Let’s blog…
Another great win, a heart-stopping win. It was a really exciting game, but it was tough for me because I was not allowed to play, unfortunately. It’s really difficult because I just felt like a glorified fan, because I was right on the sideline. I was signaling in the defenses for the secondary and trying to give tips to the players on what I saw and advise the referees as politely as possible whenever they missed calls or made what I thought were mistakes on flags. So I was really into the game, and when it got down to crunch time, it was really hard to be on the sideline watching when you’re used to playing.
Like I said last week, I’d never missed a game in my entire life. It was uncomfortable, to say the least. But it was a great win. It was really exciting. It was a great way to start this coming week.
Tuesday we all went down to the site of the Darrent Williams Teen Center, which is currently the Denver Broncos Boys and Girls Club in Montbello, and we had a little fundraiser. There were a lot of TV stations there, and the radio station 850 KOA broadcasted live from the location from 5-9:30 a.m. for the morning show, if anybody caught that. We were on a lot of the morning TV shows trying to raise money and point people in the direction of PositivePlaceDenver.org, which is a Web site where there are some items we are auctioning. If you want to make any type of donation you can go there, so if anybody wants to be a part of building the Darrent Williams Teen Center, we’re only a few thousand dollars away and we’d appreciate any help that you guys are willing to offer.
You can bid on some really cool items, like a few sideline passes for this coming game, go in the locker room before and after the game with us, and some Darrent Williams signed footballs. I know Rod Smith is going after those footballs, so you might have some competition there, but there’s a few of them, so we’ll see.
I thought it was really cool that we had a huge turnout of players. I think there was about 30 or 40 players that showed up. Obviously, the biggest-name celebrities that we have, from our quarterback Jay Cutler and Champ was there and Javon was there, just about everybody, Tom Nalen showed up, just about everybody that you would want to see or whose autograph you would want to get, you could’ve gotten it if you showed up. I’m assuming that some of you guys showed up at the Boys and Girls Club, so thank you guys and I hope you got to meet the players that you wanted.
It was a good representation of our team for so many of our players to be able to give up their time and even the players who were able to donate, like Rod who said he was going after the balls. But Javon generously donated $30,000 on the spot to the cause, which put a huge dent in whatever money we have left to raise. While giving money is great, I feel like giving time is so much more valuable, and for all the players to come down there and show up and stay as long as they did and be so humble and hang out with the kids and the community leaders in the Montbello area, it’s just really encouraging. We’re going to get this teen center up in memory of Darrent and it’s going to do a lot of good in the community, so we’re excited.
A lot of people were asking us for autographs, and we had these special teen center shirts made up, they were selling them for $30, and the ones that the players have we got those all autographed by the kids. So I got this shirt, and it reminded me of senior year in high school when you get your shirt signed by everybody and everybody puts a little message, so that’s definitely going to be a souvenir for me.
And then I had to run back down here to Dove Valley for treatment this morning which is getting better and better. I’m looking forward to playing this weekend. And then we have a poetry contest, a couple of the Boys and Girls Clubs are coming together to compete with their poetry, and I’m going to be a judge for that later on tonight, so I’m looking forward to that also.
I do remember one question that I wanted to respond to. DFFavFan asked me about the College in Colorado commercials that I do. It’s CollegeinColorado.org, which is a great Web site for kids preparing for college to help them find financing and find the best school to fit them, prepare for the ACTs and SATs. It’s a really great Web site to help guide kids in the direction of going to college and it provides a lot of the support that some kids don’t have. It has advice for kids as early as the sixth or seventh grade and has monthly tips for things that you should be doing to prepare for college, from middle school all the way up until your senior year. It’s been really helpful for me and a good resource to use when I’m helping some of the kids that I work with at the Boys and Girls Club, because I go to the site myself. I get to see my face on there, which is kind of cool, but it also has provided a lot of help for me in helping them out. I love to do those PSAs. They’re really positive and like I said before in some previous blogs, I’m oftentimes more recognized for that than being a football player, which is perfectly fine with me.
To Kayleigh47, I just wanted to say keep up the hard work. I read your response and I’m glad that you’re able to stay focused and do the best that you can and try to motivate your friends at the same time. But more importantly, make sure that you get done what you need to get done for your daughter, and I’m sure you can make the best of your situation. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
We broke another record this week, 82 responses, so thanks to everybody for the support. I’m feeling good about myself, because last week, I have to say, I was feeling a little insecure. I felt like you guys were no longer interested or I somehow became boring all of a sudden. But I came back strong with a good blog and you guys responded, so thanks a lot.
