With Graham we have a tight end that will be great at both blocking and catching the football. Plus Scheffler will not get some playing time, and wait... He can play TE, G, and T so he adds depth at several positions. I hate to see Alexander go but with his injury I'm thinking he might not be claimed and who knows he could be back next week. I hope Alexander has a good outcome after this... he's a great player. He's got a bright future ahead of him if someone would just keep him & give him a chance of more than 2 seasons. He had great playing time in Denver but he could have been given a lot more exposure to showing his true talent. While he was very impressed with the depth at running back, along the defensive line and even said they were fine at linebacker he said "not so much with our offensive line.". I believe that this not only is a statement towards the improvement of TE Tony Scheffler both physicaly and from a skills stand point but I also think that Chad Mustard is turning into one of those blue collar lineman that the Broncos invariably fall in love with. They may not be the strongest or the biggest but they do exactly what you expect of them. Alexander used to be our "blocking TE", but with the arrival of Daniel Graham, SA was left without a position because of Scheffler's vertical threat.
