i think they should have let you handle opposite of champ....You have came along way since the divisional championship game against Steelers....to me your a better corner then Bly is...plus you play more physical then he does...thats why I loved when you stepped in as a safety...I mean look how many tackles you had that game..i think it was like 14 or 15...much respect to you man. to me your the future for our secondary...your still young and way head of most of the cb drafted in your class..stay blessed brother

Sweet responses....Well thought out and said.

A long way to go, but is writing or broadcasting in your plans after your career is done, in a secade or so?

Although corner is my number one position, I try to stay fresh at safety just in case I'm needed there. I wouldn't necessarily say I don't like safety; I just feel I'm a better corner than I am a safety. But whatever position that I can fill on this team I'll be more than happy to fill it. I know that sounds fake, but I just want to get on the field and make plays.

As far as Darren and Damien are concerned I don't know what's in the works upstairs, but the players do a lot as it is. I think a lot of the players have -- at least I have -- the funeral programs up in my locker and we have wristbands. And we talk about the guys on a daily basis. I think that's almost more important to us than the major thing, but I'm sure the team will put something together so we all -- fans included -- can celebrate both of their lives.

How much Champ has helped my game is a question I get asked a lot, actually. The answer is yes, he's helped me with the entire transition from the day that I got here until now. He's taken me under his wing off the field and on the field. It's been an extreme blessing and it's been a perfect situation. No better. It's like coming into a team as a quarterback with John Elway there. It's perfect.

Do the cornerbacks help show the quarterbacks what not to do in practice? That's a great question. We have a lot of coaches who have a ton of experience. We might mention something to a quarterback like if he's staring down a receiver, let him know about that. But for the most part we're not more prepared to teach our quarterbacks than the coaches are so we let them do their job and we try to do ours.

Dom

I have been a fan since your senior year in college and was gald when the Broncos picked you up in the 05 draft. I think a lot of other people thought our later third round pick was going to be the steal but I'm glad you've proved them. You instantly became one of my favorite players when you chose to wear my number the double deuce (22) and since you played the position I played. I was wondering if you chose that number or it was kind of assigned to you. I know you rocked #6 for the Terps but thats not a legit number for a corner in the NFL with thier policies.

I was also wondering about your weight, I don't think you should have fell so far in the draft but many felt it was because of your samller size (which really has little to do with being a corner), you still could make the tackle so I don't know, but my question was have they or have you tried to add more weight and do you think it helps you or hinders you?

Also what other sports did you play if any?

I have never been disappointed with anything I have read from a member of this team. I still am not.

I look forward to the new season to see how the Coaches use each of you this season. The Broncos D looks awesome this year. I don't think any team could possibly have a better secondary. I can't remember a year when I was as excited about our defense.

Keep up the blogging as we fans are excited to hear from our favorite players. You are a class act to take time out of your busy life to let the public learn a little about who you are. I am grateful and honored to read your blog.
