Hey faithful Broncos fans!
With the Broncos season coming to a disappointing end, I believe it is vitally important — now more than ever — for Broncos fans to focus on the positive rather than the negative. One of the questions on our cheerleader bio page is “Who do you admire most in the sports industry?”
For the past 3 years, my answer has always been “I admire any person in the sports industry who is able to stay humble and who spends genuine quality time in the community” Broncos fans, there are many players on our team that we should give credit to for being a positive role model in our Colorado community.
Here are just a few examples…
Brian Dawkins is known for being a big inspiration in the community. He has donated his money and time to many different charities in the community.
For Thanksgiving, he teamed up with King Soopers and donated $11,000 to the Salvation Army. Thanks to King Soopers and Dawkins, 250 families were able to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal. This is the second year in a row he has done this! This is just one example of the many different ways he has given to the community.
About a week ago, Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas volunteered their time at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver by hosting a holiday shopping trip for the kids that attend the club. They took time out of their day to spend time with the kids and to help them pick out gifts for their families.
On Dec. 7, Champ Bailey, David Bruton, Daniel Graham, Kyle McCarthy and Wesley Woodyard, along with my teammate Nicole, all volunteered their time at the Denver Rescue Mission. The guests met and talked with the players, and they all received gift bags and a free meal.
I’ve had the opportunity to do a charity with Woodyard and did another one with him last night at the Denver Aquarium, helping him collect toys for boys and girls this holiday season. He has invested his time and money to the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver and the Tennyson Center.
The Tennyson Center is where I volunteer my time with the girls teaching a cheer/dance class. I know first-hand the impact he is making on these children’s lives!
These are just a few examples of players who are taking time out of their busy lives to make sure they are helping our Colorado community. They are definitely making positive lasting impressions on the lives of others. With only 3 games left this season, let’s all try and focus on the positive and applaud our team for investing their time in making a difference in our community!

Nice piece on the efforts of the team to help the community. With that as a backdrop, I would like to say thank you and focus on another positive I witnessed recently.
I was able to attend the London game, because I was in London due to work. I want to say thank you to the cheerleaders and the Broncos staff for doing a great job with the fan photo at Piccadilly and the pre-game party at the Sports Cafe. That was my first interaction with the Broncos cheer-leading squad, and I can say they are GREAT ambassadors for the Broncos organization.

Champ is the man! And God bless the other players and cheerleeders who do so much for our community. No words can describe what Dawk gives out to families in need. WOW! Major blessing to you all!!
It is always refreshing to see professional athletes understand the importance of charity. Not only with monetary means but it means a whole heck of a lot to get out and spend time with people.
I also appreciate the work and effort our cheerleaders do for the community.

One thing I’ll say about Champ is that he is fine example of a professional. I admire him, and respect how he has handled this 2011 season.
Champ is a class act. The best thing we could have done this year was left his contract on the table. Whooooops… another big mistake by the Broncos. Good luck next year Champ wherever you play.
