We win!
Me and my main man Hamza Abdullah filled in at safety. Hamza is definitely one of my closest friends on the team. I’ve talked about him a lot on the blog before and how he’s a very good young safety. We were able to start together at safety for the Kansas City game, and all week practicing together we just had a great time. We had fun communicating and making plays all week during practice. It was a whole lot of fun, and then of course the game was even more fun. There’s definitely something special about playing and performing with somebody that you have a pretty good friendship with. While you’re on the field you feel really close to everybody out there and you want everybody to do well, but there’s something different about being out there with guys that you really care about. I think the people in the secondary, we all really care about each other and we’re close friends.
It was just a great performance by the team overall, and there were some great plays in the secondary. There were a bunch of interceptions, and unfortunately I was not able to get one, but it doesn’t really matter. We won. That’s all that matters, because we are now winners. I like being a winner. Being a loser stinks. I don’t think I want to be a loser anymore. I’d like to win a lot more games.
Something else that happened in the game that was amazing was that Karl Paymah got an interception. I was very happy to see it. Hamza kind of tipped it to him and it was a great play, but we always joke around with Karl about not having any interceptions in his career, and not having hands, and jokes like that. But he made a play, and I guess the jokes have to stop. Nah, jokes never stop around here. He’ll still get it. It’s not like it was a clean pick. It was kind of a tip that fell into his lap, so I think we’ll make fun of him about that.
We decided earlier in the week, on Wednesday, as a team that we needed to change the culture of our team and rededicate ourselves to winning, rededicate ourselves to preparing well, and just recognize that time was running out on our season. There was no more time for growing and getting better, it was time for us to start playing better. There was a lot of talk throughout the week, and the captains of the team and the leaders of the team spoke out several times to make sure we were all focused and practiced as well as we could, which would prepare us for the game on the coming weekend. Before the game, D.J. Williams had a quote that was pretty accurate. We had a bunch of talk throughout the week and motivation, but D.J. said to the team, “Let’s let the pads do the talking,” and we did.
I definitely had on my big safety pads, and I guess there was a point when I was a very good, promising young corner. These days, I still think I’m a good, promising young player, but it appears that at least in the eyes of the Denver Broncos coaching staff, I am a safety. I’ve started more games this year at safety, and I think I’ve probably started as many games in my career at safety than I have at corner at this point, which is incredibly shocking to me. Looking back on it as I was coming into the league, it’s something that I never expected to have to do. But it’s working out great for this team so far, and myself so far.
We just had a lot of fun, on defense especially, throughout the game. We communicated well and we made a lot of big plays, and we were excited to see everybody make plays. I think the chemistry, especially in the secondary, was really great. We were on the same page for the entire game, and times when Hamza would miss a check, I was there to put us in the right defense, and vice versa. As for the rest of the defense, we put a lot of pressure on our corners this game, and they stepped up. The whole defense stepped up. The defense had three interceptions, a fumble recovery for a touchdown and four sacks.
I had an opportunity to get an interception. I think I was more surprised that the guy threw it than anything, because I had good coverage on an early third down in the game, and I tried to fight off the receiver with my left hand and catch the ball with my right hand, but I wasn’t able to pull that move off. Maybe next time I’ll try to get two hands on it and not worry about the receiver so much. I’m definitely a little ticked off that I didn’t get that interception, because you don’t get many chances for interceptions. Even if it’s a tough play to make, you need to make those. It seems like everybody has interceptions these days, except for me. Even Elvis Dumervil has an interception, and young Marcus Thomas has an interception, and just about everybody in the secondary. Well, none of the safeties have interceptions, so I guess I need to be the first safety to get an interception. I’m definitely going to do my part to try to make plays for this team and for me.
Unfortunately, earlier in the week a college teammate of mine and a pretty close friend, Curome Cox, got cut. It was upsetting, but it’s the nature of this business. There’s always surprises and curveballs that you never expect to come out of left field. That was definitely a surprise. He was a great player for us on special teams and a versatile player on defense that filled in when necessary. But that is the nature of this business. One week we’re teammates, the next week you’re home. But I actually talked to him on Monday morning, and he is signing with the Houston Texans, which I was very excited to hear. I’m happy for him to be employed again and what’s even better is we get to play against him. That’s exciting. I like playing against my college teammates or ex-Broncos. It just gives you a little something else, a little extra bragging rights. But like I said, I’m happy for him. He went on down to Houston where there’s a lot of Broncos in the front office. I assume that had something to do with it, that they remember him and his talent when he was here.
