Howdy Broncos Fans!
My name is Jessica and I am a third-year veteran of your Denver Broncos Cheerleaders! Raised in Illinois for the first 14 years of my life I was never really aware of how enthusiastic an NFL fan base could be. Well, that all changed when my life drastically took a turn for the better and I moved to Colorado!
The year was 2001 when we packed up the U-Haul and drove out to Colorado! I remember arriving in the evening and first noticing the amazing mountains. What came next you ask? All different sizes of horse head stickers on the back of almost every other vehicle!
I thought to myself, “Wow, there must be a lot of Broncos fans around this area!” But it wasn’t just in one town that I noticed those stickers, they were everywhere. It may have taken me a couple weeks to fully understand it, but I soon found out what “Broncos Country” really meant!
Every Broncos fan that I have ever met isn’t just some fan that will watch a game or two. No, they are die hard, live for the Broncos fanatics! Whether it be showing off their team-inspired tattoos or sweet new blue and orange Reeboks, you’ll always notice the passion in a Broncos fan’s voice! Sure, we try out for this team because we have a passion for dance and want to support our favorite NFL team. But what keeps us coming back year after year is the inspiration we receive from YOU — the best fans in the NFL!
From the moment we make this team, we are so strongly supported by the fans! Every appearance we attend you make us feel incredibly special. I really enjoy talking with each and every one of you, hearing your stories of how you became such avid Broncos fans and what your favorite memories have been thus far!
Just recently I had the privilege of being a part of two Broncos Country Caravans in the southern and western parts of Colorado. Everyone seemed so excited and grateful to have had us in their town, but we’re the ones who should be grateful! We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the fans!
When asked what my favorite part of game day is my response will always be, “The moment we walk out of the tunnel and hear the roar of cheering coming from our Broncos fans!” I cannot explain the feeling, but I still get chills even thinking about it.
Before the game even begins our fans are filled with so much excitement and energy! If we weren’t already pumped for the game, we are now! I can’t stop smiling throughout the entire game, every time I turn around our fans are there supporting the players and losing their voices from screaming. There are even times when the crowd is so loud we can’t hear the music! But that’s part of what makes you the best! You’re always ready to cheer with us, and some of you even try to mimic our sweet dance moves. (Impressive by the way!)
Even when the game isn’t going the way we’d like, you’re still out there cheering on our beloved Denver Broncos! Broncos Country, to me, really is more like a family than a fan base — always there for one another whether good or bad and always will be.
Although game day is what brings us all together, I have to say I love being able to reach out to the community off the field. When we are asked to make an appearance we all jump on the opportunity to meet more of our fans on a more personal level! From 20-year season ticket holders to children that have never been to a game, each and every one of you touches and inspires us in your own special way. So I’d like to take this time to say “Thank YOU Broncos Fans!”
Thank you for your words of encouragement and faith in the Denver Broncos organization! Thank you for always supporting every aspect of the Denver Broncos and being the best fans any team could ever ask for! You are a huge part of what makes this team so incredible and what makes me so grateful to have been selected as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader for my 3rd season! I can’t wait to see you all at the game tomorrow!
And please, don’t hesitate to ask for a high-five!
Your biggest fan!
Jessica