I want to thank everybody who provided YouTube clips for me. It took me longer to read all the responses this week because I was checking all the clips that you guys sent to me. I appreciate it. I guess that could become an ongoing thing. Any time you find anything funny, I’m always open to it, and I appreciate all the clips that you sent me. There were some really funny ones. I really enjoyed the laughing baby. It was so weird. The baby couldn’t stop laughing and I don’t know why that was funny, but it was pretty hilarious. That led me to some other laughing babies which were also pretty funny. I didn’t know laughing babies were as funny as they are.
Then there was one of this really smart baby, some little girl who was naming all the presidents and she was like less than a year old. It was crazy. You can find anything on YouTube I guess. So thanks a lot, and keep them coming if you find anything else that I should check out.
It’s a little late now because everything’s been taken care of as far as the New England Patriots video scandal, but I’ll weigh in on it as politically-correctly as I can while still giving my true opinion. I don’t know the exact facts of the situation, and nobody does except the Patriots organization and maybe the commissioner, but they’ve already levied their discipline, so it’s good that those type of things are happening as kind of a “cleaning up” of our league. I think our league is really proactive in comparison to some of the other professional leagues as far as getting the things that we think are harmful to our sport out and trying to keep the playing field as level as possible.
There’s been a lot of debate over whether the discipline was heavy enough or not, and I feel like it’s really not my place to say whether it was heavy enough or not, but I think it might be one of the first times that we’ve ever had a scandal like that, so I would say it’s hard for the commissioner to make a brand new ruling. But I guess he’s kind of been doing that for a few months now, so he’s become quite good at it. I hope that it works as a deterrent for future teams. That’s not something that we do around here. I think we have one of the classiest organizations, as I’ve said before, and we do everything the right way.
I find it somewhat disheartening to find out that there are teams doing those types of things. Whenever I hear about a player, as rare as it is, who has done some sort of illegal performance enhancing techniques, that’s upsetting also because I’m out there, and this team is out there, doing things the right way and the idea that someone has an unfair advantage is upsetting. People have been talking about how the Patriots may have been doing this all along and that’s how they won their Super Bowls, but I don’t know. You have to give them some credit for being a great team. If they have been doing it all along, it may have had an effect, but I don’t know how much it could have helped. It’s the players on the field who need to decide the games, not any cameras or anything like that.
Saying that, and I made the comparison to players using performance-enhancing things and players cheating and organizations cheating, that’s one thing that was different. If a player gets caught performance enhancing, it’s an automatic four-week suspension, four weeks’ pay, four weeks where you can’t even be in the building. So I kind of expected the coaches’ or organization’s punishment to be in line with the way you treat players when they have been found to be cheating. So that kind of surprised me, but like I said, it’s the commissioner’s job, it’s a hard job, and he’s doing a great job as far as I’m concerned so far.
While we’re on unsavory characters, I’ll talk about O.J. Simpson. It’s NFL-related, so it’s not that much of a stretch. Many people may not know this, but once upon a time, O.J. was a running back for the Buffalo Bills, and he was the first to rush for 2,000 yards in a season. He was a really prolific runner, a great running back. Since then, he’s become a laughingstock, to say the least. He just seems to be always in the spotlight and looking for the spotlight and doing something that we can’t respect as players in the NFL, and it’s something that I’m sure the NFL wants to get as far away from as possible.
I don’t know, I just feel like he’s one of those people that you just want to say, “Go sit down somewhere, just get out of the media, out of the spotlight.” But at the same time, you can tell that he’s the type of person who craves that type of attention, so I guess he’ll get it any way he can. I can’t imagine that whatever memorabilia that he was accused of stealing was that significant. I really just get the feeling that he’s the type of guy that just wants to be seen. He had a book, and then like a reality TV show DVD, “Juiced,” where he was doing all this weird stuff and pulling pranks on people. Having been in the trial that he was in and being found not guilty, I just feel like a light-hearted prank show shouldn’t be the next thing you do. There’s something wrong.
There’s probably a long list of people who just need to get out of the spotlight and just go sit down somewhere. Most of those people were well-respected in their day. I’d say Michael Jackson is probably on that list also. He made “Thriller,” one of the greatest albums ever, one of the greatest songs ever, “Bad,” all the way back to the Jackson 5, all those songs are great and we all love Michael Jackson for the “Moonwalk” and all the wonderful things he’s done. He’s a musical genius, but he just needs to go sit down somewhere. I guess he kind of has, he went to some foreign country somewhere. He moved away and we haven’t heard from him in awhile, which is good. O.J. should do that too.