Speaking of playing against ex-college teammates, we get the Tennessee Titans on Monday night, and they have Randy Starks, a college teammate of mine. We came in the same class and did some great things at Maryland together — conference championships, beating Tennessee in the Peach Bowl and blowing out West Virginia in the Gator Bowl. We just had a great time at the University of Maryland and he’s playing well out in Tennessee. I’m proud of him and look forward to the opportunity to gain some bragging rights over another player.
The challenge of going against Vince Young should be a great one for this defense. We’ve played some mobile quarterbacks, but I think Vince is past mobile. I wouldn’t describe him as mobile. He is dynamic. He is super-mobile. He is a great athlete. He’s still a young quarterback, which is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it works to your advantage to be young and super-mobile.
Speaking of Young, Selvin Young had a great game, who I believe is Vince Young’s old roommate. Selvin had a great game for us and he’s been stepping up since Travis Henry has gone down. I think that’s one of the really great things about this team that we have, is everyone is expected to fill in or fulfill whatever role is asked of them. They all do a great job, and Selvin had a 100-yard game against a tough Kansas City defense. Offensively, I think we made a lot of plays that we had to make, when it was time to get first downs to put the game away or when the defense needed a rest. Our offense came through for us, and that’s all we can ask for. But again, Selvin had a great game filling in, and he makes some cuts that would make us nervous on defense, and I’m sure they’re not cuts that are taught, because they are some dangerous moves trying to make people miss in the backfield. But he seems to be able to pull it off and make plays, and that’s great. He has his own style of running and it’s working well in our system right now. He had some really long runs, which we love to see, because we’re on defense and long runs are cool.
I got invited to some sort of conference on kids dropping out of school and ways to prevent it. We’re supposed to have some local politicians and things there, so I’m looking forward to that. It’s not for a while though, it’s on December 5, but nothing else is new. Just the same old, same old, running the writing group at the Boys and Girls Club on Tuesdays and hanging out there on Fridays. Same old, same old.
Veteran’s Day was this weekend, which is definitely something that I think deserves to be mentioned in the blog, especially knowing how many servicemen and women respond to the blog. So just to let you know, we are all very appreciative for what you do, keeping us safe and protected and free, and getting us a day off is always great. Well, actually we don’t get a day off. We have to work on Mondays.
We had to be in this Monday, win or lose, to watch film and get better, because we’re still not where we need to be, and we still haven’t lived up to the talent that this team has yet, but we have a good start and the culture of this team has been “de-volving” back to the team that we were my rookie year and years before that. The culture that this team had, just a commitment among guys, has come back to the forefront. I think it had been lost over the last couple years, especially with the influx of a lot of new players and some major changes, it just kind of got lost in the shuffle. Some of those things that are important to the Broncos kind of got lost in the shuffle, but they are no longer lost. The professionalism and accountability that we are known for is now once again our trademark.
And I hate to end the blog on a somber note, but I have to. A very important person in my life is leaving me. It’s kind of depressing, but exciting at the same time. Charlie O’Brien, one of our Web site interns who you guys know as the Blog Master, has accepted a new job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So we’re all proud of him and happy that he’s moving up in the world, but I need to search for a new Blog Master. We’re losing the Blog Master, so someone else in the Broncos organization, just like the players do, needs to step up and take the reigns of typing up my blog for me so all the fans can enjoy it weekly.
Anyway, thanks everybody for your support, and thank you for sticking with us through the hard times. I think we’re out of the woods as a team … knock on wood. All Ready.

Dom,
Nothing but positive vibes from El Paso, TX! It seems to be working, have a great game Monday night.
