I had a really, really busy week. It was really positive for the most part. We got a win, which is always good. I was able to stand on the side during the game and do some coaching, and I was really into the game as kind of a half-fan, half-coach, just to try to help out the young guys.
A lot of people got a chance to play, and a lot of people who aren’t here any more got a chance to put their talents on film, which was really good. Hopefully some other people around the league will pick them up based on what they saw us do on Thursday. Sadly, we lost a lot more players again. But the good thing about it is we’re done cutting. So the people who are here now are your 2007 Denver Broncos, which is great.
One of the big surprises was us cutting Kyle Johnson. You can’t say enough about him as a person and we’re all sad to see him go. He’s one of the brightest guys on this team and he’s one of the hardest working. I really haven’t read the paper, but I assume that everything the coaches have said about him has been positive. I’m sure they’re not happy to have to get rid of him, but it’s a complicated game with the salary cap, and you can only keep a certain amount of players.
I think one of the things that keeps me around here is that I can fill a lot of roles on the team, and I think that one of the things that hurt Kyle was that he’s a fullback. A lot of the other guys we have playing fullback like Cecil Sapp, he’s a fullback/halfback, and now they’re making Mike Bell kind of a fullback/halfback. Versatility is the way to go, and it’s the way this league has been going. Kyle is definitely one of the top five fullbacks in the league, and unfortunately fullbacks are kind of going out of style. A lot of people are using tight ends and what they call an “H-back” system. I expect him to get picked up pretty soon and I wish him luck with the rest of his career, and I’m sure the Broncos fans will miss him and his little touchdown dance that we’ve grown accustomed to seeing.
When Karl Paymah got hurt during the game, that was really tough for a lot of us. It was amazing for the guys on the field to be able to remain focused and play again. That’s always something that’s extremely difficult to do because when you’re in the game, it’s so serious and so important. Each play is really important, and then when something like that happens, you realize the game isn’t quite as important as you thought it was.
I think Hamza Abdullah, who played with Karl in college, he was right next to him when it happened, and Hamza was really freaked out, but he managed to play a great game the rest of the way. We found out later he was better and that he was OK and it was just a concussion. You can’t really say, “It’s just a concussion,” but given what it could have been, being hit right on the top of the head like that and being out on the ground, and stretchers and not moving and all that stuff, a concussion is a welcomed injury in comparison to what could’ve happened. I’ve seen things like that go really, really bad, so we’re happy that Karl is back. I don’t know what he’s going to do this week, but it doesn’t really matter. We’re happy that he’s here walking around just like that nothing ever happened. Really happy about that.
I had a really interesting week as far as being a minor celebrity. It was kind of up and down. First, on Tuesday I was going to the mall, because I had some more friends who had some babies, so I was back in the baby store buying more baby gifts. An older lady who said she was a retired teacher came over to me, which really threw me off, and she said, “Aren’t you Domonique Foxworth, the College (in Colorado) guy?” I told her I’m actually a football player, but I’ve become really well-known for the CollegeInColorado.org commercials and campaign, which is fine with me. Her and her friend, who was also a retired teacher, were just going on and on about how great it is for the kids and it’s a positive role model, which is exactly what I set out to do.
On Wednesday, I went to this concert they had with a bunch of hip-hop artists, T.I. and Ciara and a bunch of people. A friend of mine from middle school was out here because she works for the concert, so I went to see her and I hung out backstage. So I’m hanging out backstage and there’s a bunch of kids back there grabbing autographs from T.I. and Ciara and T-Pain and all these other big hip-hop stars. I’m just hanging in the back, minding my business, and then some kids came over and wanted to take pictures with me. They were like, “It’s Domonique Foxworth!” I felt kind of cool, I have to admit. So I’m standing back there taking pictures, and T.I. is looking back there like, “Who the heck is this guy?”
But anyway, it was really cool. I ended up staying for the whole concert backstage and I was able to get a couple of my teammates in also, so we hung out and had a good time. Surprisingly though, because I feel like I’m too old to be at young kid’s hip-hop concerts. But we had a great time, it was a lot of fun.
