Greetings Broncos Country! Lindy C. of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders here, happily writing to you all in the midst of this fantastic Broncos season.
In the spirit of youth participation in our Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleader and All-Stars programs, the Broncos Cheerleaders hosted the first annual DBC Spirit Showdown on November 10th at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The event featured performances from all of the All-Star teams and the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders.
To further incorporate Colorado’s vast number of participants in youth spirit and dance, the Broncos Cheerleaders also invited both high school and all-star cheer and dance teams to compete. The turnout was great! Joshua Allen, the Season Four Winner of “So You Think You Can Dance!,” and former Broncos Cheerleader LeighAnn Macias were two of the featured guest judges of the competition.
Prizes for the champion teams from each division included an invitation to dance with the Broncos Cheerleaders at halftime of an upcoming Broncos home game. In addition, Joshua and LeighAnn offered a master class for all competition participants at Sports Authority Field the day after the event, which also drew a fantastic showing.
The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders will be hosting this event once again in November 2013. We are hopeful to have even more of Colorado’s cheer and dance teams in attendance, as this year’s installment was clearly a smashing success!

Two Funny BT!!!
but Moreno did look solid. He seems a bit thougher too.
The OLine kinda struggled in the running game early then struggled later in the passing game.
I hope this extra time is good to Kuper and Woodyard.
I think Colin Kaepernick, is gonna suprise some people, just like Wison in Seatle. This will take all the focus away from Harbaugh, after all winning heals all wounds.
I just want to point out: Fate is against me!!!
26 + 16 (Points ‘left-on-the-field’ due to Red Zone weaknesses) = 42
-6 Raider pts. that should have never been scored – an obvious confident defense let down…
+2 pts. when Miller was supposed to sack Palmer in the EZ, not strip/sack him 2 yards short.
13 – 6 + 2 = 9
I got robbed!!! My 41 / 9 prediction shoulda been good!!!
Opps – haha – gave 2 pt’s to the wrong team–LOL guess we’ll have to hit right on for the last three to catch Dane!
BT, I do not like Matt Willis. I literally cringe when I see 12 out there. Cringe. smh Caldwell made a NICE catch last night though.
I think you guys just hold it against Willis that Bay likes him…what…he hasn’t knocked-out a teammate all year…LOL
Bay has nothing to do with how I evaluate talent DB… Here’s my take on Willis (knocking out your own guys aside)…
When building a team the idea is to keep improving in all aspects of the team… Talent and depth of talent… Willis is an adequate 4th reciever and sevicable on special teams, however, in his 4th year he is still just adequate and still the 4th reciever… He is a representation of this teams lack of progress… the 1′s 2′s and 3′s have all changed in front of him, meaning that many many people have outperformed him in practice, and by him still being 4th on the depth chart with so many moves around him I think he is the personification of our mediocrity (Nothing personal)
Caldwell did have a very Stokleyesque catch for sure Cat…
I have a question about the game last night… Did anyone else think the Oakland DB was down at the 1 after the Pick? I was sure Willis touched him and his entire body bounced before the end zone… I thought a challenge could have been made there at least…?
Plus, Willis’ only real contributions on O come at garbage time against soft coverage… He just doesn’t make many plays in my eyes
Me Turtle. I hit rewind to watch it again. Twice. Don’t know why the challenge flag wasn’t thrown. Strange to me.
Just saw Von was fined 25K for that hit below the knees on Freeman.
I was just giving you heck …for fun…I like Willis if he can produce…but like you say – he never seems to. He is also supposed to be a guy with 4.3 / 4.4 speed…right? -Where’s that? I’ve never seen it!
Hiya sndvl! I was very suprised that the guys upstairs didn’t say something to Foxxy, there was lots of time with the Change of Posession…
That sucks about Von… they really get after him for whatever reason
I almost commented on his speed DB, and like you, if it’s there I’d like to see him take advantage of it while he’s on the roster
I never saw it – but you are absolutely correct BT – that wasn’t a TD!!! What the heck is this automatic review doing???
