Calling Broncos Country

Kristal-Lynn Archer

Heya Broncos Fans!

I recently moved to Denver from Seattle.  This being my first year on the team I am highly enthusiastic to learn what it takes to be a part of Broncos’ Country.  I’m honored to be involved with an organization that not only touts the loudest stadium, but gives so much back to the community that supports it.

One aspect that is dear to my heart is the Broncos support of the Alzheimer’s Association.  Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokley has made public his father’s struggle with the disease.  As a Life Enrichment Coordinator for an assisted living facility, I see this disease take its toll on many lives and would love to see advances in understanding and treatment for the loved ones and their families affected.

You can show your support by getting involved in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk on Saturday, September 18th.

Start or join a team to run, walk, or just raise money for a cure.  There are over 5 million people affected by this disease, 72,000 here in Colorado.

Let’s help out our community and show the rest of the country what the Broncos are all about!

Good to have you on our team Kristal, keep up the good work with Alzheimer, a very unfair disease, losing my mind would be my last choice on how to go.

    Hi Kristal – Lynn,

It’s so good to have you on the team and blogging with the fans in your first year. As you may already know (or will soon find out) the cheerleaders have a really special spot in the hearts of their fans and you ladies are such great role models in the community.

This run/walk for alzheimers is really a great cause. So many fine people and families are impacted by this disease – as you well know from your work.

One question – is there a web link with more information on this fundraiser?

Hopefully we will all get a chance to meet you sometime soon – either at Fan Fair, the Calendar Release Party or some other appearances. Sorry to be so full of questions, but do you have any information on when and where these events will take place?

Thanks again for blogging with us – and we look forward to keeping in touch.

    Don