But back to the game on Thursday. The concert was on Wednesday and the baby store stuff was on Tuesday, so I’m feeling good about my celebrity. I was like, “Ah, people really know me and respect my abilities, because I get the game off. I’ve come a long way.” So I get to the game really early, way before kickoff like I normally do. Even though I’m not playing, I treat it like a regular game, and I normally go outside with Mike Harrington and Kenny Chavez, the equipment guys, and we go out and play catch before every game.
So this game, we go out and we’re playing catch in the middle of the field, right on the 50, because the cheerleaders were out there on the sides and we try to stay out of their way. So as we’re playing catch, this guy walks up behind me with a golf club, and kind of abrasively says to me, “Hey, you can’t be here. Ball boys have to warm up on the sideline.”
And he points at me, and says, “This right here, if you want to play in the middle of the field, you better go try out for an NFL team somewhere.” So I kind of smiled at him, and I said, “Hypothetically, let’s say I was getting ready to play in a game, would you let me warm up here?” And the guy responds, “Yeah,” and then storms off.
So we just stayed in the middle of the field and kept playing catch, and he comes back about 10 minutes later as we’re walking in and he’s walking out, and he kind of angrily says, “Sorry,” and storms right past me. So I was laughing and that was the big joke I was telling everybody. I thought it was hilarious and everybody I talked to was like, “You let him talk to you like that? You should’ve told him off.” But I thought it was hilarious.
It didn’t hurt my feelings. I understand that I’m 5-11 and 175 pounds. I look like a ball boy more than I look like a football player, which is fine. That was just funny, to bring me down back to earth really quickly after my week of being a big-time celebrity.
Another thing, before the game — like I said, I was warming up out there, and the cheerleaders are always working out around us, and it was just impressive to see how hard they work. Because I wasn’t playing in this game, I was kind of taking everything in a little more, a little less focused, to be honest with you, than I normally am. But just to see how hard they work, and there’s so many people that go into making our games go well. The guy who came out with the golf club is in charge of the grounds, and I realize what he was trying to do was just keep the grounds in good shape for me, potentially. So just thinking about him and all the guys in the yellow shirts, the security guys, and the people who work concessions, there’s just tons of people.
Like I said, the cheerleaders were working really hard before the game. I don’t know how many times they practice, but you forget that they’re a team also. They work really hard, and they either have good games or bad games, just like us. I actually bumped into Keela Harris, one of the cheerleaders, after the game at Old Chicago, and she was with a bunch of her friends and we got to talk to them while we were waiting for our seats. It was just good to get their perspective on how hard they work.
And Keela has a blog, actually. So I’d recommend that everybody who reads my blog go on over and take a look. I was kind of making fun of her because my blog is a lot more popular than hers, so it would be nice if everybody gave her a little boost. Just tell her that I sent you so that she doesn’t get confident and think that her blog is on the come-up or something. She still can’t beat this blog. So yeah, check out the other blogs, but don’t stop checking out my blog.
But anyway, it was cool to be able to talk to her and about three other cheerleaders about how hard they work and how important it is to them also. They have missed assignments sometimes just like us. Just to be able to think of them and the security guys and the grounds guys and everybody as a team themselves, and Sunday (or Thursday this week) is their big day also.
Another thing — at the signing at the Helio store last weekend, I was able to meet onechocolateqt, she showed up there. It was really cool. Her name is Patricia, and she came with her sister, Sheri, and it was a really good time. It wasn’t a big turnout, which is another kick in the pants for my big celebrity, so I was able to just chill with her for about 20 minutes and just talk. It was really cool to be able to get to know her, and her mother is in the hospital and is on the recovery, so everybody say some prayers for her. But she’s doing better, which is great.
And MontanaBroncoGirl, I didn’t meet her, but I thought it was ironic that she wrote to the blog because this was the same week that a couple of my cousins, Jahad and Malik, visited me and stayed for a week, and they live in Great Falls, Montana. We had a great time with them and took them down to Nike Town and went on a little back-to-school shopping spree. They had a ball, and they were able to come to the game and take pictures with some of my teammates.