Frank in El Paso, TX
Fox,
I wish I shared your “Out of the woods” pollyannaish outlook, however we played a team that was to a large degree dessimated as well. They have NO QB. Their superstar RB is OUT! Their offensive line, like ours is makeshift. However, I really LOVE the win, but I add caution to you words. Until we can win 3-4 in a row, and look like a team that has found its stride, Im skeptical. Additionally, as good as your friend Hamza looked, Lynch looks everybit as bad. What are your thoughts about not picking up Greg Wesley from KC in preseason, when we had the chance. Dude laid some wood out there. In your opinion, would that be good or not. At least he’s someone who we’ve actually seen play, unlike some of the rejects Shanny’s manage to bring under the wire…
Thanks
Fox,
Great game to you and the team on Sunday. It doesn’t matter who you line up against on Sunday. A win is a win! I say that because I think I’m in the majority when I say the talent is there. Despite the “injuries” there are still playmakers on that field and it showed on Sunday.
Besides, with that homestand record in KC, can anyone out there tell met that there’s never been a down season for them in all those years. YES THERE HAS!
My point is the are extremely tough at home. They have been for a LONG TIME! so to line up take the snaps and put it out like that….koodos to you and the boys!
KEEP ON KEEPIN ON! GO GET EM’ BOYS
ALL READY!!!
Hey Fox,
First off let me say OUTSTANDING game, Fox! I am so proud of you and the way you all played. Now THAT was Broncos football! Reading your entry, I could tell that you all were out there having fun. I felt you guys were fired up…and it showed. Great job!
I screamed so loud for you and your ‘almost interception’ I was hoarse. I want one for you so bad. But it’s coming. I feel it. Especially playing the way you have been? It’s inevitable….
Congratulations on the win. We enjoyed EVERY MINUTE of that a** whippin’.
When I woke up Monday morning I felt like it was Christmas!
..”NOW YOOOOUUUU crank that soulja boy”!!!
Bring it Monday night, ok?
All Ready!!

Good game Dom! Next time you will come through with that interception i’m sure. Covering a guy like Bowe has to be hard can you talk a little about playing against a reciever that big. He looked bigger than his listed stats. Everyone keeps talking about how bad the Chief’s are but there defense has been playing well all season long. Plus it hasn’t been a cakewalk playing in KC in years past either. We’ve had some close games there but we have also had some pretty bad ones too, so to come out with a win is definitely a PLUS! Keep up the good work Dom and go ahead and put that win streak together. Undefeated the rest of the season? Sounds good to me!
Dom -
Awesome game! Keep stepping it up, we the Broncos faithful are proud of you. Just wondering though, why don’t they put you and Hamza out there every week, you guys look like you really had it all clickin’.
Also as a swim coach I just wanted to say thank you for being such a great role model in the community, we really need those in the world we live in, someone who encourages kids – & helps them make wise decisions. Thanks for you dedication to the Denver community it means lots!
It’d be great to see you guys go 11-5, (knock off those stinking Chargers, who are overrated…) & with the rest of the schedule it’s definently possible, keep the momentum going from this week, and remember ‘LET YOUR PADS DO THE TALKING!’
YOU GUYS WON AT ARROWHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOOHOO!!!!!!!
I’m so glad to have discovered your blog, D!
Add my words of support to the others already here.
Also, just as puzzled about the year so far. I’m a big fan of defense, and I watch all the analysis shows on NFL network, HBO, etc.
They all say, “gotta fix the line (O&D)”. Well, duh! thanks a lot!
Congrats on getting elected players’ rep!
You say the team is working on the details, and it’s probably all details, you know (the devil’s in ‘em, they say). I agree you guys have all the components needed, just need to get it all clicking all the time.
I don’t know how you do it, given the team’s losses this year. I was a big fan of Darrent’s, and it broke my heart when he was killed. I still almost cry thinking about it. That’s partly selfish, ’cause I’ll miss the pleasure of seeing him running around, making plays. It’s almost like this team has an injury to it’s soul, and it just takes time and persistence to heal.
I see you guys working hard, and I think you do honor to your fallen teammates. Keep playing with your hearts and minds, and the soul will come back. I know it.
Hey–YOU GUYS WON AT ARROWHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great game–all around! It was good to see the old Broncos back on the field! Just keep on taking it one game at a time and piling up the W. I really liked former Avs forward Danny Hinote and one year before the season started he said that he liked being the underdog and that he wanted other teams to count the Avs out. I hope that you guys can adopt that attitude thus making the wins you earn all the more special. You can definately sneak up on some teams and overtake them. This Broncos team is talented and with all the new guys the chemistry hasn’t quite taken its full potential. So get in there and dog fight it out for the next 7. Keep those INTs coming and bring one in for the saftey’s!!
