Looks like it'll be Prater on kickoffs ... I can't imagine why he'd be active otherwise.

mikebirty:

Saw the whole thing ... to me, City's plan was Sven's response to the debacle at Stamford Bridge several weeks back. He didn't have the horses to keep up with Chelski, but he ran them anyway ... and our guys got run out of the building. Today, he turned it 180 degrees ... which is the prudent thing to do, since the City back line can shut down just about anyone as long as Micah Richards controls his temper. This shows just how much City needs to use the transfer market to get some scoring help, because aside from Elano, no one seems bold enough to try anything some games.

It wasn't an attractive game, but I'll take the point ... It's treading water, but that can buoy us for the moment until we can add a striker or two ... I'm more disappointed about the Blackburn result a few days ago; that was one we needed.

I hope we keep Prater around! Sounds like under the tutelage of Elam he can seamlessly transition us into a new kicker era, and perhaps tie or break the record Elam already holds :). Hey Mason, any idea who is going to handle kickoffs? Is it Prater, or Paulescu? Is Prater even active or is he on the practice squad?

It was good to see Hixon go into NY and come out fighting, he did great on his returns. It only goes to show me that our kickoff coverage needs help, especially playing in Mile High.

Did you manage to catch any of City vs Liverpool? It was like watching paint dry, I don't think either side would've scored even if they played until next year.

Maybe the Dolphins get a blimp because shooting from that high up is the only way they can get Bill Parcells' entire ego into the shot.

Andrew

Why are the media concentrating on the New England Cheats?

Surely the NFL need to recognise that allowing and endorsing cheating by New England has led to a record that is unwarranted and brings ridicule on the whole game.

Why can nobody stand up against this cheating, or is it endemic throughout the whole of American "sport"?

Maybe it needs to be referred to the President?