They had a really good time, but I was laughing with them kind of, because they’re from Great Falls, Montana, and they think Denver is like the biggest city ever. They were able to go to Baltimore a little bit, which is where the rest of my family is, so this wasn’t the first city they’ve been to, but it was just funny because they were like, “Wow, an Applebee’s! I see the commercials all the time, but I’ve never been to one, I’ve never seen one.” It was pretty funny.
Let’s see, a sign off for this week… we’ll go with jwlantz, he gave one that I like. We’ll end it with his quote this week:
“Success is never final, and failure is never fatal. It’s courage that counts.” – Winston Churchill
It’s pretty good. A little corny, to be honest with you, but if you get into it I think it hits home on a lot of levels.
Thanks everybody for reading. All Ready.

Fox,
What a lucky guy you are! Is there a rule about how the players aren’t supposed to be dating any of the cheerleaders? I would definately do everything in my power to take one on a date. Kyle is a great player, I am surprised we cut him. I still need to find a good quote for your sign off. Stay healthy, good luck this week!
Man – you really are a class act, Foxworth, and continue to impress both on the field and off. Your shout outs for the cheerleaders and grounds crew and security and all the other workers out there couldn’t be more apropos given that yesterday was Labor Day. You make me proud to be a part of Bronco Nation.
I am glad you are on the field, and not a ball boy, since I doubt the ball boys level folks like you can!
Have a great game against the Bills! Go Broncos!
You mention your celebrity status with fan acknowledgment but heck getting backstage to a T.I. concert is bigger than having a 12 year old teeny bopper know who you are! Who’s the most famous non professional football player you have ever met?
Hey Fox,
It was great to meet you! Finally! And thank you for coming out. And though you’ve heard this before, we really appreciate who you are and all that you do. What an asset you are not only to the Denver Broncos organization, but in the community as well!
And to Mom and Dad Foxworth, it was truly an honor to meet you. Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit with us. I see, now, where Domonique gets his class. Wow!
Fox, good luck this Sunday with Buffalo!
Football season is back. It’s really back……(with tears in my eyes)
Go Orange and Blue!!!!!

Hey Fox,
I was bummed Kyle got cut too, How’s this for a tribute: when you score a TD this year (c’mon I know you can do it) RIDE THE HORSE!!
It’s funny to hear you talking about “the young kids”….You talk like you are old or something. Talk to Rod and ask him if you are a kid still. Great blog today Fox. I am actually from Montana (Billings/Missoula) and let me tell you that there are a TON of Broncos fans up there (and in Phoenix). If you are ever in Billings go to Tiny’s Tavern, it is a Bronco’s shrine. Most of the regulars have season tickets and make the 500 mile trip every Sunday. They were featured during halftime of a Monday night game 3 years ago. It is my favorite place to watch a game and have a few beers when I am back home. Hope everything goes well for you in Buffalo. Bring us home 1-0!!!!!!
Fox,
It sucks to see Kyle go. Hope he does well wherever he ends up.
Good luck this weekend against the Bills!!!
Hey Fox-
Thanks for the “Shout Out”…There’s a lot of Broncos fans here in Montana…and if they’re not a fan, I let them know what’s up (I get a bit competitive when it comes to football)
I think it’s funny how your cousins think Denver is sooo big, but if you’ve ever been to Montana, you’d understand
(I’m from Billings/Bozeman myself and we complain if it takes 10 minutes to get across town)
Only 33 days until I get to go to a Bronco game!!!
Good luck this weekend!
I think the best thing you wrote about this week was your pre-game experience. How often does anyone, pro athlete kid or not, let a rude gesture slide? I’m a 19-yr-old firecracker and I don’t know if I would’ve put up with that security guard. For you to do that esp with your celebrity status growing the way it is, proves that you truly are a class act. You should come down to Colorado Springs sometime for an AFA football game. Keep on keepin’ on!
Foxy,
Thanks again for another great blog. I’ll visit Keela’s blog and let her know you sent us over to check it out.
