OTA Day 3 Wrap

May 18th, 2007 - 4:27pm by Andrew

No photos (well, unless you click here to the Flash gallery), just some afternoon notes before hitting the road:

… Gary Miller of CBS4 is reporting that tight end Tony Scheffler broke his foot during practice Friday

… First-round pick Jarvis Moss, who met the media Friday for the first time since draft weekend, admitted that he wasn’t able to make it through his first workout on Wednesday. “The first day was real tough on me. I tapped out,” he said, “but these past couple of days I’ve been getting adjusted to it and it has gotten easier.” …

… Third-round pick Ryan Harris said he worked exclusively at left tackle this week …

… Second-year wide receiver Domenik Hixon is off to a flying start in his first offseason practices as a pro. “He’s 100 percent recovered and has been very impressive in the one-on-ones and the team work,” Head Coach Mike Shanahan said. “It looks like he’s got a big future with us.” …

… Offensive tackle Ryan Harris shrugged at the jeers he received from teammates because of his attempt at a practice-opening dance. “I don’t think you can win with that crowd,” he said. “They bring you up there to do a dance move. I gave them my limited dance moves and I guess it wasn’t to their liking. Every rookie so far has been booed, so I guess it makes me feel better.” Moss endured a similar response from his new teammates Wednesday morning …

… Defensive line coach Bill Johnson expects Kenard Lang to be fine, saying that the pain in the veteran defensive end’s shoulders will recede and is temporary.

That’s all for the afternoon … thanks for reading, and we’ll have plenty more during next week’s sessions.

Is there any truth to Scheffler breaking his foot?

  2. AndrewMason says:

Yep. He’s expected to be out two months.

I hope this wont set back this guys speed for next year, because i liked the Cutler-Scheffler connection towards the end of last year.

I was in the army at ft. carson in the springs and i can tell you that the thin air in Colorado is a killer so i think Moss Tapping out on the first day is allright
