It’s one thing to not play in a preseason game. But the Broncos’ starters who are sitting out tonight aren’t even wearing any pads. They’re in uniform, but are dressed for a photo shoot, and not a game. Seems logical, considering that they’re not going to play anyhow, but it’s still jarring to look on the field and see a slew of players in uniform, but merely observing.
The players out of uniform include:
- Offensive Line: LT Matt Lepsis, LG Ben Hamilton, C Tom Nalen, RG Cooper Carlisle, RT George Foster
- Tight End: Stephen Alexander
- Backs/Receivers: QB Jake Plummer, FB Kyle Johnson, WR Rod Smith, WR Javon Walker
- Defensive Line: DE Ebenezer Ekuban, DT Michael Myers, DE Kenard Lang
- Linebackers: WLB Ian Gold, MLB Al Wilson, SLB D.J. Williams
- Defensive Backs: CB Champ Bailey, SS Nick Ferguson, FS John Lynch, CB Darrent Williams
Courtney Brown and Gerard Warren also remain out.

I agree with your post. I also find it very disheartening to see those guys, (who represent the Bronco’s) just joking around with each other, laughing and having a good old time! If they are not going to dressed to play and warming up. They could be over next to the stands showing support for THERE FANS by saying hi, giving out autographs. After all if there were no fans would there be any reason for them to play? I feel that Jake could really use some positive help in this area and by coming over to the stands and greeting his fans would be a great way to fix that. On a great note I would like to give a big WAY TO GO to Al Wilson. He was suited up to play and he ran over for a quick second to autograph a mini helmet for a young Bronco fan. My hat is off to you. Just my 2 cents worth