I am so glad that Karl Paymah is OK, sounds like that was a scary moment. I have one request for this season – no more injuries, please!
What are your thoughts on the acquisition of Simeon Rice? How’s Mr. Lynch feel about his old Super Bowl buddy coming to town?
I can’t wait to see the Broncos game on Sunday! It’s time for Denver to go into Broncos mode again – the city streets become quiet during game time, everyone finishes their trips to the grocery store before game time, and you know what’s happening in the game even if you shut your radio or tv off because you can hear your neighbors shouting or screaming for joy. Ah yes, must be September.
I’ve got one question for everyone…”are you ready for some football?!”
Foxy,
Hey this is the first time I have actually posted on one of your blogs although I have been reading them throughout the summer!!
I think you have been doing an awsome job both on and off the field… It really isn’t fair you really deserve to be a starter in this league and hopefully your time will come soon with the Denver Broncos.
Keep up the good work and good luck in the game sunday and bring home the Broncos first win!!!
hey fox! i saw you at the game throwing around the ball with champ, dre and nick! i was just really excited to see you guys – even though you werent playing!
well i cant wait for the season to start!
oh and i have a story! – ok so i was at the mall and i saw a guy and im pretty sure it was mike bell! well then i told all my friends because i was super excited! well then all my friends said they didnt believe me because they think that famous football players cant just go to the mall like that – they think that they would have to bring like security guards with them! so can you PLEASE tell them that you guys are just normal people – who happen to be EXTREMLEY good football players?!?!?!!? THANKS!
-PARIS (#1 BRONCO FAN!)
Hey Domonique, and hello from hot and hummid San Diego.Read your blog several times but never replied. You really seem to be a class act worthy of celebrity status, and your acomplishments on the field speaks for themselves. Here in S.D. it’s chargers this and chargers that and they have no respect for the Broncos.I’m taking my girlfriend (a charger fan)sorry, to Denver to watch her team loose. May-be will get achance to come down and say hello, and if not ,for sure here in S.D. X-mass eve. Good luck with the Bills. Thanks, and Go Broncos!
Hey Foxy!!!
Just a shout out from southern england!!!!
I love reading this blog and its fantastic how some of the players like yourself can really relate and just hang out with some fans
i’ve been to the 2005 pats regular season game and the colts game last year, how does it feel to be playing on that field with the noise and 70,000+ fans watching??
does it make you nervous and exciteted walking onto the field or do you get used to it?
Take care
Fox,
Whats up Mr. Foxworth, I love your blog. I’m so excited it’s football season again. I saw Bailey and Walker at the bar “spill” in downtown Denver over the weekend and it was really great to see the the guys get out and have a great time. Hopefully I’ll see you around some time. Good luck this year, you’re an amazing athlete. GO BRONCOS!!!
Hey Fox,
I was not too happy myself when we cut Kyle, but I think he will be okay. I think TB is looking for a good fullback in their post Alstot state. Have you have a chance to talk with S. Rice? I hope everything I read about him being a downer in the locker room isn’t true. I am sure John wouldn’t of called him if he was that way. I really like this “” and think it says a lot about a person that can follow it (I do my best). “When you were born you cried and the world rejoiced, live your life so when you die the world will cry and you’ll rejoice.” you may take a different approach and “” P-Diddy “Yo, the sun don’t shine forever, but as long as its here we might as well shine together.” If you like any of those I have a ton I live my life by….
Hey Foxworth before that pre- season game when you where coming out of the teams parking lot to walk up to that women and gave here your autograph i was the kid that yelled “sup foxworth” ya that was me
Fox-
I’m really glad you do this blog, and I hope it does nothing but gain in popularity, because you are a phenomenal role model for kids, other football players, and people in general. Seriously, how did you get to be such a great guy? It’s sad when other football players whose names we all know have brought such negativity to what’s ultimately a fun game to watch and play. If more guys in the NFL carried themselves with the kind of class you do, words like “gentlemen” and “classy” would far outweigh terms like “thug” and “charges filed.”
Stay classy!
