June 9th marked the end of the first of what is anticipated to be an annual Be a Champion in the Community Week — a full week of roster-wide community service, while asking the community to get engaged as well.
Saturday’s service projects included four Habitat for Humanity home builds, led by the likes of two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year Wesley Woodyard, and featuring new home owners Frank and Shiane Wilson, who are Habitat ambassadors in the Broncos’ new “Be A Champion in the Community” campaign.
Players also made visits to partner HealthONE Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children and to both locations of the Ronald McDonald House, spreading cheer and goodwill to patients and families.
Two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year Champ Bailey remained committed to the Denver Rescue Mission, serving meals alongside other Broncos players to residents of The Crossing and Lawrence Street Shelter.
Broncos players could be seen elsewhere in town bagging groceries at partner King Soopers and serving up orders at the McDonald’s drive-thru. Von Miller even gave fans special commemorative Broncos glasses to fans at Arby’s.
In addition, Ryan Clady was serving up some mean frostys at Wendy’s and that Demaryius Thomas was great with the crowds at Red Robin.
Before the day came to an end, Broncos Bunch members were treated to a Chris Kuper-led summer kickoff at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Also, youth football players honed their skills with Assistant Director of Pro Personnel Champ Kelly at his annual camp at All City Stadium in Denver.
Last but not least, Chipotle guests got a special treat with their burritos Saturday — warm hospitality served up by the Denver Broncos.
Looking forward to seeing you all next year, but in the mean time, we challenge Broncos Country, “What can you do to be a champion in our community?”

LMAO LBF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahaha
he might’ve passed out himself! lol
Just wanted to repost this incase it got lost in the mix………..

Hey Gang!
Just got some great news. I got an email back from Gray and he thinks the scoring contest is a great idea! He’s going to investigate on how it can be implimented on his end and take things from there. Not sure if it’ll actually happen but it’s a positive response none-the-less. WHOOP!
This for DB’s wishes about the latest Legwold/DJ thing:

“This from Legwold, and not I, even so it very well could be, about DJ and his injury set back:
About the WLB position the Broncos may need a Plan B, both in the near future and later.
That’s because, at this point in his career with 101 career starts, DJ Williams is a fairly battered player for a 29-year-old.
He’s out after suffering a dislocated right elbow after a tackle attempt in the preseason win over the Seahawks on Saturday.
He had right shoulder surgery in early 2009 and has played with a brace on the shoulder at times. He suffered a torn MCL in 2008 and has missed practice time with hip, hamstring, knee, thigh and shoulder injuries through the years. He also missed time last season because of a concussion.
At such a high-impact position, that is already a significant list of injuries. Often it’s just the way things trend in football, because the game is tough to play and the people who play it ask a lot of their bodies.
Not to mention the two DUIs, the lack of leadership, the lack of commitment, yeah, extremely talented of course, but just one of those players who could of beeen great had he applied the same kind of dedication to the game including off season workouts that great probowl players do (DJ has never made the probowl regardless of his tackling numbers). That last paragraph was me, not Legwold, LOL.”
Adding the steroids allegations and childish playbook pics posting is not going to help my view of him any, haha.
Same with Moreno, they both must go, not Bronco worthy, sorry dudes.
Been saying that about both for years now.
MORENO MUST GO!
DJ MUST GO!
And killer:
Great imagination on both OC and yourself about the rap song. Definitely not my cup of tea though, I am the same age as coach Fox, there are some things that those kind of generation gaps will do to anyone, rap would be one of those, LOL.
lol bay………….maybe OC and I will have to collaborate on a country-western song next then? lol Old school hank williams style?
also……..thought you would appreciate my post above about the scoring contest. Trying to get the blog admin on board with having a fillable form on the website for the contest and have them administer it and dedicate a blog to the contest each week. Not sure if it’ll actually happen but they’re interested in the idea!
Good, they can forward the patented royalties to my P.O. Box then.
And no country boy here, born and bred on hard rock from the late sixties.
Bay
Do you remember who posted the Dark Hole hated riders story. I keep reposting it and can not remeber who it was. My copy and past save did not get who posted. cam thought it was 07 but I dont think it was her.
FTR
r8r h8r dude
That’s why they call me the Wiki, LOL.
I’ll let them know………..be prepared for a payday! LMAO!
Who are some of your fave artists from that era?
The usual suspects:
Deep Purple
Grand Funk
Hendrix
Sabbath
Floyd
Zep
Steppenwolf
And some darker unknown ones to many:
Spirit
Soft Machine
Vand der graft generator
Genesis
caravan
magma
Pretty things
and so many more….
I have around 700 LP records, just got me a new turntable, been engrossed into it of late, fabulous sound!
Nice……….def a lot of good ones listed. Floyd is my fave along with Hendrix and Zepplin. I won a contest a couple years ago to see Roger Waters perform The Wall in Ottawa. Won airfare, hotel, front row center tix, a swag bag and $1000 spending money from our radio station. It was a SICK show……….but just not the same without gilmour. Oh well, it was still an amazing show. They built the wall on stage as the show went on and at the very end the whole thing came crumbling down. Loved it!
and no matter how good digital claims to be………….you can never replicate the true sound quality of hi-fi on a record.
LBF! LOL I am not sure I believe turtle wrote that. Good thing I was layin down when I read it! I love it though! LOL
I remember I found this old record laying around in my school and I checked it out and discovered what would be one of my favorite songs. Hocus Pocus by Focus. It was just such a rockin tune with a weirdness about it with the yodelling! lol
I have a ion turn table that convets LP’s to digital. My kids got it for me cuz I have a ton of 70, 80, rock. I have some old stuff from when I served in germany. AC/CD when Bon Scott was still alive. They do not sensor over there. So it was fun for a little while but boy its a pain in the ass. Thanks WiKi Bay for the poster info. I can now give kudos to who wrote it next I post it before fader games.
Back to work
Peace Out