It was a change of possession – the challenge flag cannot be thrown. The challenge is automatic like a scoring play…Please correct me if I am in error.
Shoot – Our defense would have been more likely to score from the 1 ft. line than the offense. Manning knew it! – that was a designed interception to give Miller / Doom and company a scoring opp. — and the replay booth blew it!!!
LOL
Now I’m mad and it’s all your fault BT – I was perfectly content not knowing that!!!! LOL I’ll prolly be mad all night! Might even go yell at my kids or something! LOL
Bye – I’m going to go blow off steam!!!
This challenge rule is so confusing. Lol
That’s funny DB… I am not very clear as to what can or cannot be challenged… It is very confusing
it’s nice to see you’re fully on board with Manning DB. But how could you not after he’s proven you wrong week in and week out. lol We’re very fortunate to have a QB of his calibre leading our team and he’s been worth every penny of that 18 million.
Don’t go overboard Kod…I still think Manning looks funny in Bronco colors!!! (and I severely miss Tebow!)
I’m looking and can’t find the definitions on the ‘challenge rule’.
All I have is a rusty mind that recalls an announcer that stated that all turnovers and scoring plays are reviewed automatically and cannot be challenged!
The high and might ‘upstairs’ has missed it to our benefit with the Holiday ‘flip’. Now they have missed it to our detriment. If there is going to be an ‘upstairs review’ they have to get it right!
Yep – I’ve looked at that ‘slow mo’ prolly 30 times now cuz I’m bugged.
I did the stop frame with Willis’s hand on Adam’s knee – the ball is still clearly inches in front of the goal line. Willis’s hand then bounces back. It is clear evidence of the contact between players.
Since it looks like Willis is reaching out for Adams – I’d say it was an intentional ‘downing’. Good job Willis!
Knowshon is putting it all together. I’ve been very hard on him just like many of us has stated through the last two years. He is making leaps and bounds in the last couple of games. Man, I’m rooting for the guy. I want to see him succeed. He needs to work on goal line though, still somewhat of a weakness from what I saw last night. It could of also been part of the O-lines problem too. With no Kuper in we are not so sound opening up them holes for the RB. Time will tell. Alright Knowshon, tear it up out on the field. Continue to flourish. BRONCOS 2012!!!!
We need a big bruising RB weather in FA or the draft after the season is over. Even if McGahee comes back or not we need big insurance in that department. IMO
Yep – somebody like ‘the bus’. Can you think of any college prospects.
How about Tebow….JK!!! (But we would have scored three outta 4 of those red zone ventures – and you all know it!!! LOL)
Yes, that catch was Stokelyish…
Willis is the sole reason for three of Peyton’s interceptions. I do not like that guy. At all.
DB, you have to admit that although Peyton looks funny in the orange and blue, you don’t mind it so much… You secretly love those colors on him. I know it!!!
And I am still seething about that interception. I can’t bring myself to watch it again. So, I really have no idea what you are all talking about.
You made me laugh Cat!
….but I’m telling you…Peyton threw that one on purpose due to redzone inhibitions! LOL cuz you know PM loves watching: Miller, Champ, Harris, and company, score!!! Can’t have the defense getting bored!!!
But there is no way you can blame Willis – that ball was 5 yards short…PM was either hit or short armed it around the defense hand.
yes tebow is tremendously under rated. maybe he cant be a true pocket passer. but he has strengths any team could. for instance i think he 100 percent in 2 point converstions. has yet to not get in there when called
LOL, I am not necessarily blaming Willis. Peyton is forgetful and doesn’t remember that not all our receivers are Demaryius Thomas with ridiculous abilities. I like your idea. He threw it on purpose.
Willis just can’t get open or runs the wrong route. I’m calling for us to draft a rookie WR that Peyton can groom.