Ian
Sounds like you had alot of fun Fox !! You really are versitile your a ball boy tooo lol j/k that was funny !!!I was heated when we cut Kyle also but now Mike might start and Shanny said he could be a Pro-Bowl FB. I was goin nuts when we signed Rice my whole fam was laughin at me I came outside and almost fell down the stairs I was so excited lol But I will see ya in Buffalo…. look for me I will be all Blue and Orange I will have some face paint a Bronco head A Blue and Orange wig and a Orange Bailey Jersey 2nd row in the corner of the endzone !! I will se ya on Sunday and if ya see Champ tell em too embarrass J.P. Losman when he tries goin deep to Lee Evans that goes for you too when Losman tries testin “Foxy” show him why ……. from Champ’s biggest fan and your biggest fan !!!
Lil Wayne -
” F Baby for the team I rep daily come to the defense like CHAMP BAILEY ”
ALL READY !!!!!!!!!!!
foxy,
i hope paymah comes back soon, you and him make our secondary complete and the best in the NFL!!
you are one of the most down to earth guys ever!!
keep up being you!!
and dont let no grounds keeper change you..
GOOD LUCK AGAINST THE BILLS!!
Hey Fox,
Man it sucks that i couldn’t come down to see you on saturday, but there are a lot of things that i had to do that day and i was really busy. really wish i could have met you in person. Oh yea stop following the Cheerleaders around town Fox lol j/k around man. I bet that everyone that’s involved in every game, do, do a lot of work just to get everything together and make sure everything goes right….Oh yea it’s awesome that Rice will be playing for the Broncos this year, man the def. line is going to be really good this year…but it still sucks that Ekuban isn’t going to be able to play this year, he had a great season last year. I hope that Paymah will come back soon and hope he can play again soon. The Johnson cut really seemed like it came out of nowhere…no one wanted that too happen i bet, but sometimes things do happen and what can you do right? Well he’s most likely going to get picked up soon cuz he’s a great Fullback. Oh and Domenik Hixon as the new KR/PR is really a good idea, what i’ve seen him do, he’s really good..well this is getting long like always i really need to fix that, well GOOD LUCK AGAINST THE BILLS and HOPE WE (the family “Broncos”) WIN THE GAME!!!!!!!!
the biggest Broncos fan
::::>Volim Elmu
It’s so nice, Foxworth, that you contribute to the team and the community equally in various ways. I expect you to come up with a big play at Orchard Park, N.Y., this weekend that will help determine the outcome in a Broncos win. You’re right, cutting people is one of the worst things in the NFL. Thankfully, it’s one of the only bad things. Give some love to we Broncos fans in Utah, because here in the Beehive State, we’re just as much a part of Broncos Country as anywhere else in our great nation. Keep up the good work because if you do, your star will only continue to rise. This is going to be a special season, I feel it in my bones!!!
fox, your celebrity story is hilarious. It’s awesome to read the blog every week and see what a players perspective is. I’m sure you won’t get a break from “busy weeks” for a long time (hopefully into early feb.) and maybe week 6′s bye. which reminds me, im already taking a loss for my fantasy team on week 6…i think i have 4 or 5 denver starters plus frank gore, and they all have a week 6 bye…oh well.. hopefully i’ll get to see a game either in CHI or KC, i go to mizzou, same school that nash went to, so those are the closest games, if not, i’ll be watching u at BWW. you should plan an interception return TD that is blogged themed, and make a shout out to the readers, matter of fact, u should prolly plan for 2 or 3 different ones, i see you making big plays this year…good luck this week, and pass it on to the rest of the team!!!!!!!!