Hey Fox,
Great game by you and Hamza both.
I thought you were going to get that pick early in the game. It looked like the receiver (Bowe?) kept you from getting that left arm around. Anyway pick or not great job on that play. I saw your commercial for the first time this weekend, that comment your mom makes at the end was pretty funny.
Have another good one Monday Fox!!!
Foxy !! We did it !! First I wanted to know if Hamza had any nicknames around the locker room ? Back to football….The first time we beat the Chiefs in Kansas City since 2002 and they best us 10 out of the last 12. Wow. Hamza should have had a couple of picks that game and that pick you dropped….. man I thought you had it.Champ and Dre’ got their second and third interceptions. I am happy that Hamza is starting but I loved Nick Ferguson and I am kind of down that he is benched. I have mixed feelings but as long as we win it’s all good. Karl Paymah 1/4 of the best rookie cornerbacks in 2005 (Darrent, You , Ellis Hobbs) got a lucky boune like you said but as long as he gets it who cares lol. Champ must have felt like he was a WR the way Brodie threw him that ball . Ian Gold was a beast . Nate Webster got the second defensive TD of the season. I am ovin it. One thing I was upset about was that cheap shot on B-Marsh. How did you feel about that ?……Well bring on them Titans MNF in Denver …..LETS GO BRONCOS. You might have another shot to do “the penguin dance”. Let’s go get em. ALL READY !!
Fox, Way to hold your own this week! You have a big bright future ahead of you. Dont listen to the fools who try to knock down this win. Its huge anytime you beat a division rival especially at Arrowhead. Keep up the hard work and prep on and off the field becuase it sure showed in the game!
Go Broncos
Domonique, hell of a game Sunday.
You talked about kind of transitioning from corner to safety. I personally think of you as a corner who can hit. So when the situation allows us to get you on the field at safety, that is a huge benefit having your speed back there. Your versatility back there makes you one of the most valuable players on the team. We all know you could start at corner anywhere in this league. And I can understand that it has to be a little frustrating having to play out of position here. But you are such a huge fan favorite and such a solid player that I hope you stay in Denver for your whole career. I know you probably try not think about your pending restricted free agency this offseason, but I think I speak for all of Broncos Country in hoping that you stay here and finish off your career in Denver.
That said, great game Sunday, and good luck against the Titans.
Dave,
Memphis, TN
Fox, great game man. The secondary was all over the field.
No worries about the switch to safety. It helps the team and it’s a compliment to your abilities as a football player not just as a corner back. A lot of us fans recognize that and appreciate it. I made the switch myself my senior year in HS. Playing 3 years as a corner then being asked to fill in at safety was kinda weird at first. I saw a lot more action there though so I grew into the position.
Anyway, get us a pick this week and keep the good vibes flowing.
I hope that KP got the “GAME BALL” for his interception! LOL!!!
Glad to see and hear that the defense is working so well together. It was only a matter of time before people stopped TALKING about all the talent, and actually SEE the talent
Do what ya do on Monday night!
All Ready!
Hey Foxy D,
First, THANK YOU to our veterans, God Bless You!!
Proud to say we won in KC!!!!! It feels great to win and beat those Chiefs… ha ha :sticks tongue out:
The offense and defense played GREAT on Sunday. I’ve never been so proud to be a Bronco fan. Thank you for making my day – oh and what a day it was… WOOOO HOOO!
You guys really came out on Sunday to play, that’s what makes it worth the while when you have a team willing to give it their all and play till that clock says 0:00. I would highly suggest taking after the one & only John Elway… doesn’t matter what position you play, you guys are a team and you never stop playing till there’s no time left. I remember Elway saying that, I’ve read that quote a million times and it doesn’t just apply to football, it applies to life.
I know you guys are capable of winning every game we have left this season, but you have to minds to the challenge. Play like a team and again… DON’T STOP till the clock says zero. If you want inspiration… take after Elway, what he said about giving it his all till the very end should inspire all of you on the team. Just b/c you’re ahead doesn’t mean some miracle won’t come out of nowhere and help the other team win. I saw that on Sunday… you guys held them back and what I love most, is that you guys never let them get a touchdown. That shows teamwork and perseverance – never giving up. Great game, now bring home another one of those on Monday – go get those Titans!!!!!!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!
TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL, FOXWORTH!
Hey Fox, I personally feel a bit more comfy with you at safety because you have coverage & make-up speed. If there’s been one thing that has frustrated me all season, it’s been watching our safeties chasing receivers down from behind because they’re more hitters than coverage guys. So take heart, you’re a comfort back there. However, I would like to see you put a bit more weight on if you’re gonna primarily play safety. The weight can only help with the hits you’re already willing to deal out. And tell Hamza the Pomona faithful are keeping an eye on him way out there in Denver
Gain some pounds and you’ll be a more stronger Safety. You and Hamza need to learn how to catch, lol!
^ hahaha
Great game Fox! The defense stepped up big time, but ya’ll will need to step up even more vs. the Titans. Plus my girlfriend is a huge Titans fan so you especially need to win this for me and my bragging rights haha. But on a serious note, I love DJ’s quote: “Let the pads do the talkin.” That was our football team’s motto back in high school. Make that your team motto on Monday night and stick it to em!
All Ready
Hey Dom,
It was kind of cool gearing you talk about being a safety, I don’t know if you remember, but during preseason I said “I think moving to safety would be a good carrier move for you”. Obviously it not like the coaches played you because something a little fan said, but at the same time it’s cool to think I know a little bit of what I am talking about. I saw you getting in there ready to lay some big hits on Sunday, and that was really cool because someone with your speed flying at you could hurt quite a bit. I know you’re not the biggest Safety, but your ability to read the field is really starting to show. I think Elvis really came through for us and proved why we didn’t need Rice, but it is kind of scary that the colts picked him up. Our D won this game for us, and I was a little mad at the offense for not giving you more time to rest after a few great turnovers.
This is actually in response to Mr. Hogblog up there. This wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had to respond to the Hog…Man Hog, you’re not a pessimist, you’re worse than a pessimist! You’re like drinking battery acid on a 120 degree day out in Death Valley. The glass isn’t half-empty for you, it’s dry and calcified and crushed into a million pieces all over the table. Why didn’t you just say that Hamza sucks at safety? Better yet, why don’t you email or post up a comment for John Lynch about how you feel about Hamza since Lynch has had nothing but praises for the guy? Hmmmm, let’s see…your opinion or Lynch’s opinion?…Your opinion or Lynch’s opinion?…Your opi–Nope! that’s it, I think I’ll go with the professionals. Lynch wins. Sorry Hog! So sad, too bad!!! And while I’m at it, what’s with the, “Why didn’t we pick up this guy or that guy?” schtick? Couldn’t you think of anything more…..worthless and unhelpful to say? Here we are 10 weeks into the season and you’re thinking about a guy we didn’t sign in the preseason! How come we just don’t hire you since you seem to have all the answers we need? Oh, that’s right, playing Madden isn’t the same as the real thing…
Hey, love ya as Bronco Brethren, but otherwise? You’re a dork dude.
Good job sunday man i wanted you to get that pick too. Tell shanny about Marshall getting punched in the dingleberries because that guy should get fined for that
good gaame on sunday! i cant wait till monday night football!!!!! the monday night game will be kinda tuff for me though because the titans are my second favorite team and vine young is one of my faavorite quarter backs! but i am definetly still cheering for my broncos
anyways…good luck on monday! (hope you can get a pick!!!)
GO BRONCOS!!!
PARIS (#1 BRONCO FAN!!!!)
sry vince not vine!!! LOL! sry!
