As an Engineering Alumnus of the University of Utah I always respected Zane while playing for the Utes. He was a true Student-Athlete, outstanding in the classroom and on the field. One of the best compliments I heard was from one of his classmates/lab partners, “to us Zane is not a ‘football player’ he is just a big engineer that happens to play football really well.”

More than that though Zane was always a good guy and I it is heartening to see that he is using his success with the Broncos to continue his positive effect on people off the field. Developing from a “good guy” into a “good man.”
