Why open with a skyline shot? Because by any measurement, the conditions in the Mile High City for the final session of Quarterback Camp were glorious, even if the mercury was slow to rise, giving the Broncos their chilliest OTA so far this year.
The Broncos began their session about an hour early, and stepped onto the field Thursday morning to witness a dazzlingly clear sky — but also 48-degree weather.
“This is (like) the middle of Christmastime in Jacksonville,” said defensive tackle and Sunshine State product Marcus Thomas. “But I like it out here. I’m really enjoying myself. I like the weather. I still haven’t gotten to see snow yet, so I’m looking forward to that.”

A bigger deal at first for Thomas was his adjustment to the altitude, but that didn’t prove as problematic as he expected.
“It’s a heck of a lot better (now) than the first day,” Thomas said. “People told me it would take two or three weeks, but I think in the first three days I was pretty much set.”
A couple of other notes …
… Brandon Marshall was with the team this morning, but left the field wearing sweats. Fellow wide receiver Glenn Martinez did not practice, just as he has been held out throughout the week … Rookie kicker Brandon Pace mentioned in a post-practice interview that kicker Jason Elam is only working on Wednesdays so far in the OTAs, thus increasing the number of repetitions for the Virginia Tech alumnus. Pace also noted that he’s been working on kickoffs under special teams coordinator Scott O’Brien’s watch …
… And, now, some more photos:

I miss that skyline…
When you say Marshall “was out of uniform” does that mean he’s nicked up?
Obviously it’s better to be safe than sorry so I assume he’s a little sore…

Not sure … but when he left the field with his teammates he seemed to be moving well and was in good spirits. At this time of year, key players can be held out of these sessions for even the slightest inkling of a problem … there’s no use risking someone’s condition now when the season-opening trip to Buffalo is still three and a half months away.
I love that skyline.
i take it your favorite player is foxworth?.. i don tknow exactly what the OTA’s are about i am guessing just a walk through of things. how have the rooks looked? anything that can jump start the band wagon?
i also aggree with Lord/. i miss that skyline. gonna be anothewr year before i get to come home
I dont think their is anything that I dont miss about Denver…Hopefully we’ll be moving back there soon. The Bronco coverage over here in Grand Junction is sorry.
Ditto to all those mentioning the picture of the skyline, went to my one game last year (Indy) and waited for the park -n- ride bus just staring at it.
It’s awesome!
BTW the Broncos coverage is nil up here in the NW (all Seachickens) so the OTA coverage is great Andrew!
gets the Orange and Blue blood flowing!
Thanks!
[...] Day One, Day Two, Day Three, Day Four, Day Five, Day Six, Day Seven [...]
Andrew, Was Tom Nalen the only guy out there wearing his helmet?
go broncos
that would be chris myers not the great tom nalen brush up on your current bronco players
i’m not sure about the rest of you but i’m excited about Alvin McKinley he had 3 sacks in a 3-4 defense at end so that should translate into about 6-7 sacks in a 4-3