Morning Cat!

Denver, CO. – Local authorities have officially issued a warning for the Dove Valley area over the next three days. Several reports have confirmed, and State officials are concerned over the expected ‘Wolfe’ sightings. Often mistaken for a Bearcat, this wild Wolfe has a nasty attitude, is tough as nails, has a great work ethic, and has a nose for bull rushing the QB from the middle of the DL. Please do not feed the Wolfe, and it is recommended to keep any opposing QB’s away from the Wolfe at all costs.
LOL @ OT!
The “Wolfe” is such a threat he’ll have his own special on National Geographic’s Most Dengerous Animals! LMAO
LOL OT very clever… mornin Kod!
Man I am so excited about today! Should be a good one. (-;
Watchin ESPN Live with the Broncos
Are players allowed to show up today by choice even if they haven’t signed? Or are they prohibited?
Scheffter just said that there is a buzz around the Broncos facility that beats last seasons buzz…. the players are very excited. Me too!!!!!!!!
Kod they can go if they aren’t signed but they risk getting injured which would change negotiations.
haha ot. and kk that country western thing would fit me. i too like the hard rock so that would work but if you do country you have one guy nere that would like it. especially hank jr style! love zepplin, not so much hendrix but deep purple rocks. now ftr your definately speaking my language with ac/dc my all time favorite. i was more 80′s and 90′s rock and country. love ol cash tho. ya cat be glad you were laying down i wasnt. couldnt believe what i was reading. funny. and not bad actually. bay i think we keep both guys one more year. and then its see ya both. heck if moreno doesnt do something drastic it could be see ya after training camp…
man yall are making me jealous. i’ve got no power here cant watch anything. and its getting hot! come on power company, damn. and cat that buzz is real i’m sure, not just hype from the media. theres just something about having an all pro, hall of fame qb leading your team that makes everyone wanna try that much harder because they know where the effort can take them.
hey ot i think we should feed the wolfe and see what happens…..
Yes! It made me real excited… more than I was if possible! I am off to tutor, chat with you latee!
Oh and I would love a county version. I love love love country music!
see ya cat!
In the Broncos’ ideal plan, Wolfe and veteran Ty Warren eventually will become their starting defensive tackles this season.

Broncos are 1-8 last three seasons at home to division opponents…… We need our home field advantage back!!!!
Check out the tackle vs. West Virginia at 1:37 on the above video… Love that athleticism!!!
OT my favorite tackle in that is the second one. Where he brings down the QB while the Oline men is still pushing on him. Shows a lot of strength to be facing to Oline men and no t pushing back but standing there andb bringing the QB down one handed. Strength!!
I love that one too AB. I know it’s his highlights, but I don’t care. I’m so pumped about this kid, and I think I like his work ethic and drive more than anything. He’s just one of those guys who has a chip on his shoulder, who is never satisfied, and feels like he has a lot to prove. Great addition to our team!
I also love in one of his interviews he talk about how little money he has but he was raised to work for your money. Which is a good thing because now that he has money hes going to keep working and earn every cent of it. Which not all players do.
For everyone who loves JDR being our new DC when he interviewed for the job with Denver one of the questions they asked was “Are you going to leave after one year?” Now I dont know what he says but Denver has had 6 different DCs in 6 years. IMO he mustve said no so they could have some consistency with the defense playbook.
But who knows if the right offer comes along.
I think McCoy and JDR would be out of their minds to take a HC job in the next 3-4 years, now that Manning is in Denver. Especially McCoy IMO.
OT I agree with you. JDR really failed as a HC in Jax he should stay in Denver for 5 years at least IMO. McCoy well I wouldnt mind seeing him go but he would be a fool to do so.
Both of them are going to be lauded as being a genius. They are both very capable coaches, but they are also set up VERY nicely this upcoming season..
I wouldnt be heartbroken if we lost McCoy, but I really hope we can hold onto JDR for a few years. I love how fired up he gets, and I can’t wait to see him on the sidelines getting in the guys faces and barking orders with veins popping out of his neck, leather jacket and all!!!
New blog OT.
OT I completely agree. Wouldnt be sad to see McCoy go but JDR would be sad to see!!
The Broncos are the best team in the NFL, while being the best communiy helpers around. Wesley Woodyard should be a pro bowler this year alon many others like Peyton Manning!
