Hi Broncos Country!
I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season so far. Despite the recent cold weather, this is most definitely my favorite time of the year!
My name is Kara and this is my second year as a DBC. This season has been so exciting and full of amazing memories so far. This past Monday night added to these memories as I was able to share being a part of an incredible cause with a few of my teammates. Wesley Woodyard hosted the Third Annual 16Ways Foundation’s Toy Drive. The event aimed to collect as many toys as possible that will be given to children that otherwise would not receive gifts on Christmas.
My teammate Lauren and I started off the evening by gathering the gifts that people were bringing in and placing them around the tree. It was amazing to see the overwhelming amount of support and generosity that people had in providing the toys. After about 15 minutes of organizing the gifts, one of the volunteers told me that the amount of toys was already double what was donated last year. Although I was not at the drive last year, this did not surprise me, as every time Lauren and I turned around, more and more people were coming in and handing us toys.
This is one of the very reasons why I love this time of the year so much. To experience and see the generosity that our community has is such a privilege and unbelievably humbling. It is a reminder of how gracious the Broncos fan base is, and I sincerely believe that Denver has the best fans in the NFL. Not only are you all so loyal to the team, but you continue to show your generosity and commitment to making Denver such a great place. I wish you all a safe and joyful holiday season! Go Broncos!

Thanks for the memories Daddy, I remember all those terms, and as a restorer of cars and bikes I still own a few. I also still remember Frank Zappa.
DB, read this and you will see how JDR is making that exact tactic very difficult.

No Ray Lewis is a good thing, but it’s even better that we prepared for him all week.
I own 29 Zappa LPs in my record collection, maybe that helps you see how demented I really am, LOL.
RH709 I love that article about Dumervil. Thank you for helping me understand.
No problem. I like the guys at IAOFM. They know their stuff.
I predict that Knoshon Moreno will run for over 100 yards. He’ll also catch a pass for a TD.
I buy that Bay as long as you know that every therapist is his own #1 patient.
As proof: Tonight is a John Wayne night…you can keep your Hobbits!!! LOL Seya wader…
DB! What is your favorite John Wayne movie? Mine is True Grit, then propbably McLintock…
Turtle and Daddy, I liked McClintok but my favorite was when he was McQ and Branningan.
Im rewatching the TB game from two weeks ago. I gotta ssy, Malick Jackson doesnt see the field a lot but when he does he does good work. He lines up as a DT and as a DE and the dudes motor never quits. Very impressive. Yhis guy is the very definision of solid depth.
Ive seen him mostly use a power/bull rush but he pulled one nice spin move to contain Freeman too.
Also, Danny T is fast and gets to the ball.
I think this has been another solid draft by Elway.
Boldin isnt the greatest in coverage yet but he is an unreal special teamer. Just like Bruton.
P.s. If Hillmsn puts on 5-10 lbs this offseason and continues what he does thus far…yall will forget not getting Doug Martin real quick. yeah thats an “if” but I think its a decently dolid one.
True Grit!
Cat, I know you like the Dumerville article discussing the wide nine. it looked like that formation was spotty most of the game. Denver would mostly run it on third and long until the fourth quarter when th TB game was already out of hand. In the fourth quarter you saw it almost every play causeit was obvious TB was going to pass every down.
Also, Dumerville has dropped into coverage at least twice from the wide nine look.
We watched ‘the Shootist’ tonight.
I like all of those with Mareen O’hara – McLintock, the ‘Fort’ trilogy, the Quiet Man, etc. – because I can get my wife to watch those with me.
True Grit and Rooster Cogburn are the best…
Was there a bad one after the ‘B’ movie era?
Wolfe – wasn’t McQ at the beginning of the ‘car chase – crash’ era. They were a bit cheesy but JW was def. larger than life. I think I own McQ – I’ll have to go look. I don’t think I’ve watched that in ten + years.
You’re probably about right on the time line. I liked the westerns but, like Eastwood, I liked the mysteries. True Grit is one of my least favorites. Not because of JW but his co-star. He and O’Hara were the best. So funny, OK, I’m going to go watch it now.
Nice Wolf! I love JW, I’m also a big fan of Eastwood in the ‘Spaghetti Western’ era… my favorite Western out of any is by far ‘The Outlaw Josie Whales’… I watched it so many times growing up I wore out a video tape…
Sndvl, you still thinking about making a trip to Denver in January?
Hey strand.Having not been a football fan in ’83 I can only look into record books. After looking into the yearbook that the administrators(thanks Gray)put up,I have come to the conclusion that Elway did NOT win that game,as the CS Gazette reports.Elway did start the game but DeBerg came in and scored the touchdowns that gave us the lead. One passing and he ran one in.I have not had the privilege of watching that game as I did not become a footbal/Elway/Broncos fan until ’89 so,there may be more that I didn’t get to see that leads people to believe it was an Elway comeback. As much as I hate taking anything away from Elway, looking on paper,I have to call the CS Gazette report misinformed or something else.
Don’t really care how we get it done but let’s get it DONE!Clip those birds wings!Send them to a three game skid.
Off to the game.Hope evryone gets to enjoy watching/listening to the game.GO BRONCOS!!!!!
My Favorite is “The Cowboy’s”
with Roscoe Lee Browne, and Slim Pickens.
Yikes… As if we need any more reasons to be thankful we are Broncos fans:

It will be interesting to see Derek Wolfe and Courtney Upshaw in the same game today!
Just in case you are interested it’s Dumervil the player, not Dumerville the town (ville = town in french).
Game day, darn, yet another early one, those are killing my drinking schedule, LOL, still have to go to the sports bar though, really exciting to finally feel like we have a shot in Baltimore, I don’t really know how to act…
Hope you still get to go TRB, your first Bronco game, imagine that, you will never forget.
GO BRONCOS!!!
Well Done Wesley Woodyard! I hope you can go today. Some ones gotta cover Pitta!
Man! The Linbackers got thier hands full with Ray Rice and Bernard Pearce. Those two are quite the one two punch.
I’m lookin for Knowshow to have a Great game to counter… if The Oline can move the pile that is.
I think the Safties are gonna have to play thier best game of the year for The Broncos to pull this out.
I’m hoping Bruton has a Great Game today, it’s gonna be a close one.
Den 20-17 Bal, just sayin…
TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !
GO BRONCOS ! ! !
DB, today is my wife’s B-Day, I know you like her.
Interesting to note, both Joe Flacco and Mike Adams went to the University of Delaware.
If anyone missed this, check it out.. It’s so great to have two young defenders be so respectful, and speak so highly of two of the great players in the game today. I can see the touch being passed to them – to the benefit of all in Broncos Country!
