2012 Calendar Shoot: Day 2

July 12th, 2011 - 3:25pm by cheerleaders

We started Day 2 with a 4:00 am hair and makeup call for Margaret and Heather for a beautiful sunrise shot at Lake Dillon. We were fortunate enough to have our friend Rick donate his sailboat for the morning. First up was Heather on the bow of the sailboat “Mischief” with the Colorado sunrise reflecting off the water. It made for an absolutely gorgeous shot to start off our second day. Next up was Margaret, who posed gracefully in front of the main sail. Her blue and white striped suit certainly fit the nautical theme of the morning shot. Although the weather was chilly, both girls toughed it out and ended up with the perfect Rocky Mountain lake snapshot.

The second photo session of the day was Kristin back in the lobby of our “home base” hotel – the Ritz Carlton. The fireplace was roaring (good thing because it was raining outside!) It was a shot that definitely depicts the entire feel of the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch.

The third shot of the day was Allyson and Bachelor, a 16 week old St. Bernard puppy. Bachelor, named after Bachelor Gulch, is the 7th “Bachelor” for the Ritz Carlton. The shot took place along side of Ritz Carlton-Bachelor Gulch. Although the puppy was excited (and distracted!), the pictures of Allyson turned out great. It was a fun and playful shot. Not everyone is lucky enough to shoot with a dog let alone a puppy that is as sweet as Bachelor.

Last shot of the day was Toni! Our design team got her all ready to go in her Blue and Orange Broncos bathing suit. She looked absolutely stunning. We brought her up to the top of the mountain for a gorgeous sunset shot and it began to downpour! Although the landscape with the mountains and wildflowers looked gorgeous in the rain, Toni’s hair and makeup wouldn’t hold up so we moved her sunset shot to the next day.

Seven cheerleaders are done shooting and we have another 19 shots to go! All the ladies are looking beautiful and I can’t wait to tell you about all the exciting shots to come!

New blog so this one deserves a re-post:

Anyway, I got some VERY positive news, John Clayton just said on ESPN that he is 98% certain there will be an agreement reached in principal by this Friday and the entire next week would be used to put it all on paper and do the necessary legal stuff so that it’s fully in place the following Friday, the 21st. I tend to believe that guy regarding stuff like this, so it sounds like it’s finally a done deal and like I said recently I really didn’t see what was the big hold up left since they are down to the rookie wage scale.

Are you ready for some football! LOL.

  4. imready says:

Who’s about football, we’ve got beautiful brunettes in bathing suits ! How sweet it is! Egads, you girls make me feel younger than my years!

  5. strandoftds says:

    YEEEEESS!!!!!

  6. strandoftds says:

Bay, moments ago I left you one last post on the last blog. I commented what you said about not needing cable out here but with a twist.

  7. imready says:

Bay, you’re not crazy, you’re fan-aticle when it comes to the Broncos. Glad you’re are finally seeing it my way and have some optimizum in your mind about football being back in our lives. Now it’s time for them to pull the rug out from under us. LOL
I like stripes! Go Bronco Cheerleaders!

  8. baylinorcrush says:

With all due respect to these ladies, none of them bit me like the Leopard Lady yesterday (Michelle?).

Margaret did get my attention today though, first pic on the sailboat.

  9. baylinorcrush says:

It’s marshisboss who always says I’m crazy, and I really don’t mind it, what’s the fun of being normal.

Yeah saw that strand, black and white is what I grew up with…

  10. strandoftds says:

AWESOME NEWS! Thanks for the heads up!

  11. 1nOnlyTRB says:

WOW!!! Hottie overload lol. They just took my joy from the last blog and quadripled it lol. Cute pup. With all those beautiful ladies around, he is a bachelor indeed lol. Lotta great shots.

Good to hear Bay, Hopefully they will open things up while the get it down on paper. Would hat to have to wait till the 21st when its all done and down on paper. I would like to believe that verbal agreements hold water with these 2. Hope the ESPN dude is right, but I won’t get my hopes up, Like I said, a deal aint done or close to being done, until it is actually DONE. TRB out…

  12. strandoftds says:

Trippy to think back on in the dinosaur days. Go Orange and Blue!

  13. baylinorcrush says:

When it comes to the business of football Clayton weighs his words pretty carefully, that he even bothers to go to 98% is very telling to me, sounds like only an unforeseen catastrophy could derail this thing now, otherwise I would definitely not sound that optimistic as imready or anyone else could tell you.

  14. strandoftds says:

Lets get those FA`s signed dad burn it!

  15. marshisboss says:

Nothing wrong with being crazy Bay nothing at all. Time for football.

  16. strandoftds says:

Also, I hope we sign our top picks soon, no hold ups. Our LB, S, and OL. Heck getem all signed with no hang ups please.

