The broncos should go with a 3-4 defense, sort of the way the chargers is. I think Webster would be a great fit rushing from the outside, allowing him to play like a Sean Merriman. The have 3 bigs upfront. This would make the defense as a whole 100 times better. Too bad they didnt try and get Jonathan Vilma...

I think we've had an excellent off season so far. The Henry, Graham and Bly pickups really were exactly what we needed. Throw in Stokely and the additions to the coaching staff and watch out. It's looking like we'll be able to keep Wilson and by bringing in some defensive end and safety help via the draft we should be set.

I think you have to rank the job the Broncos have done this off season in the top 3 of any NFL team, and we still have the draft to look forward to.

I can't wait for the season to start!

I agree, Plummer fans are cry babies. Can't argue with the fact that Cutler did a much better job. Yes the team lost more games, but the defense was also giving up an average of 28 points per game (140 pts. in Cutler's 5 starts). As far as Ted saying that they were on pace with the salary cap room, HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT? We have to trade AL WILSON away to save cap room. We need Kubiak back because it seems that when he was here, they didn't make STUPID decisions.

Why are the Plummer fans cry babies? I have always been a Jake fan, but it is obvious to me that he quit earlier than his benching!

Fabulous job in free agency. The offense has a definite 1998 feel to it.
The bes blocking tight end in the business (Graham/Carswell). A receiving TE who can stretch the field (Scheffler/Sharpe). A one cut running back with great vision and power (Henry / TD) Big fast receivers who can stretch the field or catch in traffic (Marshall, Walker/Smith, Mcaffery)

On defense adding an opportunistic corner like Bly could net incredible results. Teams will throw at him more than ever with Champ on the other side. His picks should surely go up. Hopefully he can be signed long term.
Big Daddy shoul help alot in Bates scheme.

Well done Ted. I've been a Bronco's fan since 1963 and do truly appreciate the proffesionalism and "Win the Championship" attitude you and Mike have brought to this franchise.

With your recent additions and impact players in the draft I feel you could have both an elite offense and defense next year.

Oh yeah, if there's any way you can get Laron Landry we'd be contenders for years and a SB favorite this year.

First of all, Jake The Mistake needs to go away from the broncos once and for all. He knew at the start of the year that he wasnt going to be our long term super bowl answer and so he played like it. Jay cutler will win us super bowls. Thats plural.
Secondly, getting travis henry over thomas jones is a much better deal. We would have had to give up a second rounder in order to get him and at this point or defense needs to be helped with those type of draft picks, and we cannot afford to give them up. Thomas jones is older than Henry and i think alot of people forgot about the years where he kicked around in Arizona and Tampa Bay, so hes got alot of mileage on his tires. Henry gives us more of a threat because hes a one cut power runner who can move very quickly in the open field. He did have problems earlier but you can tell he's grown up since then, and by coming to the broncos where you have guys like Rod Smith and John Lynch you dont even think about doing that kind of stuff again.

We are going to be so sick next year its not even funny.

I would have prefered Thomas Jones, but Henry is the second best option. I just hope we have an escape clause in case he gets busted again and suspended for a YEAR.

LetPlummerPlay,

Shannahan is the best coach the Broncos have ever had. Plummer didn't perform at the high expectations Shanny has. Simple as that. The Broncos would be fools to dump Shanny...what are we going to do? Go back to Wade Phillips? Hire Marty? Give me a break...we got a top guy who has a system that wins football games. He just needs to the players that will not only win football games but win championships. We are close, we just need a few more key players. A Franchise RB wouldn't hurt especially. :)

Something that the Broncos always used to look for first in a layer was their character. Once upon a time, they had nothing but class players and i think since 1999 they have had only one rookie hold out of training camp (I think it was Tatum Bell). Now not only are we entertaining guys like Terrell Owens, Ricky Williams, and guys like Patrick Kerney who only see dollar signs, but now we have Travis Henry who not only had a substance abuse problem, but was not much of a team player. He demanded to be traded when McGahee surfaced in Buffalo and took his spot. What do you think is going to happen when the next Mike Anderson or Olanis Gary or Rueben Droughns or some other unknown running back emerges as the number one guy?