Mr. Foxworth:
Great game, and thanks for the sentiment from a vet. All year I’ve been thinking to myself that Bates’s defense needed speed at the safety position. I’ve also been a big supporter of Hamza since his arrival in Denver. For a young man who has not started very much he played a very good game. Good enough in fact that as the game progressed I saw the KC offense giving him, his height, and his speed a lot more respect than in the first half. As I said at the beginning of the season, Hamza is our secret weapon in the secondary. I know it has to be frustrating playing a position that is more by coaching decisions than by choice but I think it is a great move. Your speed is outstanding for a safety and your read and react skills are getting better and better. Add this to the fact that one of your greatest strengths as a pure football player is your ability to support the run. You are great at it. When you play safety I see you making a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage and I see offensive schemes having to take you into account specifically as opposed to simply adding a generic safety to what they have to be concerned about. Please send our respects to Hamza for a job well done and please tell Elvis Dumervil that he is the most under rated pass rusher in the entire league. That guy is scary! If you look at the percentages of his sacking a quarterback that results in a fumble the numbers are ridiculous and easily the highest in the NFL. Keep your mind set. With it, your physical and mental prowess, and your God given respect for what it takes to play in the NFL I know you will do great things.
All Ready….Dominate!!!
Mike in San Diego
Fox make sure you read this one!
As I was watching the game I noticed the angle of your head was odd. Now maybe you like it that way, but My thought was if you angle your face mask down just a bit you could see better. The two bars that wrap around your face seem to be and nose or eye level. Any way great Job you and Hamza Abdullah did a great job Abdullah was nocking people around like lynch does but with a little more hight and speed. DOn’t tell lynch that cause I love the guy but you guys did such a great job well done. I will be there monday night. Rock Vince…….
So fox where do you see yourself playing your best at safety or corner. Personally I’d rather see you at the nickel spot because it benefits our team more when we are healthy enough to not need you to start at safety. I LOVE JOHN LYNCH but i think he has been losing it slowly, and by it i don’t mean heart or determination cuz that’s always gonna be there with him , but i think physically he’s not still one of the best safeties. I think the best thing for the team is to aquire a great playmaker at safety like ed reed. Then we can use you at corner. with you at the third cornerback spot we would easily have the most depth in our secondary. But i know you probably just want to start and play and contribute the most you can which is very admirable. But i think if a guy has the talent and potential to start but yet is willing to be a backup to benefit the team well that says alot about his character and i think there are few guys in this league who would do that and i believe your one of them. A lot of guys would just complain about playing time or demand a trade, we saw that scenario playout with ashley lelie. And we all know that didn’t work out to well for him. Anyway good luck next week and let me know what position do you see yourself being most dominate at in your next blog.

fox ur sweet and a awesome bronco player!keep on gettin them and keep up the hard work! GO DENVER!
ALL READY!
Fox, I find it funny that you are suprised to be playing safety. You suck at corner and playing safety must be Shanahans last attempt to justify your roster spot. Don’t miss Curome Cox too much, you will be joining him in Houston before the start of next season. Just be ready, because you too will soon join our minor league team.
great game! it made my monday wonderful the girls at work know how moody i get when it comes to my broncos!
see you monday night!
Fox,
I am proud of you guys. It was clear that the defense stepped it up. It also seemed that we did less substitution and relied more on the players indivdual talent. Whatever the reason the difference was fun to watch. This week at work the Broncos haters were not to be found. Thanks for getting those folks off my back.
If you guys have fun, play for each other and stick together as a team the result will take care of itself. That’s what we all want for the team and you.
Sincerely, Jim Kennedy
BIG UPS FOX….
GREAT WIN
I thought u guys played great. The D was all over the place I know in some plays it must of felt to that “QB” like there were 15 of ya. Im up in Connecticut and its pretty much Patriots over here but I always enjoy talking smack to them about the BRONCOS. Hope ya guys play with the same fire and determination ya did sunday. Cant wait till Monday. You guys better be on ur toes because he will throw one or two of those freebies trying to make a play so ya should have fun.
Good Luck on monday Fox….
GO BRONCOS……..
Fox, you finaly got some love on the responces this week im so happy bronco fans arent so mad or embrassed to leave responces. You had that pick man you had it right to you and you droped it nice hands jk. Hey man your gonna be a good player dont listen to all the critics and do what you wanna do. I thought every time you play corner you play pretty good probowl like all the douters words use them as fuel. I know i do and thats all you can do prove them wrong and show the type of player you are. What can i say about selvin young, the man just produces looks like barry sanders on the cuts he makes i havent seen cuts like that from a bronco running back whoa i saw that and i instantly saw the talent he has. dgilmer is just jealos he doesnt play football nothing but an angry fan. Hamza dear lord he was all over the place what can i say it was an overall good performance.
