him. Hagan on the inside and ayers on the outside works for now. I wish we had more than 6 picks.

2 picks i want in mid rounds tho, are CB Akwazi Owusu Ansah and RB Charles Scott. Look them up, and youtube them. Ansah is a ball hawk and KR (4.3 speed) and Charlse Scott runs with so much power and explosiveness.

The first couple of picks on the other hand is anyone guess. I have a feeling we will be blind sided. I want us to keep Marshall and I prefer demaryius thomas over Dez Bryant. But I prefer Marshall over ALL

Graham is awesome, keep him. Excelent blocker…decent receiver, runs people over. Sheff is great, I agree he is one of the best recieving TE and fast TE. He just needs to improve in the block and just be tougher overall. I still think Richard Quinn was a waste of a second round pick last year. 2ND ROUND not 3RD not 4TH, SECOND….And he did virtually nothing. Last years draft was depressing. We can only do better this year… I hope lol

  23. TheRoyalBeast says:

PS: JSD, Im a big Jahvid Best fan

  24. footballMANIAC says:

We’re at the same place considering McClain, TRB. And I definitely 110% agree on Charles Scott. Haven’t heard of the CB. I’d definitely rather keep Marshall, like Graham and Scheffler, and I can see your point on Quinn. He would have been a great 3-4 round pick, though.

  25. rayjr26 says:

maniac… B day was ok… took a DUI for a buddy… and i swear i wasnt drivin!! obviously not a sober mind when i made that decision to cover for him. it was a BLAST up until then tho. lol got a lawyer tho so im hopin to at least get it knocked down!

  26. TheRoyalBeast says:

    Hey Maniac,

Ansah, has been speeding up draft projections due to Combine and ohio pro day performances. He is from a Division 2 school which is why he is so low, but he has great instincts and raw potential. Ran a 4.4 in combine and then a 4.33 at pro day. 6ft and 207 pounds. Full grown CB lol. First heard about him from cali bronco. He seems more like a zone CB than a cover corner but on returns the boy knows how to break tackles

    FLorio

loved the link on Madden..Im a madden fanatic lol

  27. footballMANIAC says:

Oh wow. Nice birthday present lol. I got pulled over last weekend, but I didn’t get a ticket.

  28. royalbroncofan1 says:

Looks like quite a few mock drafts are feeling Marshall will make his move. Reviewed 17 mock drafts with 10 of 17 now listing Bryant as our #11 pick. Agree with you baylinor – doesn’t make sense to draft a high maintenance WR. A couple of other kids we can p/u in later rounds at WR. Williams or McClain seem to be the likely choice, however were stocked at both positions.
Not sure who X man and McD will take…… G- Mike Iupati (6’5″ 330 lbs) ?? Cowboys and Steelers also interested in Iupati.

  29. denverbro89 says:

Were projected to take McClain, I think he would be good for us, but we need someone in the secondary, Eric Berry would do winders for our Secondary, paired with McBath, who should be starting next year. I agree with you guys on Quinn being a second round pick, unless we move him to FB he was a waste, in my opinion, if we didn’t drat him he probably would of went undrafted, unless its a receiving TE, never draft him so early, same with a FB.

  30. denverbro89 says:

If we trade anybody, I would trade Sheffler to the Bengals pushing for a 2-3 round pick and Jeremi Johnson. We need a FB and he is pretty solid and would fit in our system or Brian Leonard, even though he is smaller and almost like Hillis, so that would probably be a long shot.

  31. sndvl says:

baylin, youre gonna have to refresh my memory on the Drunk McD rant!!! Though, I havent liked the guy for some time now…my resolve only becomes stronger as each day (and McDecision) goes by!
Too bad McD has the man crush on Brady, we could have McNabb. Which I believe is the better option. I guess impatience coincides with immaturity.
6 picks in 7 rounds. Unless you count LeKevin Smith and Alphonso Smith… Who are busts to this point…
Wonder who the guy was that dropped the F-bomb in the Tebow incident…guess McD isnt the only one with immaturity problems. I see no problem with requesting a prayer…I wish Dawkins could meet this guy one on one in a locked church….

  32. baylinorcrush says:

sndvl, point was DrunkenBronc was been so tough on McD, even so you are always hard on him, it would of taken you drunk to be that tough on him, surprised you missed it.

  33. Cali_BroncosFan says:

YEA!!! TRB SPREAD THE WORD OF AKWASI!!!

Anyways I also would love for us to draft McClain but I think trading down for more picks would be a wiser approach. 6 picks in the draft isint enough to fill the holes this team has.

I would love for Marshall and Scheffler to return but if coach thinks otherwise so be it. Im also still confused why we took a blocking TE(Quinn) with a 2nd round pick.

  34. whitebronco#1 says:

Akwasi is good! Thanks for the link. Maybe a 3rd rounder, if he’s indeed going up on draft boards?

If so, and if it happens that McD won’t take McClainn at #11, I’d love to trade #11 down for more 2nd and 3rd rounders.