  17. strandoftds says:

When this deal gets signed we`re going to start seeing some old names coming out of the wood-work on this blog that we haven`t seen since the season was over. They`ll start rolling in.

  18. areferee says:

    OK everybody…HUDDLE UP!

  19. strandoftds says:

RED 98 RED 98, HUT HUT!!

  20. strandoftds says:

I think it`s time to pull out the old video I have John Elways Greatest Comebacks and watch it tonight.

There you bay – your old stomping grounds up at Dillon and Lake Dillon where these photos were taken! I bet it brings back memories for you.
Love driving up the Canyon to Dillon/Georgetown the Summer!

Nice area for a photo shoot for the beautiful bronco babes!!

  22. Bro says:

hey bay does this mean i can finally buy my bronco throwback hat? now that the deal is pretty much done? :P

  23. baylinorcrush says:

rbf1, yeah, sure does, seeing those mountains around the lake reminds me of either skiing them, climbing them or mtn biking them or all three, that’s when everything was still working at its peak with my body, the good times, also remember fishing and boating on that lake and ice fishing and cross country skiing on it in the Winter, many, many memories….

Bro, luckly I don’t have to do that since I have about a dozen of those from way back in my closet, I’m like throwback myself, haha.

  24. baylinorcrush says:

Legwold is telling us what we could be looking at in terms of how many players we will be able to add to the roster with FAs and rookie FAs:

Representatives of the NFL owners and the NFL Players Association have discussed having 90-player rosters for training camps this year and possibly for future years.

The Broncos have 72 players on their roster, including their draft picks this year. That means they would have room to add 18 players if the 90-player limit becomes official.

  25. baylinorcrush says:

And this is his take on who we may take in FA:

They likely will sign a tailback (DeAngelo Williams is one of the candidates), a fullback (Mike Karney will be considered) and a defensive lineman or two.

Two backs, two DLs, close enough… To that add an OL and a CB and we still have 12 spots to play with.

So that part of it will feel real good, however the trick will be to get all these new pieces to gel together in no time flat, the rookies to shine right off the bat and contribute and last year’s players to somehow raise it up a bunch of notches and play as a cohesive unit in this new coaching/management setting and them being able to put the 4-12 season behind them. Plus staying healthy with no off season to speak off…

    Very tall order indeed!

It will be fun to see once again what our players are made of, something tells me a couple of wins in the first 4 or 5 games might be very necessary for the troops morale, more critical of a start than any season I can remember…

Our best bet would be to win the first two, home against the Raiders and Cinci, because after that it will get increasingly harder to find wins in the next 4 games, at Titans, at Packers, SD and at Miami. Then a chance at beating Detroit at home and the next 7 are tough again, at Oakland, at KC, the Jets at home, at SD, at Minnesota and the Bears and Patriots at home. Then at Buffalo on Christmas eve (Brrrrr) doesn’t get any easier so we might have to wait for the last game for a good win against KC at home, let’s just hope they are not playing for a playoff spot or division title again and we are playing the role of spoilers or we could be in for a long cold new year’s day. It could be a tough holidays…

Anyhow all that not just to point out the obvious that we will be in an uphill battle this season, but more to remind you guys that exactly two weeks before the start of the regular season we will be holding our annual “season record guessing contest”, which will end the day prior to the first game. So get ready, start tabulating.

  26. strandoftds says:

Bay, good assessment of what we need as usual, 90 players per roster, good to hear. Also looking forward to the contest. Come on FA!

  27. strandoftds says:

We need a good veteran on our O-line. Someone who`s been around the block awhile. Also two stud DT`s like you mentioned.

  28. strandoftds says:

Man, I`m really looking forward to this.

  29. strandoftds says:

So when this deal gets done, It`s going to take a few days for FA to start, correct?

  30. baylinorcrush says:

Remember when I posted Shefter’s and Mortensen’s view of the schedule if a deal is done by the 21st? Well here is the part you are asking about:

    • (July 25): Sign undrafted rookies, as well as give free agents a chance to re-sign with their teams.

    • (July 28) — League year starts and free agency begins.

    So the 28th or thereabout.