They need like a celebrity island, where all the celebrities who are currently doing dumb things can just go away and just hang out there. We can give them some TV cameras, because that’s really all they want is some attention. We can broadcast what they’re doing back on to YouTube or something and they’ll know that people are watching them. I don’t know. I would say that I’m disappointed in O.J., but at this point, who really cares? He lost my respect a long time ago and I guess it’s not that important to him anyway.
Anyway, I did the radio show again for the second week. I’d like to think that Mike Bell and I are becoming somewhat of a hit with our offbeat comedy, making fun of each other and at the same time, analyzing things. I think the first week we had about four people in the restaurant and this week it was about 25 or 26 people in the restaurant. The first week, we had no call-ins, the next week we had three or four call-ins, so we’re building some momentum. So if anybody else wants to join us, Monday nights, 5:30 at the Sports Column, 950 AM The Fan. Thanks for all your support.
I’m looking forward to this game against Jacksonville coming up. It should be exciting, I’m looking forward to the chance to get back out on the field and be more a part of the team than I was last week. Jacksonville is an exciting game for me. That was my first career start my rookie year. I got an interception and a fumble recovery in that game, and the coaches awarded me with the defensive player of the game afterwards. It was week 4 of my rookie year, so whenever I see Jacksonville I get a little nostalgic feeling, I guess. That was a good day. Up until that point, I’d been practicing really well and people thought I could play, and I think that was the first time where everybody was like, “OK, he’s going to be pretty good.”
Jacksonville was one of the teams before the draft that was heavily talking to me and I thought it was one of the places I could go. I’ve never really told this story, but I remember a couple of days before the draft — I don’t remember the guy’s name, but if I did I probably shouldn’t say it anyway — one of the scouts or coaches or something from the Jaguars called me at like 7 in the morning on a Saturday, and told me he’d been watching my film and I looked kind of slow, and he went on to kind of rip my abilities and my college career. He said all these things like, “Well, you look like you don’t do this well, you don’t look like you tackle well,” and it was about 7 a.m. on a Saturday. I didn’t want to be bothered, but I knew I had to be nice to everybody so I could get drafted, but the guy just ripped me on the phone. I was still trying to be humble the entire time, and he’s asking me questions that I can’t answer, like, “Why didn’t you hit this guy in the Wake Forest game your junior year?” I was like, “I don’t know, coach,” trying to be respectful at the same time.
I can’t remember that guy’s name. I wish I could have, I should have sent him a letter after I got that interception in the Jacksonville game my rookie year. It was definitely in the back of my mind when we played them, but I don’t have any hard feelings anymore. I feel like I made my point. On draft day, they drafted two corners I think, and I was not one of them. It definitely hurt my feelings a little bit, but I’m over it now. I’m no longer insecure about how the Jacksonville Jaguars feel about me. I don’t know, that might be a bad story. That might get me in some trouble, but oh well, we’ll see. It’s just a blog.
As for my Blog Master, it’s not no stinkin’ Andrew Mason. I’m in direct competition with Andrew Mason. My blog is consistently better than his blog. I get more attention and I give more quality insight, so I wouldn’t dare let Andrew Mason be the one who transcribes my blog. I’m not sure my Blog Master is ready to come out into the spotlight, so you can keep guessing if you want. We’ll keep it mysterious.
As for the sign off, “All Ready.”

ok i have a question…i was at fan fair…(i know it was long ago)….but anyways i was listening/watching you talk to the little kids on the field when they were asking you questions and i remember this little kid asked you what kind of car you had and you said “i dont have a car, i ride my bike everywhere” i was wondering if you really dont have a car or if you were just kidding?????????????????????

-PARIS (#1 BRONCO FAN!!!!!!!)
Hey Fox,
Congratulations on the win!
Glad to know your ok. But I was really wanting to see you out there on the field. Hope all is well with the ankle.
I’m excited about the Darrent Williams Teen Center. I really want to get involved in anyway I can. Whether through volunteering or making donations, I’m in. 100%. I’m so proud of you guys and what you are doing to make this a success. Thank you.
The raido show….. I’ll be there next Monday!
Have a blessed week, okay?
All Ready!

