Saw a lot of you talking about the Mile High Salute, which I’ve done after my touchdowns so far this year. That’s something I’m going to do every time I score a touchdown. That was a spur of the moment thing, and now I’m going to be consistent.
I saw Terrell Davis do it back in the day. That’s the good thing about running backs, we watch other running backs and there’s a lot of things I can learn from what T.D. did.
This weekend, people keep asking me about us being the underdog. We really don’t look into it, and really don’t even care about it.
It’s a great chance to turn things around, to get a win in Lambeau against the Super Bowl champs.
I think it would be a real eye-opener for everyone.

If McGahee gets 100 yds against the Packs we have ourselves a great one, this is what the Bears were able to do on the ground against them last Sunday:
Two guys ran it,
Jay Cutler 3 times for 11 yards with a long one of 9
and Matt Forte 9 times for 2 yards
13 yards rushing total!!!
A little preview video of the game for wetting you guys’ appetites:

Booo! I can’t watch it on my iPhone. Pshaw! You’d think with our advanced technology, flash wouldn’t always be necessary. Or Apple needs to bend a little.
McGahee….thanks bro for keeping up the rich traditions that the Broncos have, you are a true Bronco, hope you end up retiring as a Bronco, keep up the good work buddy,I love the Mile High Salute!!!!!!!!!!
Funny bay won’t call Moore 2-6 like he asks to be called, but will call McGahee 2-3…….whasssssssup bro?
TRB,calling for Orton to get hurt…sndvl…it might happen, don’t mean TRB is wishing it will, just means it could happen, they have a Helluva pass rush!!!
Oh yeah……TEBOW IS PRIMED AND READY TO GET ON THE FIELD!!!
For those who watched Utah St @ BYU: Heaps=Orton, Nelson=Tebow.
caramelloo, glad your Tigers are at the top spot this week bro (#1) but that’s just until the Vols play them, lol.
Slow tonight!!!
Just saw the sign up in denver telling fox to play.tebow, on total acess,I thought that was great. Lets hope he take heed on it.
Oh yeah I forgot……it’s 11:33 here time for a beer..or 2..or….3..6 packs!
Yeah tav, hope Fox can read….TEBOW TIME IN DENVER!!!!!!!!
Heck yea BFE!!!!!!
You know it brother!!!!!!!
Past Midnight here on the East Coast…only 10:00 pm MT?????
Live it up my Bronco Bros, you only live once!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you’re out kicking up your heels!!
I was,but now I’m home…sad!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!
Alright strand, time to turn my neighborhood purple….been lookin’ for ‘House of Blue Light’….guess I’ll make one…Deep Purple Rules!!!!
Kubiak and Dennison in 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless Fox pulls a rabbit out of his arse!!!!!
Thats a joke right BFE … if Houston keeps owning like they are right now with the fall of the Colts … those 2 aint leaving houston for a while. We missed our chance at Dennison … Its never too late I suppose … but lets let Fox stabilize our franchise before we do anything radical again lol. I think he is a great coach who has just unfortunately put his faith in the wrong OC and QB … 2 major positoins to win. TRB
Broncos could leave Knowshawn and McGahee in Denver for all the difference the running game is going to do this week. Their only hope is to match GB on defense shutting down the run – I think they can do it! – and then they have to match yard for yard, score for score, offensively – they don’t have a chance unless Orton gets hurt early. They still won’t have a chance because Quinn will likely be put in for a series or two that conclude in interceptions. (I still can’t figure what was seen in preseason to put Quinn ahead of Tebow but I don’t think those folks were watching the same game as the rest of us.) Broncs could have a chance if we had a few special teams and defensive touchdowns but ….
GB – 42 Den- 3
It pains me to say so but, I don’t think we have a chance. Orton – have a nice day going up and down the field. You are going to have to win it through the air. Green Bay’s defense line is gonna dominate scrimmage more than the Raiders did. So screen pass! Knowshawn in the flat! Don’t send them long until the GB defense is worn out.
prediction:
Broncs-7
Packers-30
suck for luck broncs!