All ready
Great win guys! it feels good to go to school wearing my Brandon Marshall jersey and not get made fun of, might sound wierd but i have worn broncos stuff for the last 97 days starit and after the chargers loss there were a lot of disrespectful comments shot towards the Broncos. Keep it up and have a GREAT game on monday night all of america will be watching again, BEAT THEM TITANS!
Fox,
Nice game man!! When it comes to November games in KC, it’s NOT about style, it’s all about getting the “W”! Your speed at Safety is a nice change, something I think we needed!
Fox, between you and me, I think your blog is quietly being spied on by other NFL players! Did you see someone else on Sunday blatantly STOLE the TD celebration I had suggested! Not sure who it was, but someone walked up and gave the ball to the Military personnell behind the endzone! If it wasn’t such a classy move I’d be annoyed!
See, other players from other teams are reading your blog, stealing ideas, … it’s not right, they stole the idea from us!! (Man, I sound like a combination of Gollum and Al Davis!)
Beware of the “2004 Falcons” game this week against Young! In 04 the Falcons got OWNED by KC the week prior, like the Titans did last week, then Vick comes to Denver and puts up 300-400yds on us. Running QB’s always worry me!
Good luck man! Play hard, go hard, GO BRONCOS!!
OK seriously?! dgilmer777_la, you need to shut your mouth! Where do you come off saying that crap to Fox?? He takes the time to write out a nice blog each and every Tuesday then he reads all the responses we leave for him. Give the guy some respect, he deserves it. If you don’t like him or think that he’s a substandard football player, then you can kindly leave this blog and stop wasting everybody’s time. BTW Fox has shown heart and passion for the Broncos. Its too late for him; he’s one of us now. You’re probably one of the punks that was calling into the radio show bad mouthing Jay. You should be ashamed of yourself and find a new football team to watch. Maybe the Raiders will take you. Back off my boys!
Domonique,
You made some really nice plays on Sunday. The important thing is that you contribute to victory and not necessarily whether you get any interceptions or not. For the Snow College Badgers, the #1 junior college football team in the land out of Ephraim, Utah, I’m a halftime radio commentator and the important thing is that I do a nice job on the air announcing my stats and making good points during my analysis. I can only do what I can do, as sometimes I have an opportunity to do great things but for the most part, I only have the opportunity to do the expedient things which lead to success. I know that one of these weeks you’re going to make a game-changing interception and perhaps return it to the house. Congratulations on your excellence. Your’e swiftly becoming one of my favorite Broncos.
That was a nice game. It was nice to see you guys get a blowout win and not have to have a last second field goal. Just like you want the bragging rights over your college teammate, I am hoping for a win so I can have bragging rights over my brother since he is a Titans fan. Prediction, on Monday night you get an interception. Your due.
Go Broncos!
Cornersfan ~ Did you see Fox get beat all night by Hines Ward, ahh you missed that huh. All anyone could talk about were his ten tackles, had he stopped Hines from catching the ball the game would never have been as close as it was. Indy passed all over him and he missed tackles all day long against KC. Read masons gameday blog where my point was noted by AM. Dude sucks and will be gone very soon. I have never bashed Cutler and I am a huge Denver fan. I am just sick of the subpar players that are on the team, they are killing us.
Dom, great win last week, and great possitioning on the almost pick, must have been the sun in your eyes, good game though. Great on DEFENSE, Offense and special teams. Good overall effort. I look forward to watching the TENNESSEE game, i think it will show alot about our team with how we play in front of national tv. Good luck and hope you can put on a show monday night. Good luck.
P.S. to HOGBLOG, whats up with all of the negetivity? we held the chiefs to 67 yards, and had 4 TO, 4 sacks, defensive TD, with a makeshift team!! Even though the chiefs are going through the same thing, theyve played every game this year tough, down to the last few minutes, until this week, when we destroyed them..and every team is good in the nfl, so this win, AT Arrowhead, is huge. Chill with the negative vibes and support the boys in blue!!!
Hey Fox I was just watching the highlights of the Chief’s game were you took a forearm swipe at Bowe’s legs and knocked him down. I missed that play helping my kids get dressed to go to their grandparents house. If asked would you try and put on more weight to play safety fulltime. I got a person to be your Blog Master replacement. Me….I’m your boy…..I got a little skill doing that….Tell the Broncos you want to hire me n get me a spot up in the headquarters and we can knock this thing out every week. What do you say??? Keep up the good work bro and I can’t wait to see my guys on MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!
