With Gary Glitter’s Rock and Roll, Part 2 fading into league-recommended musical purgatory, numerous NFL teams began searching for a new touchdown song. Those include the Broncos, who followed the lead of the late NHL Colorado Rockies and saluted scores with the song beginning in the 1980s.
Sunday, the Broncos will turn in a different direction, playing an adapted-for-Broncos version of “Go Daddy O” by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

I really don’t like the song, infact I think its annoying! I don’t it goes with the Broncos at all. Why don’t the they work with the Denver Broncos team to come up with a song that would get them pumped up on game days?
That song is awful. Maybe it would work if we were the Saints. I haven’t lived in Denver for about 4 years now, but last time I checked there wasn’t a big jazz or swing movement going on. The song should get the players and fans pumped up, not make everyone want to sit down and wait for it to stop. What happened to more traditional football music like AC/DC. My personal choice would be for Encore by Jay-Z.
Horrible
Said to hear it… I tend to agree, born and raised here and the big jazz band did nothing for me. Might be fun at the stadium but why wouldn’t they let the fans choose this song…
My personal favorite and heard many times at the stadium, Thunder Struck by ACDC.
Great song but it’s certainly not fit to celebrate touchdowns in a football game unless you’re in New Orleans or something like that.
I was expecting a rock or techno song when I became aware of a new song but saw this aftermath.
I simply hope the audio crew for the Broncos reads our feedback and turns this around!
That song should be played to the taliban,it would have them waving their arms in surrender begging our troops to put them out of their misery!!!!
Ridiculous
Are the individuals who chose the song high. The Gary Glitter and Prince songs were bad enough.
It’s embarassing. How about something with some attitude.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy?
Seriously?
Come on. I mean seriously. Come on.
Since when does anything they do embody football. Especially something falling into the jazz category.
This song is horrible! In fact it makes me never want to go to see another game! Although it does fit most of the corporate ticket holders Invesco caters to! None of them cheer or will notice anyway! Good luck with that!
I beg of this fine orginization reconsider. That song is humiliating. Of course, I suppose for the opposition getting scored on by a team that would even consider for a moment playing that song in celebration is utterly demoralizing. Wow, and then suddenly, for the first time I can recall, a moment of being ashamed to be a Broncos fan overtook me.
WHAT???
THATS NO GOOD, THE PERFECT SONG IS-MY B— BY EMINEM AND D12
It’s hard to imagine anything less hip than this. It’s truly embarassing. I know that the Broncos are trying to appeal to the widest audience possible, but I think this will alienate more people than it pleases. I would rather have silence. Seriously. Big thumbs down. Say it ain’t so.
Oh please no! This is football!!
How about some “Hells Bells” by AC/DC when Mike or Tatum score?
This new song is absolutly horrid. Rock is definatly what should be played at football games or maybe for scoring a touchdown we should play toby keith’s Who’s your daddy?
OUCH!
I’m 40 years old and that sax gives even me a headache. I honestly would rather hear something redone along the lines of Apolo Four Forty “Stop the Rock” or (most) anything off the Gone in 60 Seconds sound track.
My head still hurts!
The song selection seems to be getting worse. Can we have someone in charge who is in tune with more hip music? What’s with the ’80s, jazz, and country? How about DMX’s “Party Up”?
That song s—-!!!!!!! How about “let the boddies hit the floor” by Drowning Pool. “Bodies”
In my mind we will all still be chanting F’ ‘em up…F’ ‘em up…GO BRONCOS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you hear the sound of the vacuum? This song s—- my will to cheer!
that song should never even be considered
I don’t get it……How could they change to such a lame song? Any one have a spare paper bag?
No matter, we’ve figured out that if we don’t score touchdowns, we don’t have to listen to that embarassing number. I guess that is okay, we can still score touchdowns at away games..I just hope we can put up enough field goals to continue to win at home - we’ll see.
I have to agree with Crush on this “Thunder Struck-AC/DC” is a very good choice. After all, what is our mascot’s name?
What needs to happen is a poll. Start with 10 choices and walk around downtown Denver with your MP3 players and ask people walking on the streets what they think.
Get it down to 5 choices and post it on the net for the final votes. Take the top three and run it past the players to see what they like and there we go.
IF done right you can have a new song in place by the Monday night game against the Ravens
Psymonkey got the point!
And it’s not only the Fans don’t want to hear this cruel song, no, more it’s a shame for us… =(
I dont like it either. Too pizzy for them!
Looks like KC found the perfect solution - I say we do the same thing:

“The Chiefs tried a fan vote, too, only to get dozens of angry e-mails. Though fans said they’d take “Boom” by P.O.D., they really wanted their old song back. So the Chiefs unearthed a cover version of “Rock and Roll, Part II,” by the Tube Tops, and got the NFL’s OK to play that. Never mind that the two versions sound almost exactly alike.”
We should bring it back, and not give that pedophile any more attention than he already has. Where does it stop? Do we need to do a background check on every artist before playing their music? Is someone investigating the costume designers for Miles and the Cheerleaders, too? What about the owner of the company that packs the sausages sold as “Thunderdogs?” Are his child support payments up to date? Gimmie a break - this a football cheer, not a socio-political statement.
Are we going to see Jay Cutler on Sunday against New England?
