I say get rid of him. He has not done very much for the broncos. He seems slow and not tall enough like the up and coming TE. And also i have noticed he drops the ball often. Time to move on Alexander-but thanks for trying.

Gotta agree with TwoNine - "pretty clear that Scheffler is going to be the man from this point onward, now that he’s been hooking up with Cutler regularly and making plays. I’d say that if Alexander is happy in a secondary sort of role that he could come back, but I don’t see the Broncos wanting to spend a bunch of money (I guess his contract is up?) on a position that’s filled for the foreseeable future by Scheffler. I wouldn’t be surprised if another team offers more."

On that note, veteran leadership is hard to come by, especially by a guy that is as press friendly as Alexander. He's a great player and an even better person. Hopefully he can find a place that he fits in, can play and contribute. Even better, I hope that place can still be Denver

Yeah, Alexander is good player. Very solid. Nice to have around, and certainly didn't hurt the offense any. Its important to have guys that don't accept losing, and how really have the drive to win.

I think its pretty clear that Scheffler is going to be the man from this point onward, now that he's been hooking up with Cutler regularly and making plays. That said, two good tight ends are better than 1, and it would definitely be good to have some more senior influences around the offense next season. Looks to be a young group taking over, with Cutler, Scheffler, and probably Brandon Marshall all getting a lot of playing time.

Alexander is a great tight end, but he is also a veteran. I am not asying get rid of him, but make sure he teaches everyone else the reins. Mainly Tony. But I still want to see him in more games. If he got out there more maybe he could make some big plays

Obviously with Shef starting and the connection he and Cutty had, Alexander's production was gonna go down. But I still think tha he stepped up his game for us both when we needed a catch and when we needed a block. Thats the reason Putz is gone cause Alexander was able to do what he couldnt. I grown to like this Alexander guy! Hes a real solid player. Not that it means anything but he's like K.J., they're both press friendly. He tells it like it is.