Alex, if Rex Ryan used Tim Tebow the right way he would probably be in playoff contention right now, but noooooooo. smh It’s been driving me crazy all season. But I am really trying hard not to care because I don’t like the Jets. But I also think that for Tebow to have any kind of career in the NFL he is going to have to change positions and he’s so stubborn I don’t see him doing it. Just my opinion.
DB, Peyton LOVES it when the defense scores. Absolutely loves it. I do too! LOL
Rex is the BOZO of the NFL. What a clown!!!
I agree 100% DB.
yeah i watched a few jets games just to see. that team is a disgrace. absolute mishandling of talent. and sanchez is terrible.
funny thing is tt got flak for his under 50 completion percentage. but how many games has sanchez been under that. after 4 years his career avg is about 52.
luckily i hate the jets anyway
Ah, the Jets… Everyone’s favorite train wreck.. LOL!
Looks like they are giving Sanchez another shot on Sunday. The Jets traded up in the 2009 draft, to select Mark Sanchez 5th overall. That’s a big investment to make in a QB, and the fate of both the GM and HC might just rest on Mark’s arm.
I don’t envy them..
Mathew Willis, the punching bag on this week off… you would think guys with poor character issues would take precedent…
Oh that’s right, that’s what I do.
Personally I loved seeing that real good 19 yard catch, well done Matthew.
Just be more consistent, you can do it, just ask Moreno how he has done it (or seems too).
This is not from a blogger, this from the N-Y Daily News: The momentum shifted after Phillip Adams’ intercepted an underthrown pass from Manning to Matthew Willis in the end zone.
But whatever blinders you have on will make you see a play totally opposite of how others may have, seeing that happen all the time, that’s what fandom in sports is all about, no neutral point of view ever, I included even so I try not to, even the so called analysts find themselves guilty of that, human nature, you like you like, you don’t like you don’t like, trying to convince fans is like attempting to bale out a sinking ship with a shot glass.
Hopefully everyone will rightly enjoy their week off and revel in where we’re at, I’m sure that’s what the players are doing right now anyway, good for them.
From the player safety topic a few days ago, I heard an interest arguement from Carl Banks, former NY Giants LB. He claims that a lot of the injuries in today’s game have to do with poor fundamentals, including the lost art of “form tackling.” Players with poor technique, who take improper angles, account for a lot of the injuries in today’s game, according to Banks. I found it to be an interesting take, and thought I’d share.
As far as there being less kids being allowed to play the game going forward, that arguement might hold some merit, but as long as educational institutions are giving out full scholarships, and NFL teams are handing out hefty paychecks, there will always be kids and parents alike, who will take those risks. However, the health risks do need to be made explicitly clear for all parties involved, so that people can make informed decisions IMO.
Bay, I have never liked Matthew Willis and just because he got one 19 yard reception does not make me like him. And I don’t need a newspaper to tell me what changed the momentum of the game.
Wow, really???
The fact is, is there have been plenty of times this year that Matt isn’t where he’s supposed to be and although the other receivers have gotten better at this, he has not. Fact is I cannot stand it when he’s out there because he doesn’t block as well as the other receivers either. I never said that Manning didn’t throw an INT or at it wasn’t his fault. I am fully aware of this. However, it doesn’t make me like Matt Willis when at least three of Peyton’s INTs were in his direction and one Willis ran the complete wrong route.
Anyone find it odd that we’re using Unrien as a FB (I love it btw), when we signed Gronkowski in the offseason, and even recently signed Hester?
Unrein has had more impact on the offense than Matt Willis! LOL
My luck, Matt Willis will become our David Tyree and I will have to eat crow.
Btw, bay, that’s the second time you’ve referenced a NY source.. What’s the world coming to?? Lol
I don’t think it’s odd The Broncos are useing Unrien as a FB, I think it’s odd we signed Gronk and Hester…