  31. imready says:

Thanks to these beautiful burnette cheerleaders I woke up dreaming of a beautiful brunette I dated for a year or two. Not a good idea when your redheaded wife, who would cut you down like a dog if you uttered another womans name even in your sleep, is sleeping next to you. LOL
This is one darn tough schedule. and I pretty much agree with your evalution Bay. I think you may be off on your evaluation of Detroit . They will be good this season and I predict they make the playoffs if Stafford stays healthy. Our O-line will need to vastly improve if we are to have any chance against them with thier great defensive line. I hate the Lions and hope we get a chance to beat them. Their O-line is questionable , if they don’t address it in free agency Stafford may have another abbreviated season.
I think we will have a good chance against the Titans, they’ll have a new QB under center and with our new ,improved defense we should be able to make him nervous.
Seeing the schedule again has taken some of the wind out of my sails for this coming season. Let’s see what happens in free agency before I get too worried. We will need to be much better than last year to even go 8-8 against the teams on our schedule unless some of them have a real drop off from last year. That is the best thing about the current system in the NFL, a team can make vast improvements from one year to the next. You can’t blame the owners for wanting to hang onto their talent in the negotiations but for teams like the current Broncos, it’s an oppurtunity to vastly improve in just one season. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the up coming season and free agency.

  32. baylinorcrush says:

Thing about the game at the Titans is the revenge factor since they feel they should of won that game last year, and if they have Orton for QB it will be that much tougher. And if Detroit is not one of the games at home we should expect to win I honestly don’t see where we are going to get many… Yeah Detroit is on the way up but they are still the Lions, enough said, LOL. Looking at the schedule is as sobbering as an AA meeting, haha, sorry about the down to earth analysis of that monster of a schedule… for a 4-12 team!!! What’s the justice in that…

  33. 3rdGeneration says:

You guys here what Harrison had to say about Goodell AND Big Ben? What kind of guy goes after his own QB in that fashion? Also love that he’s resorting to using lines out of an Eminem rap, “If he was on fire I wouldn’t piss on him to put it out.”. He goes on to call Goodell a devil and talks about how be hates him. Also, he talks about how Ben is not as good as Manning, but gets paid the same, and how how D had to make up for his picks in the Super Bowl. Glad he’s not on our team.

  34. baylinorcrush says:

If our team was as good as Pittsburgh I wouldn’t mind, haha.

  35. imready says:

It’s good to be realistic about the season. We don’t have a clue of what we’re going to have here with a new coach and many new members on the staff. It will be nice to have some questions answered about free agency in the near future. I’ll be interesetd in the college free agents signings and the supplimental draft. Know anything about that Bay? There has been a little talk about it here and there but I haven’t heard of any time frame for it.

  36. baylinorcrush says:

Somewhere around the 25th as posted earlier.

If we do have 90 roster spots with 72 players on it now plus between 6 and 8 FAs I figure gives us the opportunity to have enough roster room for about 10 to 12 rookie FAs sticking around training camp and as far as who they may be talk about finding a couple of needles in a haystack, but that’s what Xanders and Co get paid for…

  37. BeastFromEast92 says:

Anybody catch the Broncos/Packers Superbowl replay last night on NFL Network,I’ve got it on VHS,but I watched it anyway,Remember the last drive, when they said they let us score,a pass to Howard Griffith, and a huge block by Eddie Mac(blew up the LB)then pointed his finger at him, while he was still on the ground, inside the 5 yd line. Then the TD score, man it was awesome, especially when at the end,to see how happy Elway was!!!

And the hit where Atwater (the smiling assassin)knocked himself out cold, and took out Hilliard and Brooks, one of the greatest hits ever!!!

Then Mobley broke up the 4th down pass to secure the win.

  43. royalbroncofan1 says:

Thanks for the breakdown on the season bay.
No doubt Broncos have a challenging season coming off the CBA lockout, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Although the team is young, they shoud be able to build some cohesiveness, and with that said, a stronger team within a couple of years.

bay, what about Utah DT Sealver Siliga? (6’2″ 314 lbs)
    He’s a definite 2 down run stuffer.
Can’t recall if he was drafted or not….

  44. imready says:

I wouldn’t ask you if I didn’t know it was a labor of love for you. It also allows you to exercise your most redeeming quality , your joy of doing things for the benefit of others. Just like to remind you once in a while we all love you for that.

  45. strandoftds says:

Good to know Thanks Bay. I can wait a few more weeks. This is getting exciting guys.

  46. strandoftds says:

How about LB Mark Herzlich from BC. He might make the practice sqaud, or maybe the roster.

  47. royalbroncofan1 says:

Don’t recall if anyone drafted this kid either….

    DT Saia Falahola
    Home Town – Euless Texas
    (6’1″ 300lbs)
Falahola might is a bit quicker off the line.

“Hard-working defensive lineman played in 39 career games at defensive tackle in his five years with the Sun Devils…made 23 total starts and finished with 59 tackles (30 solo), including 10.5 tackles for loss and four sacks…moved to defensive tackle in the spring before the 2007 season after being recruited as an offensive linemen…graduated with a B.I.S. degree in interdisciplinary studies…dropped more than 25 pounds over the course of his time with ASU”.
