Greetings Broncos Country! Lindy C. of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders here, happily writing to you all in the midst of this fantastic Broncos season.
In the spirit of youth participation in our Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleader and All-Stars programs, the Broncos Cheerleaders hosted the first annual DBC Spirit Showdown on November 10th at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The event featured performances from all of the All-Star teams and the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders.
To further incorporate Colorado’s vast number of participants in youth spirit and dance, the Broncos Cheerleaders also invited both high school and all-star cheer and dance teams to compete. The turnout was great! Joshua Allen, the Season Four Winner of “So You Think You Can Dance!,” and former Broncos Cheerleader LeighAnn Macias were two of the featured guest judges of the competition.
Prizes for the champion teams from each division included an invitation to dance with the Broncos Cheerleaders at halftime of an upcoming Broncos home game. In addition, Joshua and LeighAnn offered a master class for all competition participants at Sports Authority Field the day after the event, which also drew a fantastic showing.
The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders will be hosting this event once again in November 2013. We are hopeful to have even more of Colorado’s cheer and dance teams in attendance, as this year’s installment was clearly a smashing success!

That’s what I meant mono, seems like overkill. I know Gronk contributes on special teams, and it will be interesting to see Hester’s role, as know he is productive on specials as well. Hopefully it won’t deminish that ‘jumbo’ formation with Unrien!
Actually I never had anything against N-Y, been in Manhattan twice and up state all the way to the Canadian border and enjoyed all those times, plus you guys hosted Woodstock, how bad could you be, LOL.
Traded for Gronk not signed. We sent the Colts Cassius Vaughn for him. All Gronk has done has been ok on ST.
I love seeing Unrein in there at fullback. Our version of William “Refrigerator” Perry of the Bears way back or how the Packers used BJ Raji couple years ago the year they won the SB
Anyone hear about the Cards not NFL fining Darnell Dockett 200K? I guess it was for arguing with other players for what the HC said about letting the Jets score late so Cards could get the ball back with a chance to tie.
Just my thought about what BT and OT have been talking about with the future of the game is that there are always going to be kids-adults who want to play the game as long as there is the game will survive on all levels and is it not better to have the kids playing for actual teams with pads instead of tackle football at the park without any pads?
The fact it whenever your having athletes running about hitting and tackling each other your going to have injuries and them having pads and helmets is a lot safer then theses kids playing without. As long as people are wanting to play the game the game will go on.
Just my thought.
I dislike Willis and I have for a while. The fact is like BT said he has always been just the 4th WR. All season long he hasnt done much of anything (Except for a handful of good ST plays) and his one catch the other night doesnt change his mediocre play for the majority of the season. Everyone says he has speed yet (Not sure why) Fox Manning and McCoy have never designed offensive plays for him to show it. That just makes me think either he has slowed for some reason or there is something else that is holding him back.
If one catch can change the play of the season then why is no one talking about Caldwell? He had a very good catch as well and it was his first of the season.
For those looking at the draft early (and even those who dont but watch a lot of college ball) what RB would you want most?
*Eddie Lacy Bama, Montee Ball Wiscony, Stephan Taylor Stanford, *Le’Von Bell Michigan State, or Christine Michael Texas A&M?
(* is underclassman)
Hi AB…
Here is a caveat to the ‘There will alway be people to play’ arguement… This country will only support one football league, reference USFL, World League, XFL etc… Ticket prices for todays game implicate that we will be watching premium players playing premium football…
When the XFL’ers of the world (excluding ‘He Hate Me’) are the ones that are the main show the interest will waine and so will the advertising dollars which means contracts will shrink etc etc, and what we will be left with is a basta/rdized version of what use to be the greatest game on earth…
There may always be people to play the game, but if the players aren’t the very best it just won’t be NFL Football
Crazy about Dockett, I read it was the Cards that fined him not the league and he is using the Union to appeal
AB I looked up Minter, the guy you mentioned earlier and I wouldn’t have any complaints if he was a mid to late round pick of the Broncos next spring
Also from LSU I really like the DB number 6… can’t think of his name, but from what I’ve watched he is a playmaker also
BT that much is very true. If they arnt the best it wont be the same. But there is no way to tell if they are the best or not if others are choosing or not being allowed to have played by parents. There are still kids as young as 5 to as old as 17 getting into football despite the game being unsafe. Parents keep their kids from playing its there choice but if those kids really want to play they will find a way to play. To me its just safer to allow them to play as part of an organized team with what safety equipment being used instead of no equipment.
And yes the Cards fined him and the NFLPA as soon as they heard about it started filing an appeal.
Thank for reminding me BT but thanks Mello for your thought about Minter. Same to you BT.
I looked at the kid and wouldnt mind it either. He looked talented and think he can go anywhere from mid/late 2nd to early 4th after the combine and what not. Which is where for the most part he is ranked.
I will have to look him up BT.
Craig Loston is the DB’s name
17 of the 19 Sacks Denver has allowed has been with OG Chris Kuper out.
Here’s a third perspective on the Pick. I’m pretty sure that the ball was touched by a defender just as it released out of Peyton’s hand causing the under thrown pass, so really the INT wasn’t Manning’s or Willis’s fault….
On another topic you all were talking about Unrein being a UW guy. Did you all know that Zane Beadles was born in Casper, Wyoming.
