Cheerleaders: Recapping Exciting Appearances

September 9th, 2011 - 5:36pm by cheerleaders

Hi Broncos fans! Hope everyone is getting back from a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend with friends, family, and fellow Broncos fans! I enjoyed my Broncos filled weekend with cheerleader appearances at both the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo and Taste of Colorado here in Denver.

My name is Margaret Foy and I am enjoying my second year as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader. The new opportunities this season has offered me so far have taken me across the state of Colorado to meet Broncos fans. I had the honor of representing our Denver Broncos as one of the cheerleaders on our Broncos Caravan Tour in June. Pueblo was one of our stops on the tour, I thought I had an idea of what to expect from our fans there but after the weekend at the State Fair – Man did I underestimate! The response we received in Pueblo while debuting our 2011 calendar was overwhelming! Everyone was so excited and supportive and it was a great reminder that some of our biggest fans are in Pueblo! We rode in the parade with our Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and saw lots of orange and blue lining the streets of Pueblo.

Our Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders did a great job cheering, dancing, and getting Southern Colorado geared up for football season! When I returned to Denver for the Taste of Colorado Festival, I loved seeing so many people sporting their Broncos gear at Civic Center Park. From spending the weekend with Broncos fans I can report one thing….Broncos Country is back to football, painting the state orange and blue for the Monday night home opener!

To open the 2011 season, Denver will host the nationally televised Monday Night Football matchup against the rivaled Oakland Raiders! Notoriously, teams showcase their promising draft talent and team potential, and we know how exciting that will be in our house. Kyle Orton and our starting lineup are looking great and how rousing has Von Miller’s preseason performance been? The big game is less than a week away Broncos Country and I have to ask….are you ready for some football?!?

I did some research on just how special Monday night’s spotlight is so we can continue gearing up for football. I’m sure a lot of you know that Monday Night Football is one of the longest running and highest-rated prime time television series’ ever. But did you also know:

  • Monday Night Football can be seen in Canada on TSN and RIS, and in most of Europe on ESPN America.
  • The game has been aired on ESPN UK since 2010 and is televised in most of Australia, Portugal, and Denmark.
  • A Spanish language version airs on ESPN Deportes in the U.S. and on ESPN International in Latin America.
  • The games are also made available on regular over-the-air television stations in each participating team’s local market and online so that households without cable television can still see the telecast.
  • So this is BIG Broncos Country and we need to represent!

Now, knowing all this about the coveted Monday Night Football coverage and that Denver and Oakland have been matched up 15 times as a Monday night pairing! 15 times, Broncos fans! Obviously this is an exciting matchup, and many of these previous games were decided by seven points or less. From cheering on the sidelines last season, one thing I know that makes a huge difference in close games is the energy created within the stadium and city leading up to the game.

So Broncos Country, let’s be sure to paint the state orange and blue for MNF’s big matchup. Guys, put on your Broncos jerseys, hats, throwback T-shirts, and ties for work this week. Ladies get football ready in that awesome NFL line at Victoria’s Secret’s. Fans – get out in Denver this week to warn those Raiders fans that they will be in our house Monday night and that we are ready for some Monday Night Football! GO BRONCOS!

      Give me a B. Give me a R. Give me an O. Give me a N. Give me a C. Give me another O. Give me a S. What’s that spell?

VonDoom and company are going to make the opposition wish they stayed on the plane and send them back to their cesspool with patches on both eyes, while our revamped run game gives them a taste of what we endured last season. While a surprise TD by DMT seals their loss and first win for the BRONCOS in the EFX era.
(Actually it spells BRONCOS. I made that last part up. Forgot this was a cheerleader blog).

Great job ladies. Get that crowd fired up. Have a great game!

GO BRONCOS in 2011, Return of the Mile High Magic!!!!!!!!!!!

      Wow, slow blog nite…

Guess I’ll just talk to myself, here, then.

Just read that the Raiders feel confident despite the combination of Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller. This after Hue Jackson called the pair some of the best pass rushers in the league. Confidence is one thing, realism is another. Campbell should be worried. Very Worried.

And if McFadden thinks that he and his cronies are gonna avoid the dynamic duo and simply scoot on up the middle, they’ve got another thing coming. My man Joe Mays is gonna be there to rattle some teeth with his bone-crushing hits.

