The Broncos’ strength and conditioning staff hosted a group of Denver-area high school football coaches for a free clinic at the team’s Dove Valley headquarters on Thursday evening.
“It’s a free strength clinic to help out local coaches and spread our methodology,” Strength and Conditioning Coach Luke Richesson said. “We have about one hundred coaches signed up this year.”
Richesson along with his assistants Jason George, Mike Eubanks and Anthony Lomando led the group of coaches through two 80-minute sessions that covered different aspects of strength and conditioning.
The clinic was geared toward the high school level and included program design and assessment, exercise selection, proper warmups, speed and agility training and plyometrics.
On one half of the team’s strength and conditioning center, Richesson and Lomando led the strength and power components. On the other side of the room, George and Eubanks covered the warmups, speed and agility and plyometric drills.