  35. sndvl says:

OK, got it now! If I was drunk, I might be inclined to post something similar to OC and his praise of McGenius!!! lol

  36. kase78matt says:

Akwasi is a smart player but hes in such a low school hes gunna drop further than 3rd round may not even be drafted… very smart player jst sayin leave our third for like a center or guard

  37. whitebronco#1 says:

Yeah, agreed in that… if we have just 1 3rd rounder, better use higher rounds in OL. BUT if we trade down the 11 pick then we will have 2 or 3 3rd or 4th rounders, and we can use one in Akwasi. That’s the idea of trading down, to get more picks, right?

  38. strandoftds says:

I saw what Ansah can do. He would be a great pick. He`s got all the tools and we need another returner. He`s projected to go 3rd or 4th round.

  39. footballMANIAC says:

I hate how kids from Div. 2 schools are automatically assumed to be inferior (in most cases). There are some incredible athletes in Div. 2. Like Marc Mariani from my Grizzlies.

  40. codybleedsorangeandblue says:

    TRB,

I love Scott as I am an LSU alum and die hard fan. The only issue with Scott is he is coming off a pretty serious injury….broken collarbone

  41. dlmyers says:

Yea late to the party but must still bring the kool-aid.
    All you glass-half-empty ‘fans’.
Lets start with, correct no Bryant. And who posted that they want a FB? The system does not use on (bye Hillis). Eric Berry would be great at #11 (no way). Quinn played as expected with ‘big’ set blocking and contributed on every ST (blocked a fake punt to save a game). No McBath will not start, Hill way too valuable in coverage calls. McBath and Barrett will play the ‘big’ nickle. Who wanted McNabb? You would pay $10m for old and done.
And why do you not like the 2009 draft? All contributed were needed except Schelter (7th round center).
My surprise for the year will be Spencer Larsen at starting MILB.
One positive comment, I reall do lick CB Akwazi Owusu Ansah .

  42. TheRoyalBeast says:

Yea but the thing about Ansah is that he has been sprinting up draft boards….literally lol. He impressed at the combine and did even better at the pro days where he ran a 4.3. Darn near stole the show lol

But yea, a 3rd or 4th round selection sounds good to me. He takes care of our KR issues and lets Royal focus more on WR. While he is doing special team duties, he can perfect his CB technique…makes sense to me.

    Codybleed

Yea, I am a fan of what charles scott can do at the round they project him going. I hear about his injury but from what i’ve read, it shouldn’t both him or his draft stock. He is powerful and has explosive game speed. Dunno how fast his 40 was tho.

I just don’t see why we should spend another high pick on a RB (Gerhart) when we just spent a first rounder the year before on Moreno. We have glaring needs, especially on the oline that high picks can take care of…and without a Oline i dont care if u are a power RB like Gerhart, u aint running nowhere, being a power RB is half momentum half size/power. If u get hit in the back field, say good bye to momentum.

Even tho i like Mclain, like whitebronco and many have said, trading down for extra picks would be the wise thing.

I figure we can get someones low first and low 3rd for our 1st. at worst a 4th and in the 4th round could take care of both Ansah and Scott. spend the first 3 picks on OL and ILB That would be my approach, but I dont run things. Lets see how it works….

  43. TheRoyalBeast says:

    Dlmyers,

All R. Quinn did was block and special teams, I dont think thats worthy of a 2nd round pick at TE. Especially when we already had 2 on board. Moreno did well and I believe in him. Ayers did nothing. Phonzie did nothing. Im a big McBath fan and think he is the future. Bruton is a special teams Ace. And I forget our other picks. But the point isn’t that they didn’t or won’t produce in the future, just that, that wasn’t the most efficient use of our picks. But liek they say, only time will tell….

  44. weareamr says:

Or maybe we can get some much needed WEAPONS! did anyone mention WEAPONS. I was just thinking to myself, “self we need some WEAPONS”. you all know that “dink and dunk” offense we have…. well we need to add some “and a cloud of smoke” to go with it.

  45. weareamr says:

    Did anyone mention WEAPONS yet?
    Go Broncos!!

  46. samoanbronco says:

When was the last time we traded for a top 10 pick?

  47. footballMANIAC says:

I’m not sure we ever have, samoanbronco. Shanny hated trading up, I only ever saw him do it for Cutler and Moss. We traded for Elway, not for the pick to draft him. But I’m no expert on Broncos draft history.

  48. eternalorangeandblue says:

we should get the black smoke from lost to play linebacker for us

  49. DATWATER says:

I think we should keep Brandon and let him take out his anger on the whole schedule for what is essentially an insult to him that no one was willing to pony up a 1st round pick for him when he was well worth the 1st and the 3rd; I really hope McDaniels doesn’t agree to anything other than that 6th pick; I hope Marshall is paying close attention to what Carroll and the rest of the Seahawk country is telling him outright to his face……”you’re not worth a 1st round pick!” Insult the guy and then expect him to want to go play for you? In the words of Keyshawn, “Come On, Man!!”