im gonna take a page from soulja boy and superman outa here…(you should do the soulja boy dance as your celebration)
CYA
Mr. Foxworth,
Denver has always been a character team. In fact, after the Super Bowl It took all of two days for me to get sick of hearing how great it was for the Colts to win the Super Bowl and how much credit Tony Dungy deserved for doing it the right way with his great emphasis on character. While I’m glad that Dungy was recognized for getting it right he is in no way the first or best character coach and the Colts don’t hold a candle to the Broncos in that department. Your encounter while playing catch proves this. It is this amazing quality, a quality in short demand these days, that you have that sets you apart from the also rans and it definately seperates you as a player and a person from the “don’t let this happen to you” club members. It has been very hot out here in San Diego for the past week and my six year old and nine year old decided to read the postings on the Bronco’s web page with me instead of melting out in the heat. When we came to your blogs my six year old recognized your name and asked me to read them. I had already read them but it’s hard to turn down any request that your son makes that incorporates both reading and anything to do with the Broncos. After we finished he asked me if he could play like you when he got to the NFL. I said that he may not be able to play your position (he’s almost as big as his nine year old brother, no kidding, and has d-lineman written all over him) but he could play like you if he played with “heart and character” he interupted. Again, no kidding. Thank you. My sons are the most important thing in the world to me and I think all Bronco fans, whether their parents or not, would agree that in most media forum today you can go a long way to find a single person who has any single attribute that you would like to see your children emulate. My six year old has never met you but he recognized the most important two after simply hearing your words. Continue to enjoy your celebrity status. You have gone a long way already to earning it.
Impose your will and dominate those Bills!!!
He who dares, wins!!!
Mike.
Hey Dom, I’ma new member and I love ur blog(very interesting)…. but u call urself a Minor Celebrity which is normal in some form!!! Yea ima miss Kyle Johnson…. I was surprise to see him go. He seemed like a nice and very humble person but it is business!!! I hope Paymah is okay a well.
I know the Grounds Crew guy meant no disrespect but it’s sad he don’t know who u are and I bet he’s been working there for years!!! I live here in New York and I know every player on the Broncos… even Keela lol but it’s really great what you do for the kids, by going to their schools talking to them and everything, I feel you are such a positive role model, and have great ability and talent on the feild… God Bless U for that!!!
You mention being old (which is funny) I’m 25 and baby that’s young and I bet I’m older then U… I would love to be at a concert with youngster’s like myself, it’s exciting!!! Minor Celebrity or not, u are a human being who loves, laugh, cry, hurt and lives just like us with a lil’ more paper… lol but u seem humble, with a great spirit and care about others and I wish u much success!!! All ready
My quote of the day:
“Wisdom is the ability to use knowledge so as to meet successfully the emergencies of life. Women may acquire knowledge, but wisdom is a direct gift from God” Jaya
man im glad to see that there is a way to interact with your team. I dont know why but when football season starts i feel like im part of the team just like you guys, its kind of a happy and sad time for me because i just recently graduated High School (over in japan btw, my dads in the military and i was reppin the broncos over there FAR EAST) and i miss HS Football, oh well College Football is next so hopefully it brings the same joy. I hope this season brings many opurtunities for you Foxy. Good Luck and GO BRONCOS!
Dominique,
Good luck this season… hope you grab an INT or two in Buffalo. Prayers were answered that Paymah’s injury wasn’t as bad as it initially looked. Can’t wait until 2010 when you guys come up to Seattle. I wish the Seahawks had never left the AFC West – I miss going to the Bronco game every year. My hope for this year is that the Broncos and Seattle make the Super Bowl so I can revel in the misery everyone will have up here when the Seachickens get stomped. Once again…. good luck on the season – let’s start it off with a bang this weekend!
hey Dom,
Thanks for mentioning Montana in your blog. We are a big state, but not to many people. Lots of Broncos fans though! i hope to see you play on Monday night verse GreenBay. we (my wife and i) are driving down from Whitefish, MT. which takes about 15 hours. its worth it though! Go Broncos!
i really enjoy your blog keep it up.
aaronb
Whitefish, MT
Fan since i was born!
