I can see it already.. “well, this season didn’t really end how we would like it to end; obviously we wanted to play in the playoffs but that didn’t happen. There are some things that we could have done better execution wise and maybe that starts with me and the coaching staff; maybe I did not do a better job getting them ready for the games that we should have won. I do believe that there are some positives that we came out with this season that we can work with into next season.”
reporter: “Coach Shanahan, are there any changes coaching wise that you have in mind thus far into the offseason?”
“Well, obviously when you give up over 450 points during the whole season something has to be done, but so far there’s no changes in mind”

KoobLis, it sounded like he would say that .Do any of you know if he will address the Javon Walker issue?? I also heard from nfl.com that Chad Johnson might be traded this offseason. Maybe we can swap J-Walk for Ocho Cinco and also give them a 4th round pick. Sounds perfect. Or trade him to Oakland so we will see him 2 times a year and Champ Bailey can smash him everytime. In my books, Javon Walker will be branded a baby for life.

No, im just curious if he is going to address the Walker situation. Personally, i just hope when he has his press confrence, he will anounnace that they traded Javon Walker and give all the details of the trade.
My fellow Broncofans, if any chances were going to be made coaching wise then it would’ve already happened on monday-wednsday. Shanahan is going to keep Jim Bates and Pat Bowlen is going to tolerate it for one more year. Javon Walker will be traded, mark my words; he will be traded within the weeks before the draft.
The Press does not question Shanahan, that’s just a rule in Broncosland; maybe it’s a rule that needs to be changed, but the press will never question Shanahan. Give it one more losing season and the questions will come. Travis Henry will be traded or waived..
I wonder if the “coach” will address how much of a failure he and staff were for the last two seasons. We know that players will always be the culprit of poor leadership, shown the door as usual. Until Shanny and his reindeers admit to poor decision-making, poor leadership, establishing an environment of lack of trust, over-paying avearge performers, then the players will never buy into what is going here. I would not want to play for a team where I cannot trust leaders.
Coachers are suppose to place players where they can be most effective, and we saw a lot of times where that was not the case. Grahm blocking more than catching and we pay him $10 mil signing, Myers moving around every week, Foxworth arguably the second best corner on the team-playing saftey even though he did ok, etc.
I thing the press conference will be just as Kooblish says. “well when you do what I did, this is what you get. Only thing is I’m not going anywhere, you got me for eight more years, and we will continue to find the right person for the positions…..
