Over the weekend with all the free agency happenings, a number of y’all asked about the Broncos’ 2009 draft selections.
I now have an updated full round-by-round order of the 2009 NFL Draft.
As most already know, the Broncos hold the 12th overall selection in the draft, but they also have eight more picks as of now.
Their next selection will be the 48th overall, 15th in the second round. The third pick is the 79th overall selection, which is the 15th in the third round.
They pick 14th in the fourth round, and then things get interesting. They have two picks in the fifth round, beginning with the fourth selection which they acquired from Seattle by trading wide receiver Keary Colbert. Then the team has the 13th pick in the fifth round.
The Broncos have just one pick again in the sixth round, the 12th. And again in the seventh round, they have two picks. The first comes in 16th position and the last in 26th, acquired by trading Domonique Foxworth to the Falcons.
This is the most up-to-date list, however it very likely could change. The NFL has not determined compensatory picks yet, which will be awarded to teams at the bottom of rounds 3-7. Once the compensatory picks are announced, we’ll have an updated draft order.

nice 9 picks!!! i think with all these Rbs signed ull c hillis back at FB
I heard Tony Scheffler is on the trading block. I say we trade him and a 2nd or 3rd round pick to Cleveland for Braylon Edwards who is also on the trading block. Then we can use the rest of the draft for Defense and O-line depth. What do you guys think?
Edwards has stone hands and is very inconsistent lately. i personally dont wanna see scheff go id rather see ghram go. but we all know thats not gunna happen cause hes an ex-patriot. we also dont need another WR.
TEST
Ok,…
Adam, you actually answer your blogs so here goes…
I’ve been saving this comment ’till the right time.
and the right time is now!!
How ever you can get this info to Xanders, by all means do so…
But I truly think you guys should give DJ WILLIAMS to KC for the #3spot and sell our 1st Rd #12 spot to Carolina for Julius Peppers w $40M for 5yrs with $16M Guaranteed in 1 yr… OR WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET HIM!!
This will be a Win-Win for Denver because you can Anchor the Pass Rush Attack with Peppers, Rajji, and Moss in a 3-4 system, by using the #3spot(from K.C.) to secure BJ Rajji, the KEY WORD is SECURE!!!!!!!!!!!
Who knows, we maybe get lucky and get Jason Taylor for cheaper just because he gets to play opposite Peppers!
Just Imagine that for a minute, will you… ADAM…You can Make This Happen!! Simply suggest it on my behalf,….Please!?!
It’s an Ingenious Idea I know,…we can toast to the SuperBowl later, but I highly suggest you FORWARD WITH HASTE my idea…before their Gone!!!

6th to last pick in draft for foxy is a blow, what a joke we needed him last year thats the worst trade shanny made.
dj to kc are you stupid dj is best player on defenst were not trading dj he is starting mlb with davis next year larsen is the sub
WE TRADED FOXWORTH FOR 7TH RND PICK!! OMG ..HE JUST SIGNED A NICE CONTRACT. INTERESTING THAT THE RAVENS GRABBED HIM. THEY CAN SCOUT D TALENT AND HE’LL PROBABLY CONTINUE TO DO GOOD OVER THIER BECAUSE THEY CAN MIX IT UP AND GET PRESSURE ON THE QB. GOD I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WHAT NOLEN CAN DO WITH THIS UNIT. I WANT TO BA ABLE TO SAY “SACK EM” OR “PICK IT” TO MY TV ONCE AGAIN.
ravens got foxy cause he is from maryland he will be a great number one corner for years that was a bad trade for us even in a contract year, we should of signed him long term last year when he was beating bly out for number 2 corner, let d williams friend be the number two not somebody you traded for because we lost him
no i was sayin we put Dj and our Number1 pick which i hope is a LB at 1 an2 2 ILB spots