Agreed TRB,but I was trying to get a bite….and it worked..I knew you would be the first taker…you are too much like me..we both liked Cutler,Marshall,Hillis, and Scheffler..not to mention Shanny,Kubiak, and Dennison….we will give Fox a chance tho..hope he takes full advantage of it,I think he can take us to the promised land with a good OC & QB!!!!
There you go bay…..2 more picks for a Broncos loss!!!!
Man how I long for the days that our beloved Broncos climb back to their rightfull position atop the AFC West!!!!
BTW…TRB…I thought the new Oline coach was gonna impliment the zone blocking scheme???WTF…..seems like it’s the same running against a brick wall scheme that McD brought here..will we ever get away from power blocking???
We have big OL but seems we still can’t get the power scheme down…I guess since we perfected the zoneblocking scheme….we need to stick with it…afterall it’s our BRAND!!!!!!!!
BTW…Walter Football.com has Kellen Moore,Boise State as a 4-5 rounder!
Looks like it’s Luck,Barkley,or Jones in the top 15 picks!!!
But between us I think we have our Franchise QB on the bench!!!
GO TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!
Our Defense is stepping up…even at DB with Vaughn,Dawk, and Moore…with Champ and Doom coming back,we have a shot at a top 10 Defense…too bad we have a top 30 Offense…..SAD!!!!!
OK….last sentiments tonight…..I may be a drunk redneck…but this is my take on the 2011 Denver Broncos…we have a proven HC…that I know can help us reach the next level,we have a great young DC that has taken our Defense to a higher level, when healthy we have the talent to compete with any team in the NFL (THAT INCLUDES THE PACKERS) what we need is a great OC that isn’t afraid to turn our players loose,if he’s given the chance (I think McCoy has had his chance, but sucks) and we need to put a REAL Field General on the field (we haven’t had one since Elway, but Tebow is the chosen one) he can win games, instead of managing to lose them…I don’t know about yall, but I’m looking forward to next year, when Orton and Quinn are gone and Tebow and Weber are the true Denver Broncos’ Leaders, and ain’t afraid to freaking prove it!!!
Well last sentiments at 2:00 AM here……Go Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shoot guys beer and pizza at 2:30
AM…
Beer, pizza, and football is hard to beat!!!!
I hear ya BFE … I explained about our whole power O dilemma a while back
Magazzu our OL coach is a zone guy. Zone was run in Carolina (hence why they were beastly runners) … the problem here lies with McCoy … who yes, once worked with Fox but never as an OC … his first OC job was with McDaniels which was where he adopted his power no run game style from. To get back to the zone and back to running well … we either need to figure out some what to run the Power O right OR fire McCoy and get a new OC who knows zone so that Fox and Maggazu can get back to doing what they do best. But looks like that power O crapola is here to stay … its a shame … especially since we made it famous. TRB
Thank’s for keeping up a young but great tradition with “The Mile High Salute” but I believe it was Anderson who actually started it… Just sayin.
Former Marine!
TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !
GO BRONCOS ! ! !
Yikes … didnt know Packrs Pass D was 31st … Orton is about to single handedly help em climb 15 spots lmao. TRB
Den-17

***Orton Broken leg in 4th qtr. Tebow scores 10 points in last 7 mins.
I’m gonna remember all of you wrote these things when we crush the pack.Besides they must win, I have a bet that I won’t shave till the Broncos win 2 straight and my beard itches to high heaven after one week already so bad I can’t sleep DBs 24 GB 17 GO BRONCOS CRUSH THE PACK!!!!
2-3, 2-6, what’s in a number? Rahim actually rather be called the dream, I’ll have to wait on that, haha.
Rodgers hopes Doom will be ready to go, I think that’s funny, the guy is actually more dangerous when he is under pressure than not, must be nice, us on the other hand we have Orton, LMAO:
“Elvis is a difference-maker,” Rodgers said. “And he’s fun to watch. As a fan, it’s exciting to watch him coming off the edge and wreaking havoc.”
