INVESCO Field at Mile High sits proudly on the Denver landscape today, drenched in the sunshine of a gorgeous but crisp afternoon as summer releases its grip on the Front Range, yielding to what, at least for today, will be a lovely autumn.

Now THAT was overwrought, eh?

Both teams are on the field, going through the paces of their warmups. There are no unexpected roster changes for the Broncos; Courtney Brown, listed as doubtful throughout the week, is out of uniform, so Kenard Lang is slated to start at defensive end for a second consecutive week.

Denver’s inactives: Wide receivers Charlie Adams and Todd Devoe, tight end Nate Jackson, defensive linemen Brown and Elvis Dumervil, offensive linemen Chris Kuper and Adam Meadows and linebacker Nate Webster.

Plenty of pomp and circumstance in the air on this afternoon. Balloons, banners, flags, fireworks, pom-poms. Game officials are wearing short sleeves, so it can’t be all that chilly. No individual introdctions, as the Broncos opt to race out onto the field together, college-style.