On yet another topic. How come the NFL seems to own the concussions injuries for dudes that played tackle football from pee-wee, middle school, high school and through college.. How come none of these programs are in the sights of the concussion issues? By the time these guys get to the NFL they are ALL already damaged goods and have willingly sacrificed their bodies for the love of the game..
I have a close friend of mine that is in his mid-thirties that has played on a local Rugby team for years and he pays his own medical bills and sacrifices his own body year after year for the love of the game.
I blame 90% of the concussion law suit against the NFL on greedy ex-players and families of ex-players….. And Lawyers!! LOL
Alaska- Theo Riddick ND
You make a good point OC. I was actually talking about concussions & High School football earlier today. With a lawyer!
Fair point OC…
HOWEVER the real greed lies with the NFL Owners and their lawyers that have advised them to cover up critical info about Repetitive concusive activity… the dangers of repeated Concussions has been well known to the league for over two decades and yet they swept it under the rug to maintain the status quo of the appearanc of safety to continue to pad their bottom line with advertising dollars…
The onus can hardly be put on the ex-player or their families and to call them ‘Greedy’ to want a piece of what they sacrificed to help build I think is a little/alot off base
The damages the families and thier lawyers are seeking are more punitive for the league withholding life altering data in order to maintain the profit levels that owners are use to…
I can’t blame the player, and just like everything as the league changes it’s policies and releases critical info then the subsidiaries such as College/High School/PeeWee will all begin to change the policies that govern the activity, but the fault is with the league and the owners

Again – Pats are the team to beat!
HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!HOUSTON!!!
I’ll have to look at the play again. My first thought on the Manning INT was that the football was under thrown due to a pressure rush by the raiders. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that it was Willis’s fault. Blame that play on the O-line and Manning. IMO
You’re welcome alaska! BT you’re talking about the Saftey…Craig Loston or maybe the SS #1 Eric Reid. If you are talking about Reid then you are talking about an animal. He will lay the wood down but in a smart way. I’ve seen him getting ready to lay someone out but was aware enough to pull up bc he knew the ball was nowhere near the guy. I wouldn’t mind us getting Mingo or Montgomery from the DL but those dudes are high first rounders.
Houston, you’ve got a problem!! LOL
Look at the slow mo Strand – That ball should not have been brought out to the 20. Willis downed him at the 3 inch line.
Of the RB’s coming out of the draft I’d like Stephan Taylor from Stanford. He’s a jack of all trades type of RB with good size and speed.
I want one of the RB’s with 28″ thighs. We already have enough dancers!!!
I didn’t record the game, so I’d have to catch it on ESPN or NFLN. Oh well.
Piano recitals today…see ya.
Stephan Taylor is a sound blocker too.
NFL.com has it as ‘Adams intercepts Manning’. They run it from three angle but the last is from behind Willis in slow motion. You can pause frame by frame. It’s clear
It’s irrelevant now, and we won the game. Time to move on.
With Kuper on the O-line thats a TD.
No problem moving on from the game…It’s much harder to move on from the “replay booth” habitual errors.
Agreed – that pressure wouldn’t have been there!
but then Willis woulda had a TD and Cat might have to start liking Willis and….and….
LOL. You still picking on her?! CAT has sharp claws Daddy. LOL
Lol DB if Willis made that TD I still don’t think Cat would like him lol
Sndvl I like Reddick but I think he would be better as a Slot WR more than a RB.
Strand Taylor is my 2nd favorite RB in the NCAA. Barber from Oregon is my favorite. But for what we need Taylor fits the saddle
I have a thick hide – I can’t help myself – I’m allergic to kitties but I still pet them!!!
Ball isn’t to bad either. I know little about Barber. I’ll have to look him up.
Montee Ball is good very talented. I have a buddy who his to Wisconsin and all he does is talk about Montee
Thats cool. Good to know.
Lol hit submit before I was done. Anyways he says from when he does see Ball around he always has his play book open when he has free time and actually was helping a defensive player learn the play book and understand the coaches terminology. That to me says he’s very football smart and a great teammate and always focused.
I like what I hear about that. A team player, YES!
Yes strand very good thing how focused he is not only on his self but his teammates
We really do need another big RB. A guy who’s big and can get those tough yards after contact.
Peyton loves those type of players too. Heck yes!
Well, this season is not over yet but kinda fun to touch base on for next year. I hope McGahee does come back for the AFC Championship game if we do get that far. It’s sketchy I know. Only time will tell.
Yes he does Strand. And we do need a bigger back. That’s Lisa why I like Bell he is a huge back (244 lbs on cbssports) but is surprising quick and agile for his size plus he has got solid speed. It’s not breakaway speed but speed to get good gains in the 2nd level.
IMO our needs in order NT DT big RB MLB slot WR OG depth
What we don’t need IMO
QB We have Manning for now and Brock for the future (so we all hope)
Big outside WR. Decker and DMT have been having good-great years. (Only could use depth for just in case)
Speed back we just drafted Hillman and he still has room to grow.
S. Moore has stepped up his game and Carter has been hurt but we saw good things last year.
OT Franklin and Clady have been monsters!
OLB Williams Miller Woodyard Trevathan good young (mostly) group.
DE Doom has been Doom. Wolfe has been good (not filling the stat sheet but does stuff that doesn’t show) Ayers and Jackson are depth plus Hunter and Beal are on IR
Strand there’s some hope he will be back for the divisional game.
But back to this year I’m just hoping we can get the #2 Seed. So i am really hoping Texans won MNF like I think they will.
I want the Ravens and Pats to both lose. It could happen.
