Back on the Field

November 9th, 2011 - 5:22pm by Rahim Moore

First and foremost I want to say I feel fine and blessed I got to hit the practice field today.

As for the injury in Oakland, it’s hard to explain how I felt. I remember everything from the play — I was looking to pick off the pass and ran into my teammate’s shoulder. I just thank God I’m able to recover from those things, and suit up again. It was really tough, especially because my family and my mom was there. But the main objective is that we got the win. So I’m blessed that I was a part of that.

Right after the injury I felt fine. I even felt like I could’ve come back in. I felt like me, just laughing with the team on the flight home — that’s how I knew I was back to normal.

I was just mad because it felt like I couldn’t be a part of a win. But I’m just glad we came out with the win, I would’ve been even more upset if we didn’t come out with the win. I’m proud of how the team went out there and they played some great Broncos football.

In the locker room after I got injured, I was cheering on the team like a fan, screaming and all that. I was calling out Oakland’s plays and trying to see what we were running on defense against it. I was like, am I really watching my teammates play? It makes you want to play more. I’m just glad our fans got what they deserved, which is a W.

Now we’ve got a shot at another one, but Kansas City is a tough team. They had a bad loss last week, but they showed some capability. I’ve got some good friends there – Brandon Flowers, Brandon Carr, Eric Berry – so I’m looking forward to seeing these guys play.

This week will be a good test for us. Everybody in the NFL comes ready to play. Just because Kansas City lost to Miami and we beat Miami, we’re not underestimating the Chiefs, because they can play. They beat teams that we haven’t beaten this year like the Chargers. So it’s going to be a tough matchup. In this league, everybody’s good no matter what given week it is. I’m looking forward to the challenge.

Crazy thing is the only play I missed off the game was the first play and when I turned the game on all I saw was that you were hurt. Glad you good. I’m liking your and carter getting experience … will only help for the future. You guys are so interchangeable and do well with your opportunities.

Best of luck to you. Glad you are ok and able to hit the field today. Unfortunately you won’t be able to see Berry play since he is hurt … but that man can flat out play … the fifth dimension indeed. Soon everyone will know about “Rahim Dream”

    Later days, TRB –

Hey – Rahim. Someone said here that Denver post reported you had been knocked cold. Sounds like DP made that part up. I did look back at the film and it looked like you got rocked pretty hard. I’m glad you are ok. Are the new concussion rules going to force you to be out?

Can’t tell you how anxious we all are for the game.

    Go BRONCOS!!!