I’ve been reading the blog all summer and am continually impressed by the quality of person that you are. You first caught my eye for the writing class you started up at the Boys and Girls club. I liked this both because I used to be a member and worked at the El Pomar unit in CO springs, and now I work at a High School in a Chicago suburb. An athlete that doesn’t just pay lip service to education, but also gives the most valuable thing he has, his personal time, to help inspire a group of kids to grow. Wow you don’t see that every day. Then I continue to read each week about different ways that you treat everybody with respect and humility. I loved the story about the grounds keeper when you were playing catch. I don’t think you could have handled it any better than how you did. Anyways this getting long… Love the blog Love the Broncos Go destroy Buffalo
DOH!! didn’t mean to use my email as my screen name, I thought that was how you signed in to leave a reply
hey foxy,
that really stinks that kyle had to leave! i hope he gets picked up by a good club. hope we do great in the regular season!!! latr
Hello again,
Can’t wait for kick off. Very excited about Rice coming on board.
I really enjoy reading your blog. It’s nice to hear about a team that’s not in turmoil. I have been a bronco fan for a long time and it just seems the
players they pick are class acts.
Good Luck on game day, snag one for us.
A
Fox,
You rock brother! I absolutely love reading your blog. I wouldn’t miss it for anything. This is getting redundent but what else can I say…You are a true class act.
Very best of luck this weekend to you and all of the Broncos. Hope you can hear the husband and myself yelling from Albuquerque, New Mexico…..I know our neighbors can.
)
Oh, I almost forgot…my husband gets bugged because I always talk about him in the 3rd person. He asked me to give you a shout out from him. He is not to computer savy, God love’em.
Go Broncos!!!!!
I love your “go to college” commercial. I am always pleased when a sports star pushes young people in the right direction. Thanks!
Hey Dom,
Just wanted to show a little love from back in College Park.. I used to live in Denver, but moved out here a while ago and now I’m a Terp. You gonna make it back out here for a Terps game this season or what? It sucks that our bye is the same as the Broncos this year.. but we have a Thurs. night game against WVU coming up! Keep doin what you do!
hey dom,
Another great read, best of luck for Sunday from Manchester, UK. Get rid of the deep threat of Lee Evans and the Bills have no other proven threat to hurt us
if i wasn’t a celebrity, would you be so into me….lol
what’s up fox, anywho so that’s awesome that you were all recognized and stuff. i had a friend who worked at a karaoke bar/restaurant over in Denver when I lived up there and she, without realizing it, Carded Al Wilson one night he was in there. And i’m sure, like you said, it brought him back down to reality. Everyone was like I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU CARDED AL WILSON! lol. anyway so hah that’s pretty funny.
The game was awesome man….I was really excited about the outcome of it and everyone looked really good. Even though it was that kind of game where it was many guys’ only game as a Bronco, it was still pretty awesome. I hope you all do really well against the Bills this opening weekend.
Glad to hear that Paymah is doing better too. You’re right about it being “just a concussion”. My four years that i was the h2o tech (haha watergirl) for my high school team, I saw quite a few of those. Some more severe than others, and you’re right it could have been much worse so thank goodness for that.
Anyway that’s about all i gotta say for now. so you take care of yourself, good luck this weekend and I’ll be cheering for you guys from my little town in Southern New Mexico!!! Take care!

(Q & A from D-Will Oct. 2006)
How has the competition between Domonique Foxworth and yourself helped you?
Kevin Williams
Sicklerville, N.J.
Foxworth and I, we’re really tight. We’re real cool. We go to clubs together. We hang out together and joke around. Fox is probably my best friend on the team. We relate a lot and we’re the same age and we’re going through the same stuff. So he and I really became tight because once we first got here we were roommates, so we’ve really been gelling since then.

I know you can do it Fox. We have faith in all you guys. Do it big for # 27, he will be watching.

ok so in the game i saw that brandon marshal had shaved some pretty cool designs on his head! from what i could see i saw like some lines and then a “27″ i was just wandering all what was shaved on his head?
What’s up Fox!! just leaving another comment saying Congrats on that AWESOME win today against Buffalo! Wow!!! You guys really came through right at the end when it all came down to it. That was some quick menuevering on everyone’s part to get Elam set up for that Field Goal!! I think everyone in the town of Hurley heard me scream when that ball sailed through the uprights! Good Job Broncos!!!! Take care, Fox!!