OOOOHHHHH…. I just can’t wait ’till Monday Night Football!

    6. strandoftds says:

I`ll wear my Tebow #15 proudly for MNF.

RO……I agree bro Mays is a freaking Beast, and can lay the wood!!!!!!

who in the heck is the Navy Plaza Blog???

bay I agree #s are nothing but #s,but I think the 90s are better suited for DL,and the 50s are better suited for LBs!

And 80s are better suited for WRs like you said!!!

Single digits and teens suit QBs!!
20s and 30s suit the DBs and RBs/FBs!

    8. BeastFromEast92 says:

strand,I’ll wear my Tebow Orange jersey proudly Monday Night too!!!
If I’m at the pub and get in a fight….well it won’t be the 1st time…haha!

    14. RabidOrange says:

BFE, McFadden hasn’t played this preseason because of a face thing. I think it was a broken bone or something. I can’t imagine that getting rocked by Mays is going to make that feel much better…

TODAY MIDNIGHT BLOG TIME IS THE DEADLINE FOR SEASON RECORD PREDICTIONS, no exceptions!

    44. baylinorcrush says:

      Late last night injury report:

The only change from Thursday was for wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who did not practice. Thomas went through the whole workout in pads on Thursday, his first padded practice since late last season. Thomas tore his Achilles tendon in an offseason workout and has spent the past seven months recovering from surgery.

After the Broncos practice ended around 1 p.m., head coach John Fox declined to discuss anything about Thomas’ absence from practice.

      Weird!

The other players listed on the Broncos injury report are defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley (knee) right guard Chris Kuper (toe), wide receiver Matthew Willis (toe), safety Quinton Carter (hamstring) and safety David Bruton (shoulder), and all were listed as full participants in Friday’s practice.

The Broncos will hold another practice on Saturday morning, after which (well, at some point, we hope) the team will release official game status for injured players — probable, questionable, doubtful, or out. Among those expected to be ruled out are defensive tackles Marcus Thomas and Ty Warren and linebacker D.J. Williams, each of whom has not practiced this week.

    45. baylinorcrush says:

Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who is recovering from offseason Achilles tendon surgery, did not participate in Friday’s practice after working some with the scout team earlier in the week. Thomas will not play Monday against the Raiders and is likely still several weeks from being ready to return for a game.

Maybe Fox is not answering questions about Demaryius because he is re-thinking the not putting him on the PUP list? And what about Warren? Everyone knows he can’t get back in for the very least the 6 weeks that the PUP requires you to be out before you can be brought back in.
So why not have him on there so we can bring in another body for 6 weeks? It’s like Fox is fixated on not wanting to bring anybody new in, weird, all that makes no sense at all to me.

      Maybe I’m missing something….

    46. baylinorcrush says:

      But what?

    47. alexanserg says:

Didn’t warren practice some with us this season, thus preventing him from being put on pup?

    48. baylinorcrush says:

Legwold is stating what I said all along that Tebow didn’t do the necessary work to get better this off season so he has only himself to blame for where he is at, which I took a lot of flack for and obviously it was not deserved, but bloggers will be bloggers….:

Make no mistake, the Broncos are still on the hunt for a franchise quarterback, even with Tebow on the roster. They scouted heavily and in person at pro days all of the top quarterback prospects in the 2011 draft and will do so again in 2012, given the class of quarterbacks next spring is already considered far better than this past year.

Stanford’s Luck, USC’s Barkley and Oklahoma’s Landry Jones sit atop the class with a select few others who could be first-round picks as well. But Luck, on and off the field, just may be the best all-around, pro-ready prospect at the position since Peyton Manning entered the league in 1998.

Tebow’s future, at least in some ways, is up to him. He really needs to do what Brady Quinn did this past offseason.

Work with quarterback coaches, either the Broncos or some he hires, all through the offseason, on his footwork, anticipation and the ability to work through the progressions on pass plays. He’s mobile and can run himself out of trouble, but his ability to be the team’s starter over the long-term is hitched to how he plays from the pocket.

And whether anyone believes that it doesn’t matter because that’s what Elway believes it takes to win a championship. And Elway is A) the boss and B) a quarterback who is in the Hall of Fame having won two championships and having said “those championships were won from the pocket.”

    49. baylinorcrush says:

That could be what I’m missing, be nice to know the exact rule on that.
