Charlie Jones was probably the unofficial voice of the AFC West in those days. As a kid, whenever I'd get home from attending a Bucs game, some Broncos-Chargers or Raiders-Seahawks game would usually be on the air, and it would almost invariably be Jones on the call.

I recall a few years ago -- maybe late '90s, maybe early 2000s -- hearing Jones call some Pac-10 and Mountain West games that aired regionally on ABC. It was wonderful to hear his voice again, but it was kind of sad that he was put out to pasture and not brought aboard CBS like Criqui was when the network got the AFC contract from NBC in '98.

And Brad, I'd love to hear your Criqui impression. I've tried, but mine sucks.

Mason, I'm green with envy. I think I just flashed back to the 80's when I see Criqui and Jones doing commentating for us. Wow, now we all need is Enberg to join.

Andrew, you should hear my Don Criqui impression. It's a special skill I have in which I take great pride. Speaking of Charlie Jones, it always seemed that he was calling Broncos games every week back in the early '90's. Todd Christensen was his partner at the time, I believe.
