Domonique,

No idea where to suggest this information, and I’ve emailed the Broncos but no response yet.

After reading everything last week, it’s clear that both families will still need financial support as well as Darrent’s foundation.

The Jimmy Fund (in Boston) has organized a great model for the Broncos or Darrent Williams’ Foundation to follow (click on this link: http://thelesterproject.blogspot.com/2006/09/recently-red-sox-rookie-jon-lester-was.html).

They are selling those silicone bracelets (like Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG ones) in honor of Jon Lester, who came back from Cancer this year. Denver could sell the bracelets for $2.00 a piece (cost is generally about $0.20 cents per bracelet), and raise funds for the 2 families/organizations. With over 75,000 + people coming to every home game this year, I’m sure that way more than 200,000 bracelets would be sold, equating to nearly $200,000 per family or foundation. You could get “All Ready” or something printed or debossed on the bracelets and sell them outside the gates of the main entrances into the Stadium.

If you guys have any information about how to present the idea (I’m not looking for a payday, just a big fan, season ticket holder, and someone who thinks these families ought to get more help) or where to send this info it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

George

I just now got a chance to read this blog...work man, you know how it is. Anyway, The San Fran game was awesome. Everyone's looking really good out there and that's what the first impression needs to be. It's good to see that you all have so many options when it comes to QB, sad to say that was a lot of the problem last year...but I'm sure you already know that.

Anywho, last night's game was...well I don't really know, I missed part of it with a dang migraine, but the first chance I got after I was feeling better it was on the TV. Dallas is a good team, what can I say. You guys practiced with them all week so I'm sure you knew that you were up against a tough team. It just sucked to see you all lose, but it's good work anyway. You guys always look good and just wish you all luck next week!!

I know you said you had wanted to see D Will's family, were you able to do that? I can't even imagine how you guys felt that first game out there. Both him and Damien Nash were big losses but I know you guys are a strong team and will help each other deal with whatever comes your way. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this season and with dealing with all this stuff. Take care man!!