Fox, you’re right. You’re way better than Andrew Mason. Don’t worry about that hack. You do have a big advantage getting to be inside with the team and all that thogh.
Fox,
Since you had cheating and punishments on your mind recently, how did you feel about how the Raiders game ended? Apparently everyone is saying that we cheated with our timely timeout. And I say it was within the rules and guidelines. Do you think that players in any sport that use performance enhancing drugs should be allowed into their respective HOF?
Also don’t worry about Jacksonville, your on a better team anyway. Its awesome to hear that so many players turned out for a good cause. Also if I miss out on some auction stuff, but still donate some money, is their anyway I could get like a keychain or something small autographed? Heal up and take care Fox.
All Ready
Fox,
As far as the Jaxonville thing in concerned…what goes around comes around. And come this Sunday, you should give them another dose. It would be nice to hear you and Bell on the radio. Im sure you guys give some good laughs. Us San Diegans dont have the opportunity to reap those benefits and tune in; let alone cruise out to the D-Will teen center and hang. Maybe I can figure out the radio thing and give you all some SD action with a call in sometime. As far as Mike Bell is concerned, ive noticed that after he makes a big run he does this like sort of shake move. I call it the Mike Bell post run shake down. And its not like hes doing it on purpose. I dont think he can help it. Do you know what Im talking about? Its like his little tick/twitch…nothing short of hilarious. Look for it.
Keep the blogs rollen,
James in San Diego
How can you even think the time out was cheating? Shanahan is a tactical genius, in my opinion.
Get better Fox! We need you for week 4!!!!!
Foxworth,
I proposed this in Mason’s forum as well…… I think it would be great if us Broncos fans could purchase the stickers you guys wear on your helmets to honor D-Will and D-Nash. The proceeds could go to his foundation and it would be great. I know I would personally put one on my car, my motorcycle, and my replica helmet. Any thoughts?
Cheers,
The Reheiser
Fox,
I had the opportunity to be at the Raiders game, and it was amazing. You all did well. Of course we let the game get away in the third quarter, but a good team always pulls it out at the end.
Pertaining to your radio show, I actually caught it on my way home yesterday. It was great. You seem to get more than your share of slams in on Mike and the others, but I had to chuckle when they got you back with the “let’s hear from someone who actually played this week” comment. They said you were staring daggers. But it was all in fun. Great show. Maybe I’ll call in one of these days.
As far as Mason goes . . . the only thing he has over you is that there is something new to read every day, instead of once a week. I completely understand that that is part of his job, and you are way too busy with the more important stuff to do that, so it’s ok. When you do write, it’s great stuff.
I hope you’re well enough to play this week . . . maybe you can help with stuffing the run a little better. I’m confident our Broncos won’t let us down and hopefully we’ll have a little more breathing room as the clock is ticking down this week.
Good luck!!
Hey Fox,
I was really disapointed the first game against Buff. when Jeff got ran over by Lynch. Is knowing to hit low in situation like that somthing you learn over time or is it somthing that you do it or you dont. I think you are a little shorter than Jeff but I think you would have made that tackel. We have been close the last few games but I think we will be harder to beat with you in the lineup, not to take anything from Jeff who played much better this past week…
Fox,
While you are on the subject of high character and the NFL being proactive with it’s discipline- what are your thoughts on the Michael Vick situation?
Congrats on beating the Raiders!!!!
Hasta
Hey Dom,
It makes me happy to see what all the players are doing for D Will. I’m sad because the 19th of September is the anniversary of my best friend’s death date. I’m not sure if you were in denver yet, or still in college, but it happened in 2004. It was in the news because he played football, and it was second-impact syndrome that he died from. Basically his brain swelled up after being hit while he had a concussion.
Anyways, the Oakland game was so crazy. I was there on the 5th level, way high up, but it was crazy. I was screaming my head off when “Seabass” missed the second field goal.
Here’s some youtube links for you. They’re not videos, but rather songs from one of my favorite bands, Angels and Airwaves. I’m not sure it you’ll like them, because from what I’ve gathered, you are a fan of rap, but I like this band because their lyrics are so inspiring, but here they are

“KARMA” If you stay in the game and do the right things it all balances out in the end. I was once wrongly fired. 2 years later I came back as a govenment inspector. I handled it professionally, but it was a wake-up call for the guy that showed me his rear end.
Keep hanging Fox!

