Looking forward to this Sunday when we get a shot at another team in the division.
I think a win would be a big turning point for us, and it would be a great way for us to go into our bye week with a lot of confidence.
Having played in the AFC, I’m pretty familiar with the Chargers. I know what’s going on. That’s the good thing about me having played in the conference — I’ve gone up against them a couple times.
They’ve just got great players. Takeo Spikes, Shaun Phillips, Quentin Jammer, all those guys on defense, we’ve got to prepare to be able to stop those guys and make sure they don’t disrupt our passing and running games.
I’m looking to keep it up this week, because it’s all about having fun. So stay tuned.

Cant wait for the game Willis
Keep gettin in the endzone and keep throwin up that Mile High SALUTE!
I love a player who understands this is a game and it’s all about having fun, and with McGahee it shows.
If they are still having fun we should too. Rally behind our team no matter what! Cant wait for sunday!
Very impressed with your game against the Pack. Keep making friends with the O-line. They are looking better each week as well.
Looking forward to the game this sunday and I would love to see a W out of it. On the other hand, I don’t want to see a W that would result in a few more weeks of Mr. Mediocrity at QB.
Short and to the point! Thanks for keeping in touch with all us fans Willis M!
GO BRONCOS!
Chargers have beaten us 8 out of the last 10 times I believe … Its time to take this rivalry back. I salute you as well Willis. Good luck on Sunday.
TRB
Good luck Sunday Willis. May you and the rest of the team bring us a W!
I hope to see a lot of Mile High Salutes this weekend. I have a question, I’m in the stone age still and don’t have internet on my phone but do they still send out Broncos updates via text messages? I used to get them but I haven’t gotten them at all this season but maybe because internet is almost on every phone they don’t send the message updates out anymore.
can’t wait tell sunday. we are at a cross roads. we need this game.
vanilla posts from here on out. at least on the actual boards a mod tells you what you did.
So only ten bloggers picking us to lose so far ? Hey I may get a few points out of this since I`m in the cellar with the wall of shame back in week 1. NICE!! LOL
I`m glad Willis McGahee is playing for us now. Our one strong RB for this year. Go gettem WM!!!!!!!!!
This Sunday I’ll be on my way to St George Utah for a softball tournament, so I’ll probably miss most of the game … always seems to happen at the same time … too bad – I love it when I’m watching a Broncos/Chargers game w/ all my SD friends … that’s why the Broncs HAVE to win this one – or it will be a very LONG week up there … as I said before, I just have a feeling we’re going to put it all together this week … boy – the difference between a win or a loss going into the BYE week is monumental – it’s like a fork in the road of the season – I’m sure we’ll see a great team effort … too bad we’re never at full strength – course nobody else is either … go Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This will be a very interesting game for us heading into the bye week. I see us getting off to a fast start and putting up 14 points in the first quarter only to watch a big lead slip away as the game progresses. look for SD to take the lead 24 – 17 in late 3rd early 4th then it gets worse from there.. final score:
San Diego 31
Denver 24
I want to see us win this game, but I think we get out matched as we approach 60 min of football
Actually, Mr Orton is at the same fork in the road – his career path to a huge extent will be based on the outcome of this game, like it or not …
Did anyone else see the bio on Kurt Warner on NFL network last night?? … his is an incredible story – almost as good as Susan Boyle’s … there was one sequence when he was with the Rams, and he was on the sideline when Torry Holt was “crying” because they weren’t callin “his” play … “call a 4 – call a 4″ – he kept at Coach Martz and Kurt for the longest time, bitching because they were’nt calling his number … a man out for himself, for sure … then one where Fitzgerald of the Cardinals wanted another pass so he could get 100 yds in the game – Warner responded “how about we win the game” … if you watched all the show, you really could see what dedication and hard work can do … and a guy “lifting his team on his shoulders” … and the tremendous punishment an NFL quarterback gets … amazing, really – as Bay says, its a wonder any of them can walk after they retire … as for Warner, he did pretty good on Dancing With the Stars – so he fortunately made it through pretty well … but he was really hurt a lot, too … his wife said everyone else watched the passes and the catches, but she watched the hits on him after the throws … takes a different kind of person to struggle through that, for sure … think of that next time you bad mouth Orton and put him down …
