Let me preface this with a little of my history of being an AVID Broncos fan.
I started following the Broncos in 1976, when I was a kid living in Bolivia, South America. We listened to football on Armed Forces Radio. My Mom was born in Simla, and most of my relatives live there, and in neighboring small towns. When my Dad was in Vietnam we lived in Simla, and thus was born my eternal love for Colorado. I attended The Colorado Institute of Art, in Denver, for about a year.........then "played" for another two years. It was hard to want do much of ANYTHING but hurl myself down a steep mountain in the dead of winter , with some long "boards" strapped to my feet. There is NO skiing like what the Rockies provide. What would Colorado be without the Rockies?
Hmmmm......So I watched my Broncos......Craig "snort'n" Morten, Haven Moses, Karl Mecklenburg, the Three Amigos, the list gos on and on.
Until we were BLESSED with the foresight of Mike Shanahan and his sixth round pick of Terrell Davis. Even with THE GREATEST RECEIVER EVER ( I speak of ROD SMITH ) the Broncos could never seem to clear that last hurdle to the Super Bowl...........until Mr. Davis took the field. I am 45 years old. I was able to watch some of the greatest running backs the game has seen. I have nothing but AWE for some of those men, but I can say without hesitation that Terrell Davis meant MORE to the Broncos than ANY of those others meant to their teams. So before my girlfriend kills me for taking so long to write this...............
What would the Denver Broncos be without Terrell Davis?
Hmmmmmm.

PS. God bless you Rod........miss you man !!! Godspeed
