One more comment about Darrell Reid. While I despise the Patriots’ cheating and arrogance, there were good elements of the New England scheme. One of these was the fact that they had numerous versatile players who excelled in several ways. Mike Vrabel was one of those players, but Spencer Larsen is a more polished, classier and better version of Vrabel. Reid can also do numerous things well, so I’m sure he’ll fit into our plans nicely.

Marshallman.yea i hear ya…Did Boss have any experience at DT?Far as i always knew of him he was a LB,but hey..it seems everyone on this new defense is learning new positions so you may be right…

he could still play DT though. I’m not so sure we could’nt still use him as a lineman, but, I never really payed attention to those free-agents we got anyway.

Marshallman…naaa..we got a good compliment of linebackers in camp now..i think we’ll be fine.Boss may have been a good LB..but never got a chance to prove it for getting hurt.But this is a new era for this Bronco team and unfortunately he just didnt make the cut…

Dynamicdave…read your article and agree about Champ..I think last year was unfortunate cause his injury seemed to just hang on.There were games where he thought he was ready to go,then up to warm ups and game time the injury would start nagging again.But he seems healthy again and ready to go,and with the upgraded defensive backfield he going to be the old Champ we all know and love…..

boss was pretty good, but we shoulda played him as d-end. that’s what we should’ve used him as (and I missed it if he did) but without DJ we may have needed him as a L-backer.

Great article! There was alot of good info in there about Champ that i didnt even know. I also too agree wtih you about having to go out there and prove everyone wrong. I think he should play with a huge chip on his shoulder. It is really unfortunate about Boss though, but seeing his track record of getting hurt i think it was possibly for the best.
