Mile High Salutes and Lambeau

September 30th, 2011 - 3:02pm by Willis McGahee

Saw a lot of you talking about the Mile High Salute, which I’ve done after my touchdowns so far this year. That’s something I’m going to do every time I score a touchdown. That was a spur of the moment thing, and now I’m going to be consistent.

I saw Terrell Davis do it back in the day. That’s the good thing about running backs, we watch other running backs and there’s a lot of things I can learn from what T.D. did.

This weekend, people keep asking me about us being the underdog. We really don’t look into it, and really don’t even care about it.

It’s a great chance to turn things around, to get a win in Lambeau against the Super Bowl champs.

I think it would be a real eye-opener for everyone.

Have a really funny feeling about the game tomorrow. Don’t know why and I’m also not saying that I think we’ll win but I’m going to go with an very pretty upset and say Broncos 27 Packers 24!

Also, little off topic, I got on NFL.com and saw that Dareus has exactly ZERO sacks or forced fumbles so far! He has a total of 7 tackles and that is it!!! I’m very happy that we have Miller and always figured that we’d get much more production out of Miller than Dareus!! Miller is such a rare specimen!! Let’s hope he gets his #3 and #4 sack tomorrow!! Really hope to see Doom in there with him as well!!

I saw ZZTop on concert and they were great. Even if Mathewa doesn’t play Orton will fumble without getting touched

Didn’t we cover vs Tennessee?? … I thought they were
    favored by 6 1/2 or 7!!!!

  8. seweatherman1 says:

Does anyone know if this game is going to be televised on national t.v. tomorrow? I have not heard one word about it here in sw FL.

  9. zhaoyunfan says:

not sure i think its cus dallas and houston play at 1 est so the late game is neither of them lol so they are showing it over here so i’m happy check your local listings :D

  10. seweatherman1 says:

These local yokels around here don’t list anything until Sunday morning, and then it is usually TBA! I don’t want TBA, I want to be able to watch the game!

  11. seweatherman1 says:

All the games they usually show down here are either Miami, Tampa Bay or Jacksonville games. It is bad when we have 3 pro teams in the same state.

  12. BroncoRoyaltyEst.1979 says:

Yeah the NFL usually televises regional games, so you may be out of luck. weatherman would be the ‘go-to-guy’ there and if he isn’t to sure what games will be shown then I wouldn’t have a clue.

  13. socalbigbroncofan says:

Yea. I can only watch this game on the nfl ticket.

  14. zhaoyunfan says:

they never show them here lol so this is why i’m so happy just hope that they can pull out a win would be huge

pretty sure I’m too late but just for the heck of it 24-21 packers win.

  17. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah S.D.Bronco30 and thanks for knowing the rules.

All predictions are in, no picks on game day, no exception.

    Good luck to everyone!

  18. baylinorcrush says:

Wiemin you are right, the line started at 4.5 Tennessee favorite and they only beat us by 3, good catch.

  19. broncosfreak30 says:

Yea I want to believe that we have a chance at beating GB but it’s going to be an extremely hard task!! We’ve actually been a lot better than people have been giving us credit for. Each of our losses have been decided by 3 points. Carolina came out and started out at 14-0 against GB. I will say one thing, WE NEED THE CHAMP AND DOOM BACK TODAY!!!!!!

sndvl: No problem. I feel as though we’re all a bunch of guys hanging out, BSing and able to poke a little fun at each other with no insult intended or perceived.
Being the old fart that I am, the current QQ reminds me very much of QQ many, many years ago. The Broncos traded TWO 1st rounds and a future HOFer (Willie Brown) for this QB with incredible potential, Steve Tensi. Steve had an incredible arm and looked like the real deal. To make along story short, he wasn’t, but not all of it was his fault. Most of the rest of the team were just plain lousy, especially the OL. The fans were on him worse then the current antiOrton faction. I certainly did my fair expressing my displeasure at his performance, or lack thereof. Tensi finally was gone after several years of poor performances. Rumor has it that he thew out his arm messing around and throwing the football 100, yes 100 yards, during the offseason. There are two main differences between Tensi and Orton. Tensi had exceptional potential with a pathetic cast surrounding him. Orton has minimal potential with an inexperienced cast with great potential around him. If only we could reincarnate Tensi with what we have now!
If you newer Bronco fans think fans are being vocal about wanting to get rid of somebody associated with the Broncos now, this is nothing compared to the vile reaction of all Broinco fans after Saban’s “Half a loaf is better than none” commrent after tying the Dolphins. I think I can truly say that the fans reaction to this comment was the overriding factor in the Broncos decision to fire Saban. He did generate incredible loyalty from the players. LIttle was so upset that he demanded that he be traded to Buffalo when Saban took the HC job there.
Just a little blast from the past.

Hello, Mr. McGahee! Admire your presence and performance on the field, and happy to have you in a Bronco uniform. I am not in Colorado, presently, but I do enjoy the Mile High Salute. I think it would be wonderful to see it evolve into something that fans participate in, by, say, standing, and returning the salute, if they don’t do that already!

  23. inigomontoya22 says:

That is what I’m talking about, you need to believe you can do it and then put your heart into it! I know it didn’t work out that way but I appreciate the effort!
