Greetings Broncos Country! Lindy C. of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders here, happily writing to you all in the midst of this fantastic Broncos season.
In the spirit of youth participation in our Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleader and All-Stars programs, the Broncos Cheerleaders hosted the first annual DBC Spirit Showdown on November 10th at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The event featured performances from all of the All-Star teams and the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders.
To further incorporate Colorado’s vast number of participants in youth spirit and dance, the Broncos Cheerleaders also invited both high school and all-star cheer and dance teams to compete. The turnout was great! Joshua Allen, the Season Four Winner of “So You Think You Can Dance!,” and former Broncos Cheerleader LeighAnn Macias were two of the featured guest judges of the competition.
Prizes for the champion teams from each division included an invitation to dance with the Broncos Cheerleaders at halftime of an upcoming Broncos home game. In addition, Joshua and LeighAnn offered a master class for all competition participants at Sports Authority Field the day after the event, which also drew a fantastic showing.
The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders will be hosting this event once again in November 2013. We are hopeful to have even more of Colorado’s cheer and dance teams in attendance, as this year’s installment was clearly a smashing success!

Haha Strand! I wasnt even a thought but I was watching Star Wars as a baby as from what ive been told its the only thing that would get me to stop crying and the love for it just stayed over the years!
Hilarious.
The fiancee likes Star Wars too which is why I was able to get Star Wars names lol but she picked the middle names she wanted and I had to give up picking first names for if/when we have any more kids in the future.
Where’d everybody go?? – Christmas shopping?? …
The Raven’s game is CRUCIAL – if we win, we’re pretty well set … if we lose – well, probably
just like last year … but the NFL in the final 3 weeks is always a crap shoot … always some
crazy goings on … so we’ll see …
Our draft position next year will really test Mr Elway … we’ll draft late (hopefully last) and
by then the really smart one’s win out … I like to think of it as us having no 1st round
selection, but then the 1st selection in all rounds after that … looking at it that way, it
doesn’t seem so bad …
DB – I have to have cataract surgery on Jan 4 next year … I only have one good eye, so
I need this to work, or my life is really going to change … I don’t want to have to “watch”
the Broncos by braille …
It was gratifying to see Mr Moreno do well on Thursday night … he came well prepared …
bet he was sore on Friday … but a GOOD sore … the Broncos haven’t really looked very
good the past few weeks – always something to keep them from a “perfect” game … but
because of Mr Manning, and Mr Miller, we’re really GOOD this year, and are able to win
because of our overall prowess … who’d have thought it … speaking of Mr Miller, his fine
for the hit on the Bucs QB wasn’t really flagrant – I think he got screwed by the fine … it
looked to me as if, just by virtue of how that rush went, he either tripped or was knocked
into the QB, and ended up at his feet … anyway, he’s NOT a dirty player, just a very ag-
ressive one … much to our benefit …
This is a LONG week – my wife and I are going to see “The Life of Pi” tomorrow – it’s in
3D, but I can’t see the 3D, so she’s agreed to just see the regular version … I’m told it’s
a fantastic movie … I’ll do a critique …
Go Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!
Turtle and Alaskan – in 1977, I arrived late to the San Diego showing of Star Wars – when I purchased
my ticket, I was told it was the last one … I raced into the theatre to try to find that last seat – I found
it about half way down the right-center aisle, right on the isle, just the seat I would have chosen if the
theatre had been empty … what a GREAT movie … boy, the lines for that movie went around the
theatre for weeks that summer …
Another movie I had a “last” experience was at a showing of “Hairspray”, the first version, with Rikki
Lake and John Waters … when I went to purchase my ticket, I was told the movie was sold out … they
were just letting the crowd into that movie, so I purchased a ticket to another movie at the multiplex,
and got into that line … I found one of the last seats, and then heard the usher with some girl trying
to find the seat she had bought … of course, all seats were taken … I felt like an ass, but not bad
enough to give up my seat … I really shouldn’t have, but I did enjoy the movie … but like a lot of bad
stuff we do in life, that one will probably forever stand out in my memory …
I don’t often go to movies alone, but those were two I did do that …
Wiemin:
Had cataract surgery on both eyes a few weeks apart a few years ago. If you surgeon is any good, you’ve nothing to worry about. The eye drops can be a real pain, but the difference is vision is all worth it.
