Broncos-Chiefs: Pregame Notes – Walker Out

December 9th, 2007 - 1:04pm by Andrew

Javon Walker

After playing the last two weeks and being in uniform for all three practices this week, Javon Walker is back on the inactive list as one of the Broncos’ game-day scratches.

The wide receiver logged one catch for seven yards in the two games he played after returning from Oct. 19 knee surgery, but appeared to be on the road to recovery after his playing time tripled from the Chicago loss to the Week 13 defeat at Oakland seven days later.

While Walker is inactive, Brandon Stokley will play. Like Walker, he had been listed as questionable on the injury report this week. Stokley, however, did not practice as much as Walker, sitting out the Wednesday and Thursday sessions.

Joining Walker on the inactive list are safety Nick Ferguson, who did not practice at all this week, fullback Mike Bell, newly signed safety Marviel Underwood, guard Isaac Snell, defensive ends Larry Birdine and Paul Carrington and quarterback Darrell Hackney, who will be in uniform as the No. 3 signal-caller.

For Kansas City, there were no real surprises among their inactives; as expected, tackles Kyle Turley and Damion McIntosh were left off the active roster. Linebacker Derrick Johnson, who did not practice this week following the death of his foster, is up on the Chiefs’ 45-man active roster.

Kansas City’s six other inactive players are wide receivers Samie Parker and Eddie Drummond, running back Larry Johnson, cornerback Rashad Barksdale, defensive tackle James Reed and linebacker Kendrell Bell.

    Mason,

Please change the BroncosTV theme song and intro next year, and also I think you give too much away during the season, so maybe stop the blog also (but I do love it). Thank you.

“Give too much away” … what on earth are you talking about?

And why don’t you like the theme song? (Personally, I love it; we were using it pretty often as background music on pieces before making it the theme.)

I won’t, denverfan, unless someone in authority tells me to … seems like we’ve seen a few more haters pop up around here in recent weeks … but I’ve got no umbrage with that, since you have to be good to be hated.

31 year fan of Broncos Andrew, first time poster.

My username could be a nickname for the Broncos defense. :)

Its refreshing to watch a young man like Marshall play. I totally feel he has even more to give. Next time you see him, please tell him a fan suggested he look up Michael Irvin for some offseason work. He is an Irvin clone but with better moves. I think Michael can help him use his huge body to a greater advantage, especially in the redzone.
Thanks for all the hard work. Aloha.