Good to see you’re doing well foxy, if you do get on the field next week i can see you matching up well against their receiving core, which is suspect to say the least. I mentioned really late in the last blog that i saw on the site you were born in Oxford, England? Even though i live in Manchester, i was actually born in a town called Wantage, right in the heart of Oxford
Its a city with a proud educational history (Oxford University is one of, if not the best Universities in the world), maybe thats where you get your smarts from!
Peace out my English brother!
Fox: If Andrew Mason had sprained HIS ankle, he’d have updated us on how he’s healing… anyway, thx for the blog. We’re looking forward to seeing you back out there soon.
Hey I am coming to one of my first games this weekend so I am glad you will be able to play. I got a quick question for you, since you teach writing, do you have any cool games or anything to help me teach my fourth grade class some writing skills?
That is great players like yourself are donating their time/money for the center and other things to benefit the community. Best wishes in regaining full health.
Im glad that your healing up, i cant wait for you to get on the field again, your part of the reason the secondary is great. Sadly when you do get on the field im gonna have to suffer through either listening to, or following the game on the internet. Going to school in lincoln means that it’s Chiefs territory. Either way, this blog is great, it’s nice to hear thoughts from a players perspective.
I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago. It’s getting ridiculous. Ridiculously addicting. Last week’s blog was good, but this week I thought, “My goodness, this guy can write! And an athlete, no-less.” It is apparent that you put a lot of time and effort into your writing. Very impressed!
I wrote my first blog in my entire life last week!! (I just did a cart-wheel) I actually made fun of you. However, now that I think back on it, I hope my joking wasn’t lost in translation. You even made the point that you were just like the rest of us, so I feel kinda bad. So, please know I was merely teasing. If you didn’t notice, na na na-nice!
That game rocked the kaz-biggity, and I can’t wait to see the next! Good luck punk and Word ‘em Up!
M
Another super blog! Thanks so much for writing to us each week. I really look forward to them and enjoy it a lot. How did you end up doing the blog? Did they ask you to do it or did you volunteer? Either way, I think it has turned out great!
Sorry you didn’t get to play last week. I’ll be there again on Sunday so I want to see #22 out there! Its sounds like you are healing quickly!
Thanks for sharing your stories and opinions, those are the parts of the blog I like the most. It really feels like we are having a one on one conversation with you and thats really cool. Its neat knowing that playing the Jaguars means a little extra to you and I’ll definitely carry that with me to the game on Sunday.
If any out of towners want to listen to your radio show on Monday nights tell them to go to the 950 The Fan website. They have streaming live broadcasts online for free! I’ll be sure to listen in next week. It sounds like a great program.
One final question for you, do you follow any of the other Colorado pro sports teams? I know you are super busy during the season but during the off season do you catch any games? I am a huge Broncos fan but I love to root for the Avs, Rockies and Nuggets as well.
Take care and I’ll see you on Sunday!
Hey Fox,
I like the story about jacksonville passing on you. They must not have been aware of what you can do. I really hope youre healthy for the jville game, and indy game, because youre gonna be needed for us all year long. Youre a great part of our secondary. In MADDEN, i actually play base nickel, because i figure youre better than any LB i can put there.(no offense to nate webster…he’s a stud too!!) Keep on settin records with the blog..
CYA
-derek schilson-
p.s. tell the guys that the fans like the last second wins, but it makes us feel better when you guys dont kill us every week…haha
Hey Fox,
What’s up man…it’s going to be good having you back on the field on sunday…can’t wait to watch the game it’s going to be a great game. O.J is just a mess now, he was soo good back in the day, but now he’s just a mess and you are right he’s just tring to be in the spotlight, so people know what he;s still around. Don’t forget Mike S. knows great players, he picked you for a reason and that is because he knows you are a great player and that you are just going to get better and better over the years. That Jaguars coach had no right to tell you that stuff, because if you don’t have anything good to say to someone don’t say anything right?? Oh yea i forget about that D-will center, i would have shown up if i knew about before today, but i really sucks that i couldn’t be there i would have loved to meet you in person. i saw you on fox news, when they were interviewing Nick and you were making fun of him and doing things to him why he was talking to the camera that was soo funny..and i always thought that it was funny when you walked by the camera when Champ was about to talk, man you are a funny dude. Now i really want to beat Rod for one of those Footballs, because i love D-will and i really would love one of those footballs, and it was really nice of Javon to give $30,000 for the center. I hope that everything goes well and that it opens soon. Man it must have sucked missing your first game EVERY!!!! well there i go again making another long message sorry about that but now i have to go and finish the rest of my college hw which really sucks lol
The biggest Broncos fan
Volim Elmu
Hey Fox,
I swear to god I would love it if the team could just put away the jags this week… these past two weeks have shaved a couple years off the end of my life but hey a win is a win right!!!!