Another Warner thing – when he was with the Giants and Eli Manning was a rookie – they had an offense that they wanted Eli to run which wasn’t to Warner’s strengths – and they weren’t going to change it for Warner – course, this is kind of the opposite of the Broncos situation – an older QB here, playing, and a younger one in the wings, and not wanting to change the system (especially in the middle of the season) to accomodate the other QB … they’d need more than a year and a couple of training camps to do that … so if Tebow DID come in, it would be to mostly run a system he’s not suited for … so all you guys who keep harping for him, it DOESN”T WORK THAT WAY … “to every thing, there is a season”, the old adage (bible) goes …
It does make you wonder, though, what the hell was going on in “preseason”, when Orton was on the trade block … if he’d gone to Miami, then – would they have elevated Quinn, or would they have tried to put in a system for Tebow … that would probably have meant they were going to “write off” the season, because they just wouldn’t have had time to do it right … but if that had been their ultimate plan, it would have been the right thing to do … you can try to figure it out, but too much just doesn’t make sense … seems to me they never really had a “plan”, and were just trying to dump salary and contraversy … in the end, they had both – and still do …
Wiemin, doesn’t really matter cuz quite honestly … they told TT he would be the guy I believe … in the offseason. Thats why he was leading camps and Lloyd was backing him. Heck they put Orton on the trading block right after the season. The fact remains its not about switching styles in the middle of the season or when we almost traded Orton to Miami …. if they had him on the block since the end of last season … and Told TT he would be the guy … they shoulda had a whole of season of nothingness to come up with a TT friendly system. I guess the only excuse could be that without him around they couldn’t come up with one … but I think that would be a pretty weak excuse. They just ain’t ready to make the move or are incapable for using him right. IMO. TRB
Amazing some of you never get tired creating controversy for the Broncos. Old news. I’m going to have fun watching you pound the rock against the Chargers 2-3. I think you shut up Victor (Altitude ) last week with your busting some nice runs . Keep it going man, love your effort!
Soooo much negativity with bronco fans Im with you Imready LOL. I read something alittle ways back when someone said it looked like mcgahee was haveing fun, you can see it on his face, dont these people on here think they outta learn from that. Lets support the broncos and quit complaineing, they read all this negative BS just the same as we do, reckin thats just alittle added pressure just saying. True bronco fans dont complain period, and it wouldnt matter what management does youll find something else to gripe about, goodluck this sunday BRONCOS kick some Butt.
Thanks for taking the time to talk with us Mr. Mcgahee. I enjoy hearing your thoughts and your upbeat attitude. Have a great game, I’ll be cheering for you and the team. Go Broncos
Glad you are with the team, you are a beast!!! Thanks so much for doing the MileHigh salute IT means a lot. Especially with the way the Bronco Nation is right now! I knew you would tear it up this season, I picked you up in my fantasy league right away!!! Good luck this weekend, Hope Von has 2 more sacks and you rush for another 100yrd game!! Also A W
It’s Bronco Country not Broncos Nation!

Win or lose, Mr. Mediocrity is going to be the starter for the rest of the season, so get used to it. Tim Tebow isn’t the QB for the type of offense the Broncos have anyway. He is more of a run QB, and that being said John Fox does have some plays specific for Tebow, but as far as the way the offense is run Kyle Orton is our guy, plus if my Broncos are willing to let Orton lead them, then so am I. Orton is a good quarterback, he just gets nervous in the pocket and believe me, he knows he shouldn’t be turning the ball over that much. P. Rivers and Kyle Orton have both thrown 6 int’s this season, the difference between The Chargers 3-1 to our 1-3, is the Defense. So, you can’t blame what has happened so far this season all on Kyle Orton, sure he’s made some mistakes and some times he can’t capitalize when he’s in the red-zone, but if our defense doesn’t step it up, then it doesn’t matter what Orton does, we’re stilling going to be trailing through the game on Sunday and the rest of the season. So, lets hope the defense is feeling like the Orange Crush again, lets hope Kyle Orton, our starting QB, brings his “A-Game” on Sunday and lets hope The Denver Broncos can bring the magic back to Mile High.
