One Down, Three to Go …

July 11th, 2007 - 11:34am by Andrew

Defensive tackle Marcus Thomas — shown above during Quarterback Camp in May — signed with the Broncos on Wednesday morning. Terms of his contract were not disclosed.

The Broncos have two and a half weeks left to get their other three draft picks signed in time for training camp, but the team has a history of getting these things done, with only one rookie holdout in the last five years (Tatum Bell in 2004).

Second best draftee in my opinion. Off field issues hopefully won’t be an issue here and he could see 3-4 sacks and plenty of playing time.

I don’t know… You could argue that Thomas is the TOP draftee. Nothing against the others, but I think Thomas may develop into the best NFL player out of that group.

Regardless, I can’t wait to see them at camp — where we’ll actually get a look at them working with pads on. …it seems like a long wait. :(