On another note though I was curious as to who you looked up to the most as a player? Are there any paticular players you try to model your game after? And who was your favorite player as a kid?
And please beat the living snot of jax this week…. they have the 2nd best pass D behind you boys and I don’t want them getting cocky or anything!!!
Fox,
You need to get some pics this week. Two d-linemen, Elvis and Marcus, have more than you! Joking, but seriously.
hey d-fox!
sorry that was a test lol
Foxy,
Your blog is awesome and you seem like a cool down to earth dude, thanks so much for taking time to do this. I`m very excited about this year for the Broncos! 77 super bowl 87 super bowl 97 super bowl (win!) so now 07 well you know where i`m going with this hahahaha. But on the real, best of luck and as a broncos fan for 20 years now I can see the hard work, hustle and confindent play your giving out there and I greatly appriciate it. Go Broncos!!!!!
Fox,
Thanks as always for the blog. I hope you are healing quickly, because I missed seeing you on the field this weekend. I was at the Oakland game and it was a rush for sure. I was in section 100 in my grandpa’s seats he’s had since 1964. I know you know the noise level first hand, but I was surprised how loud it was when Janikowski was set to kick in OT. I was screaming as loud as I could and I could not hear myself screaming, and I don’t know that I’ve ever heard it that loud at any of the games I’ve attended.
I know how rewarding that win feels for fans like myself who were at the came, but I can’t imagine how much better it must feel to experience something like that on the field. It’s the stuff of dreams.
A Mile High Salute to a class act and a great player,
ChampWJ
Man…you got some mad feelings going on toward Mason. I dig reading all the blogs posted on this website. Each of you has something different to offer. his is strictly broncos game play. And you give us the more sensative bronco personal story. I LIKE IT! Thanks man. Get back in the game and help us kill the rush next week, and keep our defense as scary as our offense.
Peel.
Well, Fox, I guess now’s as good a time as any to tell you more about myself. I’m a radio commentator for the Mid-Utah Radio organization of Manti and Richfield, Utah, about eight hours west of Denver. One of my responsibilities is to provide radio commentary for a show called the Badger Den wherein I cover the Snow College Badgers, the #2 junior college football program in the country according to this week’s rankings. One of the Badgers’ players, who I will keep anonymous, was critical of the Broncos for being “bush” against the Raiders. I told him pretty much everything you stated in our blog about the Broncos’ class and organization. He took this in stride and admitted that it was a pretty cool move for Shanahan to make and that the Broncos did win legitimately. This just goes to show that nothing is more important to defend than one’s good reputation. We’ve always been a class organization and I take great pride in being a Broncos fan. Now’s your time, Dominique, stymie the Jags once again, if you’re healthy. If not, you may help us beat the Colts in Indy, who knows? Keep up the good work, the blog is intoxicating, even for a Mormon like me. It’s the closest thing to a narcotic that I’ll ever enjoy!!!
What’s up Fox? Another great blog. I may not post every week but I do read it.
Anyways, I’m going to guess that you dictate the blog to your old buddy Curome Cox… or maybe one of the hockey players as payback for your free advertising.
For real though, how did you not know that laughing babies were funny? That’s comedy at its very core.
On a more serious note, thanks for continually raising awareness for the Darrent Williams Teen Center. I think we all appreciate how aware you are of community matters and we are proud to root for you on Sundays.
Keep it up.
Down with Mason! (just kidding Andrew, don’t ban me)
I live in toronto so can’t get the fan 950 obviously, but his there someway you can get the radio show on the net?
Dom,
Another great blog. Sorry you weren’t allowed on the field last game. However, I’ll be glad to see you back out there against the Jags. Go get ‘em. Meanwhile, here’s a little youtube video that cracked me up for some unknown reason.

Hey Fox!
Thanks again for the great blog. I hope the Darrent Williams Teen Center gets all the donations they need. I’ve sent e-mails to everyone I know to let them know about it so I hope that helps. It is a great cause.
I was bummed when you didn’t get to play against the Raiders but it was still a fun game to watch. I am looking forward to the Jax game this weekend but am hoping that I don’t almost have a heart attack again.
Good luck this weekend!
18 days until I go to a Broncos game!!!