“I think the guys that we get back this week, you know, they help us,” Allen said.
“We’ll see where Elvis is come Sunday, where he is physically, but if we’ve got both those guys (Miller) coming off edges, you’d feel better, wouldn’t you? I certainly would,” Allen said.
“You look at who you have and how you match up with the other team,” Allen said. “You try to put your players in the best position to be successful. We’re going to look at whoever we have on Sunday, and we’re going to call the game to put them in the best position to be successful.”
Insights as to what the game will look like from McCoy:
After practicing against the Broncos’ 4-3 defense in training camp and playing three opponents who play a similar scheme in the first three weeks of the season, the Broncos’ offense will face a 3-4 for the first time Sunday in Green Bay.
The Packers’ defense is particularly tricky because of the relentless pass rush of outside linebacker Clay Matthews, the 2010 NFC defensive player of the year. The Packers have 10 sacks, tied for fourth in the NFL after three weeks.
The Broncos’ offensive line improved its protection of Kyle Orton in the last two games, and offensive coordinator Mike McCoy said the staff has been trying to devise ways to help keep Matthews off the quarterback.
That might mean providing extra blocking help on the right side next to rookie tackle Orlando Franklin.
“We’ll do certain things to help him throughout the game,” McCoy said. “We’ve mixed plenty of things up, plenty of play action, quick passes, do some things to help him on the edge.”
Lloyd won’t be very pleased to hear that, LOL.
We will find out soon enough if one of our achilles heel from last year is in the past now, covering the TEs:
The Broncos could be in the nickel package frequently against Green Bay’s pass-happy offense, with Woodyard possibly charged with covering Packers tight end Jermichael Finley, who has 15 catches for 206 yards and three touchdowns this season.
“His quarterback knows how to use him well. He knows how to get open, and that’s what you have to do as a receiving tight end,” Woodyard said. “We’ll run man, we’ll run zone, but we just have got to cover.”
No early travel.
Because the Broncos and Packers will kick off at 2:15 p.m. MDT (with CBS’s top announcing team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms), the team will travel today, not Friday as it did last week for an 11 a.m. MDT game at Tennessee.
Yeah and the early travel last week didn’t work anyway…
Tonight midnight blog time is the deadline to make your score prediction, never any prediction taken on game day, no exception.
This is the latest Packers injury report:
Bulaga, Bryan T Out
Clifton, Chad T probable
Collins, Nick S Out

Michael “Mike” Heimerdinger – former wide receivers coach for Shanahan with the Denver Broncos, from 1995 until 1999 has passed away.
Condolences to his immediate family all who worked closely with him….
Mike Heimerdinger had a second stint with Coach Shanahan and worked with Jay Cutler in 2006-2007.
Same here, Mike shaped up Rod for all the great things he did for us.
“Thank’s for keeping up a young but great tradition with “The Mile High Salute” but I believe it was Anderson who actually started it… Just sayin.
Former Marine!” First off, there are no “former” Marines. Second it was the Denver Bronco Soldiers Era that started the Mile High Salute. Davis and Griffith made it happen, others followed. Not hackin on ya just keeping the facts in order.
Go Broncos.
Not trying to nitpick here but this is from this official Bronco website under “tradition”:
When Broncos fans think about touchdown celebrations, one stands out above the crowd – the Mile High Salute® .
Popularized by Ring-of-Famer Terrell Davis during his Broncos playing days from 1995-2002, it has since been continued on by players ranging from Mike Anderson to Mike Bell to Peyton Hillis, and countless others along the way.
The military-style salute is given to fans and teammates in celebration, typically standing in the end zone. Fans got used to the sight on the team’s run to back-to-back Super Bowls, when Davis frequently saluted the crowd after scoring plays.
Now it has become just as much a part of Broncos lore as Mile High Magic and “The Drive,” and the celebration can still be spotted today, both on the field and in the crowd.