To “Doctorising”…Ok fine, you win “Biggest Suck Up Award” for this week. Maybe we can have your post and unbelieveable lack of info as a new award category….”I wanna be like Doc”. Dude, if you really believe that Im dark and that my knowledge is from Madden (a reference commonly used by non athletes because its their only knowledge of playing real football) then jump off your pollyanna bandwagon and tell me what is so magnificient about a win against a bad team on the road? All the experts I hear (Pros by the way) all agree that we’re a team in transition, with a defense that had to be scraped, while kicking out players who would better fit in this newer system. And you think talking about Wesley is BAD! Dude, take off the skirt, and grow a pair… Additionally, if you think making those references about Fox/Hamza are harsh…too bad. Sometimes the truth is the best medicine. So continue to use your sports thesaurus to look up football terms, and maybe you can get Foxworth to buy you breakfast on 16th street some morning. You mistake truth for darkness. When the truth is dark>>>>>It’s just dark! Next class on Sport 101 starts in 10 minutes rookie. Be there…PLEASE! By the way, Greg Wesley is BETTER than any FS/SS we have right now, including Lynch….

If were a betting man, first I’d bet you’re a loser, I’d bet you never played football, can’t get or keep a girl, so you take your frustrations out on folks that you really want to be like. Did you graguate college. How about graduate college in 3.5 five years as Fox did? Oh, how many NFL games have you played in loser? Many us us set on the side and second guess these players we never have had a uniform on. Can you run a 40 in 4.35 seconds? Loser like you just need to get lost and find a Pop Warner team that you “might”be able to keep their shoes clean. Last thing loser dgilmer77, if you really want to test your skills, meet me the Broncos game Monday for some one-on-one football in the lot. Maybe you could run fast. Loser
HOGBLOG:
Is another loser. Never played football, and if he did, never played college ball or, excuse me but am I the only one that knows hogblog loser is not on any NFL roster. Its amazing how losers contend to know the sport so well, but never played at this level. The best thing for losers as hogblog and dgilmer77 is not even Pop Warner. My son could run over these two loser and other losers who waste time talking, instead of doning the pads and getting on the field. You two losers probably are like the losers who play flag football, living out your loser thoughts of why didn’t make the junior high team. Every player on the Broncos deserves to be there. It is losers as you two that screw things up and give the sport blemises. If you were 1/10th as good as Fox, Jay or anyone else, you might be on a high school team now. Get lost losers. Get a life losers-
To HOGBLOG,
A win is a win, idiot. Don’t let me catch you speaking negative again or you’re going to be banned from this whole site.
Hey DBJL6987:
WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE! While I agree that HOGblog just might be a deuche-bag, we don’t need that kind of language on a “family program”. Can you please clean up your words? Surely your vocabulary isn’t that limited.
Fox:
You’re right, team chemistry is very important. When you can feel comfortable about the guys around you, and can trust that you’ll be watching each other’s backs, great things will happen.
It has been said that it is better to be trusted than to be loved. A guy can love his wife, but will he trust her with his inner-most personal feelings? Similarly, when it comes to football, can you trust that the next guy will be there for you and cover for you when you make a mistake? It’s so vital when it comes to being a team that you can trust each other. I hope this trend that has started with this last game will continue, and develop team-wide.
Thanks for the blog and all of your hard work,
T-Bird
ncheel01 ~ Nice blog, you sound as if you never made it through high shchool. Hogblog is correct in saying that the Broncos are not out of the woods yet. They are a horrible team, talented yes but they are not a team as of yet.
ncheel01 ~ Lol I just read your little rant and had to reply. I have been married for 15 years and played in 37 games for the, Texas Longhorns, starting in 25 of them. I have dual engineering degree and work all over the world in the oil industry. While I never could and never will run a 4.3 40, that does not qualify me as a loser. Fox may be fast but Hines Ward, who is slow burned him all night long and we won the game in spite of Fox. He has constantly been the weak spot that teams pick on. If Fox was so good why did we trade for Bly in the offseason?