Foxy,
Hey great blog. I think it is great how everyone went to support the teen center. I know that where I work( teacher on Navajo Reservation) the boys and girls club is all the family that some of my kids have. Keep up the great work.
Get yourself healthy so we can see you out on that field.
Foxy WHAT A GAME my older brother Anthony (Patriots fan) and I saw Jeff Shoate playing nickle I was mad not that Jeff was playing it was because you were not. Champ and Dre’ got 1 pick and my bro jumped up when Marcus Thomas nabbed 1 haha I was waiting for a flip celebration like in camp lol but I hope to see you playin this week and if you do you will give Jacksonville deja vu I rember when you played them back in your rookie year when you earned rookie of the week honors that interception was great .

Foxy,
I hope the Darrent Williams Teen Center gets all the funds it needs to get up and running really soon. I’ll check out the bidding online! Can we still stop by the center to bid on items or would we have to bid online now?
I was also at Sunday’s Raiders game in the south stands thanks to Ticketexchange and was it ever loud towards the end of the game! I was screaming as loud as I could and so were 75,000 other fans. I guess it didn’t need to be that exciting but it definitely was a thriller. I think all 75,000 and the Broncos players all jumped in unison when the Raider FG attempt boinked off the upright!! Quite a moment that was.
We had an awesome wave going in the third quarter too - something I always love and it seemed that the players enjoyed it too. It was funny to watch Champ Bailey on the field as he watched the wave go around the north end of the stadium - I could see his head turn as he watched the wave go by. Kinda cute. It must look really cool from down on the field.
I think the best moment though was fans response to Jerry Porter’s mock Mile High salute (they didn’t show this on TV) and the fans responded with a different kind of salute in the south stands. Would’ve made a good youtube video!
I have fond memories of your first start against Jacksonville in ‘05 and I hope you have just as good of a game against them this Sunday!
Oh and one more question, can you give us some more insight into Javon Walker’s boxer belt that he’s carrying with him this year? Thanks!
All Ready!!
Foxxy - I came across a photo of D-Will, Paymah, and yourself all posed together and it stirred up a lot of emotions. Man, there will never be another guy like Darrent, he is/was really special.
On a happier note, I’m really proud of my Broncos and the way you guys are handeling the situation. I mean, it’s not like there’s a script on what to do or say, but I think you guys have been stellar. Between contact with the family and the memorial center and the rememberance of D-Will in the locker room. I really feel like we’ve included him the best way that we can or know how to.
Get that ankle healthy Foxxy - we need you in there.
On a side note - I think I’ll be hanging my #56 jersey on the Broncos wall of fame in my house, and pick up that #22 jersey I’ve seen at the pro shop in Invesco
Hey Fox,
Hope to see you on the field this week. I really enjoy your blogs and they are really insightfull with all the football stuff you talk about the inside stories you have.
Also I have to tip my hat you for being the right hand man behind the Darent Williams Legacy Memorial and the way you help ouot in the community. The leegue really needs more guys like you, a class act. Well good luck this Sunday and I hope you get another pick in this game.
By the way, Javon is also a really classy guy and for him to donate the money he did is just awsome. You really have to respect guys like that.
Lastly how is Mike Bell adapting to his new role right now? I know it must be difficult because he sees himself as a RB and not a FB, but from what I saw this weekend he looked good.
All Ready!
Julio from LA, Ca
Hey Fox!
Hope to see you in action Sunday!
Please, please, ask Shanahan to quit with the close games! I can’t take it anymore! Thursday AFA beat TCU by a fg in OT and similar to Sunday’s game TCU missed their fg attempt. Then you guys. Then the Rockies 9th inning comeback last night….mercy!! It is fun to celebrate afterwards though. Aren’t you glad you were drafted by Denver so you could blog to all us Bronco maniacs?
Foxworth - How dare you disrespect Andrew Mason - He gets so much more said is far fewer words - I’m glad for him that he doesn’t have to write all of your ramblings! And I’m glad for the Broncos that you have been hired to play the game and not write about it - I’m glad you are a Bronco - but our website rocks and odds are you wouldn’t have half the respect as a blogger if it wasn’t for the GREAT BLOGGER, Andrew Mason, making the community aware of such a great attribute to fans of the Great Bronco Nation! Just giving my respect where it is do - keep bloggin’ and get healthy - I’d rather see you play!!!
