Hi Broncos Fans! Who would have thought the Broncos, who were 1-4 at the beginning of this season, would be in the playoffs and on their way to play the Patriots this weekend in Foxborough?! This being my rookie year, I am so extremely lucky and happy to have been at the Broncos first playoff game in six years and witness them achieve such an amazing victory against the Steelers. This game was one for the history books.
Every Broncos fanatic I have spoken to after the game on Jan. 8 has told me it was the most amazing game the Broncos have ever played. It was such as amazing game because not only did the Broncos win, but the support the team had at the game from Broncos fans was unbelievable. The roar of the stadium at the start of overtime as Demaryius Thomas caught Tim Tebow’s 80-yard pass to win the game brought chills to my body. As I looked up into the stadium, I have never seen such a sight. Broncos Fans were on their feet dancing in celebration. No one was in a rush to leave the stadium after that play, and the players were rushing to the field to share the moment with their teammates after such an amazing victory. But it didn’t stop there. After the players huddled in the middle of the field, they rushed to their fans and went around the field to celebrate with all the fans who stuck around till the end.
As the celebration continued I looked at my fellow cheerleaders and all of them shared the same emotion that I was feeling… tears of joy! We couldn’t believe what had just happened. Even though the game was over and our duties as cheerleaders were done, we didn’t want to leave the field. We stayed and continued to dance and celebrate the moment together as teammates and with the fans. For everyone on our team, it was the first time in a long time the Broncos had won a playoff game and we were a part of it. We didn’t want that moment to end.
The Broncos victory against the Steelers wasn’t the only moment of the game that brought tears of joy — the national anthem and halftime performance also brought those emotions to the field. A huge surprise for all the Broncos fans at Sports Authority Field at Mile High was when Rascal Flatts came to sing the National Anthem. It was a perfect way to start the game when the giant American flag came across the field and the jets flew above the stadium while they sang. It was an absolute beautiful moment.
Then during halftime, the talented Jesse James came back to Sports Authority Field at Mile High to perform. The Broncos brought in hundreds of dancers to perform alongside her and the Broncos Cheerleaders. The first song she performed was ‘When You Say My Name’, her upcoming single off of her new album. The special part about the halftime show however was the second song Jesse performed, Military Man, which she dedicated to her father who was a colonel in the military. During her performance, men and women stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs who recently returned home from Iraq on their fourth tour came onto the field and were met by their loved ones. It was a humbling moment to be among those heroes who served our country and made it home safe and sound.
Overall the Broncos win against the Steelers will always be engraved into my mind. I am so proud to be a part of such an amazing organization and I hope the Broncos can bring what they brought to Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Jan. 8 to Boston this weekend against the Patriots. As John Fox said, “People said you couldn’t, people said you can’t, and you did!” GO BRONCOS and DO IT AGAIN!

Another LB would be fine in my book. I believe we desperately need a CB in one of the top 3 rounds.
Btw, our cheerleaders have more likes than Dallas’ squad.. Pass it around, let’s pad the lead:

Ahh.. You have to copy and paste the entire link, didn’t work for some reason… Classic! Lol
Let’s go Broncos! Can’t wait until the game, I should’ve went to Foxborough. I had a grueling week though… Oh well at least I know that the blog will be represented out there.
We really need to play disciplined ball today. When we do pass I think Willis may be able to get open as they will most likely be looking at bay-bay and Royal. The only thing that Willis needs to do is REACH-OUT for the ball, he needs to extend his arms for the catch unlike what he did when we played the Chiefs by losing that reception by trying to bring the catch into his body.
The trenches ARE the game today (well every game, but especially in cold weather games) whoever controls the trenches; controls the game. If we can play physical up front it’ll give us the greatest advantage. Lets let Brady know that he’s not omnipotent and put his behind on the turf! Rattle him and he may throw up some ducks.
On offense I hope McCoy and Fox will get away from being completely circumspect, I mean they have to stay grounded but still open it up a lil bit when the opportunities present themselves, guess that the old cliché works in this sense ’take what the defense gives you’. I do not want to see a repeat of the Patriot imbroglio that we had earlier this year. Let’s force the Patsys offense to capitulate to the DOOM & GLOOM!
I think Tebow may have gained a little confidence vs the Steelers and as long as he remains acumen in his process of throwing the ball we have a great chance to come away with a W.

BRONC ON STRAND!!!!
Broncos run run. & run. Time of possession & stout defense wins.
Well folks at Defcom 5 on the nerves scale. Think we can do it. This has been a ridiculous season by all acounts. No matter what happens very proud of this team. The coaches and players all of them. No one man got us here and no one man will win it tonite. This is a team in every sense of the word. Indvidually we have not got the greatest squad. But together we are more than the sum of our parts. Thats why I know we can win. No turnovers and this game will be close.
I feel like I am in Apollo 13. We are about to go through the atmosphere and find out if the heat shield holds. In stead of 4 minutes of silence we have 4 quarters of noise. On that note to all on the blog “it has been a pleasure flying with you all”
GO BRONCOS
Crappola!
This better be the last week, LOL.
Literally thousands of posts for me to go through in just the last three days.
Insane!
However I got the job done, here is the tally for this one:
41 think we’ll win
7 think we won’t
Good luck to everybody!
Just back in time to watch the first playoff game!
Just a little anecdote you might enjoy before football time:
My car had been parked for a couple of days at the marina in what has been some pretty brutal wheather for us, upper twenties the last couple of nights, and my wife told me the park ranger called her yesterday to make sure I was ok since the boat and I were gone or if they should send a rescue crew out, to which my wife replied “If my husband is not back in tomorrow for the Broncos’ game then we should send all able bodies out looking for me, but as of now everything is ok” LMAO!
Thats a woman who knows her man well. Love the story Bay! Enjoy the game mate just poured myself a glass and should be in peak condition for game start 1.00am Belfast time.
Bay, you are blessed. Enjoy your Broncos!!
THREE MORE HOURS! GOOOOO BRONCOS!!!!!!!
I`m expecting another big upset for tonight. Broncos all the way!!!!
Well, I am a season ticket holder to the Colorado Mammoth and tonight is the season opener along with a retirement ceremony, so I can’t miss the game. Thus I won’t be watching my Broncos. However, I will be following the score on the many TVs around the Pepsi Center, on my phone, and probably the jumbotron.
So, I’m wearing the Mammoth jersey with my Broncos shirt underneath, close to my heart, still bleeding the Orange and Blue.
GO BRONCOS!!!!
hahahaha Bay that is great
Good luck to all in Bronco Country… I am nervous, I belive broncos can win but still nervous. I am in Wales with the family for the weekend and have just realised that I wont be able to see the game tonight BUMMER…
I hope you all enjoy it for me……
GO BRONCOS
I hope coach Allen has a great plan for limiting Brady tonight..I think we WILL limit the turnovers given how costly they were last time..
First of all, I am glad to finally see a blog by you here, Patricia.
Like you, I will most definitely never forget that Demaryius Thomas TD reception from Tim Tebow in that 2011 AFC Wildcard Playoff Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers for as long as I live.
On the other hand, too bad the Broncos were pretty much destroyed by the Patriots in that 2011 AFC Divisional Playoff Game. I personally wonder if playing outside in the frigidly cold conditions in Foxborough, Massachusetts that evening may have played a role in the Broncos defeat or not (because it was most likely weather that the Broncos would not be used to playing outside in Denver).
I will just close by saying that you are my favourite Denver Broncos Cheerleader from here on in, Patricia (and maybe 2012 will turn out to be a much better season for the Broncos as well).
GO BRONCOS!!!