~Steph~
Hey Fox-
Did you get hurt during the game?? Hope you’re feeling better.
hey i heard you got hurt?!?!?????? I hope you are OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh and congrats on the win!
Fox, hope your ankle is okay! But even more so I hope Kevin Everett is okay. What was going through your mind when they stopped the game and he was down on the field? I imagine that must be the scariest thing to see happen to another athlete. I know all of the team’s prayers are with him, that’s a terrible thing to see.
Congratulations on the win, it must’ve been crazy to see Jason Elam hit that game winning field game, I couldn’t believe it when I saw it!
Glad you are alright Domnik,
Sorry, I don’t feel right, callin’ you Foxxy(lols). But seriously,
can you do me a favor, and read my response to Mr. Rice of “Rice Takes” “Bottom Line” as well as Andrew Mason’s recent Morsel’s. For what it’s worth, I need for those and these statements to be read and on behalf of some ONE else, to our organization!
I reside in California right now but I am from Denver although not originally, and I represent the Spirit of Mile-High. A Spirit that personally made me a “believer” in Elway first, and even more so in the “”Spirit of Mile-High”" itself a few years ago…and during those times in convincing fashion………Oct. 25, 1995….Oakland @ Denver, Denver 27-Oakland 0 for Monday Night Football!!
The Presence of the “Mile-High Spirit” made itself known to me that night (and I wasnt even in the Stadium) as well as every one watching that game. So I say “our” organization like we say in the marines when we say “our beloved corps” those of us that take pride in ownership. I may not own the team but I own the “Spirit of Mile-High” and that Spirit owns me as well and ALL who take hold of it.
The Stadium is built on an old and ancient Native American Burial Ground.
An old friend of mine, (what some would call… a bum, ….i called a king)an Ogalla Sioux from the Midwest and my birthplace, who resided in Denver at the time told me the “Secret to the Broncos’ … well actually JOHN ELWAY ‘S Success” was the “infamous Spirit of Mile High”. Not to mention his famed come-backs {and at home of course}, and Mr. Elway if you get to read this, You Yourself can attest to the ‘Ambiance’ that always “came over” you late in those games …… for it was the “Spirit of Mile-High” that resonated thru him so….as it did that night Oct 25, 1995. [Incidentally, he had more come-backs at home].
My point is this: Native prayers have gone to the Great Spirit, in discomfort if you will, ….God says the team’s owners and other Investor’s are to allow a recognition of this and incorporate it in the season’s to come (I dunno a traditional rememberance of some sort for the fallen) in this the 7TH YEAR, OF 2007….and the hint is the # 7 belongs to the author of our awareness of 7 whatever our backgrounds maybe….none can argue this! If they decide to Retire #7′s Jersee this year, what a fitting, noble and honorable way to go out(hint hint)– but I’m just a messenger.!
Also what a remarkable ceremony that would be for the HOF’r. I am telling you this because God knows Mr. Bowlen and the investors and staff will respond once it comes from the players.
Dominique, We don’t have much time and as a liaison, I am subsequently going to blog all of the staff until someone recognizes my statement, I will have answers as they are given to me…..know this: this is not bout me, this is much bigger than you or i and the owners, this is about the “Collective Conscience” even that of the Fans.
If my message is Heeded, what a BLESSED Team, Organization and Families and City we will Become!!!!!!
I don’t mean to come off as a Moses while I’m away…but this season will not live to be whats expected if these messages aren’t heeded…
Help me spread His Message
hey dom just read on the site you were born in Oxford, England?!? I was born in Wantage, a little town in Oxford!!! Thats just weird … You should play for our national side, we suck lol

What’s up Fox, great blog. I have such high hopes for this season because of the secondary, i know your playing the nickel at times or filling in for Champ and Bly, but i know you’re just as good as them. You could be a starter on most other NFL teams, go out there and play your game like you play it kid. Jack people up and let em know who you are, you’re an inspiration. You’re team brought in a starter and instead of crumbling and wanting off the team, you stood up and took on the challenge. keep on fightin.