Dominique,
I’d like to thank you, Ms. Galloway, the kids, and everyone that has had a hand in the Darrent Williams Teen Memorial Center. I was overcome with emotions and gratitude in regards to the turnout on yesterday’s event. Demond was supposed to be interviewed for the radio show yesterday, but the producers called and said that there was such an overwhelming response from the players and others that there wouldn’t be time to fit it in. How exciting! You guys have so much love for Dee and so much love for the community that you took time on your day off to show some love in a major way. Thank you for allowing something positive to come from this tragedy. Rosalind and I had our daily before work phone call this morning and you should have heard the excitement in her voice as she talked about the event. Of course we were both in tears by the time we got off the phone. We’ve stated this a hundred times before and we’ll probably say it a thousand times more - but Thank you, thank you, thank you. The Denver Bronco organization and its fans are the absolute best! We love and appreciate you guys with all of our hearts. God bless you. And Dominique let’s get that ankle healed!
Hugs and Kisses,
Aunt Trese
Roz, Demond, and the Williams Family
P.S. It’s hard enough watching the games as it is, but these close games, Oh My Goodness!!!!!!!!!
Great blog, Domonique. The game on Sunday was crazy. That Janakowski has a leg on him! That first one had to be at least a 65-yarder, and the second was probably as long. I think — when a ball is kicked 65-70 yards and it hits a really thin upright — it is God giving Al Davis a big karma sandwhich. We were at the game and were completely exhausted at the end — can’t imagine how the team was feeling!
As for the charitable work you are doing, I wish I could have seen the Boys and Girls Club event. I did see coverage on the news, and it looks like it was a great event. The kids of Denver are lucky to have all of you. And, the work you do with College In Colorado is cool too. As a mom whose kids will be thinking of college in no time, I apprecaite the positive message you are sending. Are those really your parents in the new ads?
Good luck this weekend with the Jags — it wasn’t the same not seeing #22 on the field!
I think it’s so cool how you’ve been apart of the D-Will Teen Center and all the support you’ve provided to the kids over there. I don’t know if it’s out of the kindness of your heart, or the fact that you, D-Will, and KP were like the 3 Stooges when you came to the Broncos…but no matter what, thank you for everything you have done.
God Bless!
All Ready!
2 more things from last weeks blog that I didn’t get to post before this week. My contribution to your youtube addiction:

Dominique,
I have to say that after watching the last two games, I feel like we have a few people upstairs on our side. And it’s true….we do! We have everything we need to make it to the top this season! I’ll be watching and cheering!
Please get back on the field - we need you!
hey dom
i have a question for you does andrew mason still live with his mom in the basement? i dont why i asked you that but the guy just seems like the type that lives in the basement with his mom upstairs yelling all the time kinda like the attell comercials, or like the guy in the 40 yr old virgin with the toys and stuff. on a different note i was kinda courious to know who the fastest guy on the team was. Am kinda wondering if coach mike shannahan still makes a big deal out of the raiders orif the players still even take that rivalry serious, or if they consider the chargers the biggest threat in the afc west.
get back on the field and take one to the house i hate the jags. why? i dont know just do.
all ready
Hey Dom,
Once again… Great blog!!! What a nail bitter Sunday, it was an interesting win for us for the past two weeks but it just show us dat we never giveup. Hope ur doing well… like 2 see you out there this week. I didn’t know u had such a cold heart for Mason, I guess he deserves it but inlighten me!! And as for the angry fan the man has his right to his own opinion!!!
I was happy to hear what went down this week with The Darrent Williams Fundraiser. When I read the article it still brings tears to my eyes, but out of happiness!!! It is great to see all the players & fans show so much gratitude and support. I think no team is as special as the Broncos organization… which gives me so much pride of being a Bronco fan!! What a special friend & teamate u have in Javon Walker to do something so generous but neccessary for the Teen Center. God Bless u for everything u have done as well. Dom, If u can do me a favor and tell Javon that I said “God Bless his Beautiful heart and If he’s still interested in becoming a cameraman I have a job 4 him… lol JK” personally from Jaya!!! GO BRONCOS!!!!

This comment is for OrangeCrush_in_SANDIEGO, thats funny that you mentioned that little “twitch” thing that Mike Bell does because if you notice, Javon Walker does something similar after he makes plays!
lol…He does a little shoulder twitch…watch for it Sunday, its cute. I’ve never noticed Mike Bell but I’ll check it out this week. Oh and by the way, appreciate the Bronco love comin from Charger territory! Much luv.