Good luck on your surgery Wiemin!
Congrats to Johnny Manziel for winning the Heisman! Well deserved… the kid is fun to watch!
Hi OSS! How’s your weekend?
Johnny Manziel!!!!!

Von for DPOY!!!
Sorry about the eye problem Wiemin. I’ll put you on our prayer list for Jan 4. I assume that means you’re not playing any softball right now? I was getting back in shape and was making good headway – got under 185 lbs. – and then I injured my knee…again… They don’t want to do surgery. They are telling me to get fat again while it heals…or something like that. LOL
Also had cataract surgery on both eyes about a week apart. went from very poor vision to not having to wear glasse’s at all except to read. Passed my drivers exam and cdl exam with no vision correction. wonderful results.
in this years draft, we need a DT, MLB, OG, RB, WR(slot), this is not in order
i want a Tavon Austin!!
Hey Turtle. It wasnt me. I didnt jump/fall. I made it out of Oakland alive. my wife and I had a blast at the game. The people around us were actually pretty cool but Im sure thats cause we had club seats.
WieminCA, I worked in the Optical field over 22 years and just want to encourage you in knowing that it’s a pretty simple procedure and only takes about 20 minutes per eye. As your Doctor may have told you, Cataracts are hardened calcium in the eye. Not to worry. Hang in there, you will not be disappointed when the surgery is over. Just a little heads up.
does Marijuana help with cataracts?
I was starting to worry about you RH…Happy it wasn’t you!!!
Lol thanks DB. I took Friday off too to go Xmas shopping with the wife while our kids were at daycare.
Then I road my dirtnike today and had a extremely rough get off.
Id link the gopro footage but it has some vulgar language when I hit the ground.
BT: It’s been a pretty calm weekend so far. I keep hoping for some snow. What little snow wev’e had is long gone. Very bad foir the Great Lakes and a financial disaster for the many businesses in the UP that depend on the snowmoble industry for a major part of their income.
As of today, Colorado got it’s first real snow. There’s about 4 inches of snow on my driveway. Time to get that shovel out. LOL
For any Broncos fan who wants a great read on the Denver Post, Woody Paige wrote a really cool article on the playoff scenarios for the rest of the season. He’s comical in some areas and there are a few things Woody addressed that I never had taken into account. Just a few things I over looked and didn’t even think of. It’s one of the best articles Ive read by Woody. If your excited about the playoff scenarios that can be achieve by our beloved Broncos, it’s a must read. It’ll get those juices flowing.
BRONCOS 2012!!!!!!!
B-R-O-N-C-O-S BRONCOS BRONCOS BRONCOS!!!
Happy Gameday minus the Game!
RH glad you are back safe and sound!
OSS, We are also feeling the lack of snow in my little town, as it is driven by tourism and for the first time in 30+ years they have canceled the local Ice Fishing Derby do to lack of Ice…
Wiemin, who is your favorite Star Wars Character?
We need a Ravens loss today by the hands of RG3 and the master mind of HC Ole Shanny.
AB… I think last week the Pats pretty much ran the ball at will on the Dolphins, especially on the last drive of the game when they chose to run 13 out of 16 plays, a majority of those were directly over left gaurd or straight power runs, marching down the field to ice the game and run out the clock. I think the true measure of a Run game is’ can you run when they know you are going to run’, and the Pats seem to stuff it down whoever’s throat they want
I only mention this because the matchup I’m most interested in is how the OL/DL from HOU matches with that of NE. Those were battles our team definitely lost in the Trenches in both games
Who do you think wins the HOU/NE game if you had to place a wager?
The Dolphins did a real good job containing Brady only allowing him 213 Net Passing yards…
